Anyone remember what happened during Prohibition? Now take a look at our current fiasco called the War on Drugs. Then add the War on Guns to the mix. Its astounding how so many idiots are historically illiterate. It is not the State's or police's responsibility to protect you. This is a liberal fallacy. It falls on YOU to protect yourself and your loved ones.

4 AntwortenIts illegal to provide: a non us citizen, a person convicted of felony, a person charged with domestic violence, a person court ordered to psych treatment, a person court ordered to rehab for anger issues, a person court ordered to rehab for addiction With a gun Doesnt matter if its a person or a store doing the providing; its still illegal ALREADY in all States of the US What MORE can you add to that which IS NOT ALREADY THERE?

So that'll never happen anything other than more background checks won't pass. And I think anything more than that shouldn't, we have an amendment in the -blam!-ing constitution that lets us bear arms. If that's no enough if they did this a bunch of people would go into an uproar and they would get it taken down fast af

Yes that's right, how often something happens is what matters since nothing is 100% preventable. Imagine that. 1 instance is not similar to hundreds of instances when measuring effectiveness. 2nd Thing. State and city gun laws may as well be non existent when a person can easily just drive to another area to purchase weapons. Travel barriers. These matter. If I outlaw toothpaste in my city, you'll just drive to the next city and bug toothpaste. If the country outlaws toothpaste, now you have to pass through customs and border checkpoints. Becomes quite a bit more difficult. For the record, I support the 2nd amendment. But for the love of Odin please stop making stupid arguments.

8 AntwortenI think we screwed up when we stopped hanging convicted murderers and rapists in the street.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Gnarly Swell: 12/3/2015 5:36:00 PMWhy do people think its so easy to buy a gun illegally? If we restrict gun sales it will be harder to for any black market criminals to get guns as well, and the price would undoubtable go up. Guns used in these mass shootings have all been legally purchased. Edit: Changed my price argument because it was wrong.

Is this a record?

1 AntwortenThe U.S. has lots of issues that all contribute to this mass shootings. We absolutely have a gun control issue. We have a government health organizations that have literally been banned from studying gun violence. We have a very wide disparity in the ideals of our political parties. We have one political party that uses inflammatory rhetoric about things that basically justifies local terrorism. We have religious groups and most of a race that would swear the country is only their's. That same religious group loves guns and doesn't get punished for using them as harshly as others. Most importantly the U.S. has Americans, in every stereotypical sense of the word.

8 AntwortenI have read the following argument countless times in many social media platforms, especially here in off topic
"If gun laws are made more strict how will innocent people be able to defend themselves when criminals will just acquire guns illegally?"
To play Devils advocate, I ask this... How many victims do we actually hear about defending themselves in gun violence crimes? And is the American public in general actually taking advantage of the right to concealed carry and weapon possession? How many times do we hear about a gun violence crime being stopped because of a citizen leveraging the right to bear arms? These are legitimate questions, I'm not saying I know the answer to them. But I have hardly read about any cases in which gun crime was prevented by armed citizens. Perhaps due to lack of media profiling? Or perhaps due to the fact defense with weapons happens very rarely?

29 AntwortenBearbeitet von Pro: 12/3/2015 5:09:11 PM
Here we go again. You guys need some proper gun control.
The shooting took place in a gun free zone. Literally the last place a gun should have been. But you know what? People that intend to commit murder don't give a FUC K about your "no guns allowed" sign. In your mind, the best case scenario is to limit or stop gun sales RIGHT now. Guess what? Bad guys will still get guns, and you will only keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens. Google "crimes prevented by lawful gun holders" - how can you argue against that? How can you argue against the lives saved? If allowing private citizens access to lawful and personal guns saves ONE innocent life, it's worth it.

31 AntwortenBearbeitet von ShapelessHorr0r: 12/3/2015 12:45:12 PMControl: yes Ban: no We need shotguns, handguns, and hunting rifles to properly function as a nation. AR-15s? Nah Special ammunition? Nah. Etc Gun control isn't the whole solution though. Kids will still be mentally unstable. The media will continue to promote this stuff as a "blast of glory". Not to mention our culture and the cost of buy back. Good Day, Shapeless

41 AntwortenThe guns used were already illegal in California. Murder is already illegal in California. we should make them double illegal?
-
4 AntwortenWe have plenty of gun rules in America, what we need is for everyone to follow them. Every time something like this happens it's not because there are no laws against it, these people break a lot of our gun laws doing things like this
-
4 AntwortenActually the mass shooting happened in a gun control area.
-
America is dumb. Hate flood. I don't care I'm British
-
OP is an idiot.
-
13 AntwortenHa. California already bans high capacity mags and assault weapons... Didn't stop those shooters did it. You got any better ideas? You know the days of the Wild West? Everyone carried. Everyone protected them selfs.
-
4 AntwortenNo guns. Only blades. Settle it. Like men.

California has some of the tightest gun control laws in the nation, buddy. Not exactly helping your own argument.

Bearbeitet von joibasta: 12/3/2015 4:02:49 PMUS is not AU

The population of Australia is 23.13 million(As of 2013). Now from that amount there's less people to worry about unlike US (Population 326,225,739 as of 2015 at this time). Also the population distribution of AU is completely different from the US. With AU having less people means less large cities and dense places. The US has a larger population and many dense cities. Taking guns away from 23.13 million people(saying everyone owns a gun) is a lot easier than taking away 326,225,739 guns. Gun control is of course a controversial issue but the US isn't a small country with a small population that only uses a small part of its country's land Now say if we took away all US's guns (somehow) we would still have to worry about smugglers. The US has many trading partners and also many countries around it. Not every trading company has the time or money to check every cargo box. Which means there could be weapons in those boxes that we don't know about. Also there's countries that border the US too which enables smuggling to easily smuggle weapons over. AU only has a few countries and some of them are not fully developed or don't have many fire arms.* So you don't have to worry about smugglers trafficking weapons to AU. The cost of getting all the guns, borders secured, and searching cargo boxes would be a amazing fleet that would cost money, time, and lives. Do you know how many violent gangs are in the US? There are some 33,000 violent gangs and 1.4 million members are criminally active. Do you know how many people will die if we tried to take their weapons? It would be nearly impossible and US would turn into a dangerous country fighting these gangs because it wanted to do what AU did.

10 AntwortenTell me where your from so we can discuss your countries issues Only fair
-
1 AntwortenGonna be an average of more than one mass shooting per day this year in the US.
