First is Sparrow Racing, next is...?
Before we begin...my goal here with this post (if it doesn't get drowned in the sea of tears going on right now in the forums) is for some [b]POSITIVE[/b] creative fun.
Destiny is getting a racing event. Cool! I personally love Forza and when I want to have balls out racing I'll play that (or take my Hemi-powered Steed out for a spin). But, most of us gamers are a competitive bunch and we already race on our sparrows through patrol or on our way to shoot Rockets McDickface. So this is a fun addition to have an event to reward what most of us do in the game anyway.
Now...let's get creative and brainstorm some ideas of incorporating other game genres into Destiny. Remember, [b]POSITIVE[/b] creative fun here...
My ideas:
- Side view fighting game like Mortal Kombat. Dreg vs Gorgon...FIGHT!
- Space combat game like Star Fox...using our already earned ships that now have combat stats (Space Bus is OP, pls nerf)
- Destiny Hunt...a fun little mini game in the Tower like Duck Hunt. Different engrams pop up and fly around the screen. When you miss them Rahool shows his ugly mug and laughs at you.
I'll stop there so the community can help conjure up some fun. What would be cool in your eyes?

[b]EDIT:[/b] Here is a list of what I've noticed are the most mentioned/requested/demanded new game modes, in no particular order...
- Space Combat
- A true horde/endless mode at the tower or city walls
- Shank Jousting
- Shooting Range at the Tower
- Destiny's version of Griffball
- Mini games/casino games at the Tower
- Custom games (already on Bungie's radar but enough demand to mention)
- A Warzone type massive PvP/PvE mix
- Whore'd mode...with a stripper pole and accompanying dancers in the lounge area of the Tower. (Not actually a huge request for this...but hell, it's my post and I thought it was funny) =p
Someone let me know if I completely missed one of the popular ones. I'm going to make a separate post in #feedback to pass things along.

1 AntwortenWhatever the event, there will be micro transactions tied to the event. So something like Shank jousting or some other type of battle system(Grimoire card battles!) could work because you could technically buy upgrades from Tess. Not saying it's a bad thing, just that it's going to be a thing all the time. But card battles tho!

I want content that encourages the use of all abilities, gunplay, supers, teamwork; you know all the stuff that makes Destiny. I really don't like racing games. I think they are incredibly boring. I've watched lots of videos on sparrow racing and it looks underwhelming at best. I'll play it to give it a chance, but I just really hope that Bungie doesn't resort to gimmicks like this in the whole year two. This time last year we were all enjoying the Dark below; which I would take DLC content like that over sparrow racing every time.

Hide and seek. Similar to G-Mod. Custom maps like that of crucible with cool hiding spots. One seeker goes out and anyone he finds becomes another seeker to assist him.
