Damn. The Messenger is still pretty OP.
Why was this gun not changed with HopScotch?
Just saw someone demolish me with that "crutch" gun. Poor little Red Death stood no chance.
Only my sniper did. I told the kid to take off the crutch, and instantly summed him the moment after.
But why does this weapon still exist? Lol surprised it's not the new meta.
Edit: I ain't mad about anything. Just stating an opinion on this weapon. Fixed typos.

I believe when they changed the HopScotch they left Messenger as is because it was "harder" to obtain than the HopScotch. Messenger being trials reward and maybe they thought it deserved the stats as to where HopScotch could be obtained by more people. I don't know, just an assumption. I know I died from HopScotch way more than Messenger though.

2 AntwortenMessenger was pretty nuts. But now it just hangs out in my vault for the memories. I don't use year one attack guns in crucible any more. Not since week one of ttk at least. While I admit that I do get a little irritated seeing them still, I feel that most people agree with me.

1 AntwortenFunny. When pulse rifles got buffed in Year 1 in the Dark Below, I never saw anyone crying about Three Little Words Super Pox Fair and Square. Then 2 pulse rifles hit the scene that were harder to obtain Hopscotch Pilgrim The Messenger Everyone cries OP. All these weapons did 38 to head 41 with Headseeker. Same damage, rate of fire. You could get a god roll on a Spare Change and no one cries OP. Then they nerf the Hopscotch and you guys are like "Thank god, no pulse should have perfect stability, but don't mind my Nirwen's Mercy I got handed out to me by Lord Saladin "it may not be high impact but too damn effective. So many hypocrites in here. Happy I stopped playing this game. I don't get it. At all.

3 AntwortenIt wasnt changed because it was a year 1 Trials reward. the Adept version also reads [i]"An elite trophy earned on by trials of osiris champions."[/i] Which i thinks been changed because i dont remember it saying that.

Only year one gun I use in pvp is universal remote on maps like cauldron, and other maps that I know how to take control with CQC. Which if played right all maps.

Bro what do you expect from here. Messenger is OP just like the rest of the meta in year 1 with thorn/TLW. Trials year 1 was thorn/TLW and messenger/hopscotch. All the scrubs get defensive about it. I used all those guns for trials but I don't use year 1 guns anymore in PvP. Anyone still using it thinking they're nice is the real scrub. Pick up new weapons and adapt for those who think they're nice without the gun

8 AntwortenI like how we're 3 months into TTK and nobody has said anything about messenger.. Until you came along. Maybe you're the scrub for dying? Maybe the weapon isn't OP? Just cause you died to a gun doesn't mean it's OP. That's literally what happens to all the people that cry for nerfs. They get killed by a gun and say it's OP rather than blame themselves for getting outplayed/rekt

9 AntwortenYes, it's still a monster, but most refuse to use year 1 weapons because they think light level matters in normal crucible...or something, idk. Still, it's not quite as good as it used to be since Perfect Balance got nerfed, and it's possible to get a better Spare Change, although that would require a lot of luck.
