Because usually with kids you end up getting this constant audio stream of consciousness. Here is an excerpt from a minute of starting off a Raid run with your average young human:
"hey, I only have 97 scout rifle rounds lef..oh my god guys, that centurion almost knocked me off. this run is going to be so OP. there's this kid at my school that told me we could find a chest in the left totem room, we should look. oh my god guys, these shields are never going to go down. hey, what is everyone's favorite primary to use? I really need some heavy amm...holy cow, that guy totally just super dunked the orb. do y'all ever wonder why the poison gas hurts you even though we have on space suits. hehe, that's so dumb. oh my god, that firefly explosion was awesome. does anyone know where moldering shards come from? YYEESSSSS! guys, I just got some heavy ammo. which sword do you think is the best? my cousin has all three of the swords and he told me that the void is the best, but I think that is because his middle school's colors are purple which means he should probably not like it because their football team totally sucks this year but I can't tell him that because then he would be mad at me and my mom would find out and..does anyone need to go invisible right now? My smoke grenade just recharged. I love to make other people go invisible..oh my god, what if we could have these in real life."

Tried to do the raid the other day with a bunch of kids and they couldn't even kill a shrieker. Ended up just booting them all out of the raid lol. I was done.

1 AntwortenI had to deal with my first LFG kid last night. He was fine knew what he's doing he stayed through ups and downs and we completed the raid and all had a happy ending. But... My god he was rude, impatient, constantly saying his 'friend' could join even when we repeated 10 times we where waiting 5 minutes for a fellow clan member to help him finish the raid for the first time and being generally disrespectful to my mates (I was hosting) The worst point, was talking over me as I'm trying to explain the oryx flight and what is involved to a friend so at least he has an idea what to do and isn't caught of guard. Not labelling every 12-16 year old in this category but It is easy to see why people get a bad rep with things like this happening.

Hit the nail on the head. Thankful for the mute option. Bump

"NO MUM I CAN'T JUST PAUSE IT.... " Mum in background," I don't care... If you don't pause it, you can't have it" "Player has left the fire team" OR we bait the mum to get on 😂 had a good chat to a mother before... Convinced her we were only going to be half an hour TOPs, she believed us because we're all older non-squeaker men....

43 AntwortenInvited a kid in yesterday for the "challenge" mode. He asked if I was married and I said I was. He then asked me if I had any kids which I replied we do not. " So you haven't done it with her yet hahahaha!" I was honestly dumbfounded and instantly booted him. Got a normal person instead and had a great time.

13 AntwortenI'm 14 years old currently. Anytime I join trials groups I join the party and say I'm ready then I'm instantly booted the second they hear my voice. It's really not fun anymore because I have to spend hours to get a group for a raid or trials.

71 AntwortenBearbeitet von F GGY TIME: 12/4/2015 12:38:12 AMWe had a kid in my last raid team (sounded real young), light was 310, we were at oryx I could tell he was nervous he hasn't beaten it on hard yet. He died a few times we restarted, I could tell he felt bad. Luckily we had a really legit fire team and everyone was chill and patient. About the 4th retry the kid died again after first round of staggering oryx, he was pretty upset and was apologizing and thinking we would have to wipe, we were like "nah man we gonna 5 man this shit and your gonna beat oryx on hard for the first time" We 5 manned the rest of Oryx and kid finally got to beat it, I wasn't even excited about my loot I was actually happier he just got to beat it he was so excited and kept thanking us. Felt good man. I know not every younger kid is like this and not every fireteam member will have that kind of patience, so don't think I'm preaching or anything, i'm just sharing a fun experience. EDIT: awesome replies you guys, spread the love :)

2 Antwortenfrom my crew I often hear "is your mic working?" or "are you on mute?" ... no, just concentrating :p i don't care to play with those that cannot shut up talking about themselves, how awesome they are or what a scrub I am. I know i can't hit a damn thing. start shooting at my targets too so we can get this done! :)

24 AntwortenMy friend has an 11 year old son. I play with him and sometime help his son out. My friend is very good and his son is almost as good, sometimes I hear his son looking at his dad play with me and a few others, and you know what? That just warms my heart. His father is amazing, explaining everything to him with every detail, never raging, never getting upset that he doesn't understand, answers every question he has, and always willing to help him. He influenced me in the best of ways, I see how this dad treats his son, and that's how I treat every single "squeaker" I meet. Why? Because I know this kid needs someone looking out for him. Explaining, teaching, guiding. I'm willing to be that guy. Be tolerant. Help a kiddo out. -Signed, an adult.

Yeah, I once thought I'd relax my squeaker rule on the last hard raid. Bailed on Oryx with a stark reminder of why I implemented the rule in the first place.

27 AntwortenBearbeitet von london: 12/15/2015 10:04:52 PMI'll admit, I am young myself (try and guess 11-14) and I am not like that. I am very calm during raids and actually will play with kids just because I'm young myself. Although it is harder to play with older people since they use the "this kid hasn't dropped his balls let's leave" thing. It's not my fault my voice is kinda high, and your voice was probably the exact same way when you were my age.
rip the dream of being able to play with older people.
Edit: if anyone is on xb1 please add me my name is my gt I'm pretty good at trials and I'm calm af. :)

1 AntwortenFalse, kids don't have the lungs to say all that in a single sentence

3 AntwortenHad to laugh at this. My 10yr old son plays this game. He does pretty well, has beaten the normal raid. Knows strats and tries to help others out. But you are spot on with the post. He means no harm, just very young, full of life and likes to interact with fellow gamers. It is tough for him to find raid groups due to this. Before anyone judges me on letting him play online. I monitor everyone he plays with. Surprisingly, all but one raid group were great players who helped him out and kept the profanity to zero. I actually messaged a few thanking them. While that one group got reported for really going overboard with vulgarity and insult. He now has a somewhat permanent raid team now. But i 100% understand the no kids policy.
