Are play station exclusives going too far?
Ok I may be completely wrong in what I'm about to say but I'm just very curious. Throughout destiny's life PlayStation has been given many exclusives due to Sony's investment you could say to bungie(I'm aware it was allot though not sure how much, maybe it really is worth it). As an Xbox player I've been getting fairly jealous of PlayStation's constant 1year in advance quests, weapons and soon to be sparrows and sparrow armor or whatever they are going to call it along with iron banner armor. I was wondering what my fellow community members thought about this, both those of Xbox and PlayStation. Are they giving them too much, too little, is it too long of a wait for Xbox players etc. Please let me know because as I said I'm very curious of other people's perspective. (Thanks, and good luck)

No see where the punch to the testicles should come is now you also no longer get CoD exclusives either since they sold out to Sony this year. Xbox is just slowly losing their timed exclusives, Sony is paying more and the companies are glad to take the money. Just how it is. Ps3/360 age, 360 got ALL the timed exclusives. Now it's Sony's time

I wouldn't get mad a a kid because he had a brand new bike with pegs and 360 handle bars. I rode my huffy that i had to pump up the tires on everyday and loved every minute of it. 5 AntwortenBeing a ps4 user I think it's the same as how the cod dlc for Xbox was. HOWEVER waiting an entire year for Xbox users to get the content is a little much. I mean we waited a month or two for stuff Xbox got early for CoD. I think it should be at least 2 months so it's fair, not a year in my opinion.

Being someone that has both XB1 and PS4 and had Y1 Destiny for both consoles I can tell you this: With the couple less items on XBox meant you had less grinding and RNG to deal with. So, you should count yourselves lucky.

Granted 343 aren't that good, soon Halo Reach will be on backwards compatibility so life. -Tomb Raider? Have you played that game? Seriously, it's amazing. -Gears of War? May be an older game but it is still amazing So quit b*tching and let playstation have something nice

2 AntwortenI felt this way when xbox had call of duty. But now I don't play it anymore I just play destiny. Way I see it.....well.. I don't care if a xbox player wants the playstation exclusives go trade in your xbox problem solved :)

Who cares? Different systems, different games. I've never compared the two. As long as they make a game worth playing I'm good, once I'm bored of it I'll move on.

I'm a ps4 player but I have Guardians friends on the other side of the green fence and I don't like that they're getting a worse product than I am year round. It's hella awkward explaining weapon metas and certain builds and they have no idea what it is.

The length of time? Sure... The content itself that's being held back, nah. Not missing much. Hawkmoon was our greatest victory - That ride is over.

Exclusives are a bit annoying, but they are fine in the right time frame. The fact that they made us wait a year to get the PS exclusive strikes when the game was severely lacking in end game content was absurd. The should've agreed on 1-3 month exclusives. That way the PS4 kids get to swing their dicks around and feel good about themselves for a month, but xbox users aren't completely shafted.

Well they still complain about the same shit we do so I dont see the big deal. It doesn't give them a leg up on us seeing as to how we don't play against them, so why worry about it? I haven't played in a hot minute but I'm glad bungie didn't completely remove themselves from a vast majority of the people that helped them pave the way to where they are now. That would be been the biggest insult.

Keep in mind, Sony is paying for your jealousy. That is the value that they seek. If you want to see the end to exclusives, stop caring.

I can remember when Xbox would get COD exclusives. It's been going on for a while. I figure Playstation had to do something since they started charging for online gaming. If you can remember, Destiny was the original add for the release of PS4.

Lol Sony probably signed up for a determined number of exclusives. Remember last year there were exclusives at each expansion.

1 AntwortenI know that I (on Xbox) will get everything next year, so I'm alright. But what about the sparrow stuff? What if the event stops before we can get the quest? Then I might be mad.(this is kind of because I'm a collector in this game and I want everything... lol)

1 AntwortenI have both consoles, and cannot say I have been particularly impressed by any of the exclusive content. I went with PS4 for Destiny as I preferred the controller on PS4.

1 Antworten1 year is absurd. It's a proven fact that exclusives hurt more than they help. 3 months is more reasonable considering that destiny 2 will be out before the exclusivity period expires. Basically xbox players paid for something they will never get. Remember when 3D Blu rays were released? All of the exclusive bullshit between the TV manufactures hoarding content is what killed the format. Temporary is good, but 1 year, that's bad business.

3 AntwortenSony its paying extra money for the games. Sony its in trouble, their 3d tvs, vaio computers were a failure. So they are investing most of its money in the ps4. All those exclusives dont matter... i was a ps3 player until they got hacked in 2008, those times microsoft had the cod dlcs a month before the ps3. Its just a way to create hype. They create desperation, but it really dont make any diference. It didnt made any difference waiting for hawkmoon and monte carlo and its not going to make any diference waiting for jade rabbit. You can collect all exotic weapons armor and all the exclusives, but at the end you will always use the same weapons. Some weapons work for some people and others dont. Think about it, you have tour go to primary secondary and heavy, the rest are either for fun or collection. Imo its just a marketing strategy that works really good... it creates an illusion of panic but at the end it makes no difference

PS user. Hawkmoon is amazing but Monte Carlo and 4th Horseman aren't that great. One exclusive weapon isn't a huge deal and I doubt the armor will be different. Also a whole game is exclusive from the same developer and probably shouldn't be. TLDR Exclusives shouldn't be a thing but compared to how much Xbox has gotten over PS the few guns we got aren't a big deal
