What do you use to figure out that a person is not under 18? Do you have a copy of their birth certificate on hand? It's so stupid, I understand playing with "kids" is annoying. But the first time I beat the raid on hard i was the only one over the age of 18 and didn't complain once. Seriously grow up and just have fun with the game.

Honestly, I don't quite understand this either. So just because I'm within the "squeaker" age group, Im generally stereotyped as loud, obnoxious, self-centered and just generally annoying even though most people that I've played with would consider me an OK behaved player that is decent at the game :/ . I just don't get it.
-
I'll play with kids if they're good, but typically so called "squeakers" are extremely bad at the game. If you are a squeaker I'll give you a chance but if you suck then I'll ditch you. If you are good and follow directions and don't -blam!- up the team then I'll play with you.

1 AntwortenI still send them a inv., Im 16 then I tell them at the end "Hey yo don't you just hate raiding with younger players?!" "Ya they're all so annoying" "Im 16 hahaha" "Awkward silence"
-
I'm going to start asking for 21+. Some of these kids fresh out of high school are dipshits
-
You know exactly why people say this, you've been in the group of 13 year old boys screaming at each other. Shut up, Meg.

Shut up meg

I'm 16 and just be quiet, say appropriate call outs, and respond to questions

Obviously there is no way to check someone. I would like to offer another reason besides them being annoying not to have them in the group. Sometimes I like to joke around, cuss, and make crude comments in group if it doesn't bother anyone else. I feel uncomfortable doing so around children. If I find it entertaining, why should I have to put myself in a situation where I will have to censor myself?

1 AntwortenIn the rare cases I use lfg to fill missing clan members I advertise for mature players only. They can be 14 just as long as their mature. You know what I'm talking about. That kid that overreacts to every time he gets shot at and yells at the top of his lungs making his mic sound like a -blam!- ton of static. I get that it's harder to control yourself at that age and I was probably the same way. But we didn't have these types of games then and casual gaming is now mixed between the ages. All I'm saying is if you're young just do your best not to be overly excitable and loud. No one will have a problem with you.

It's up to the individual who he/she raids with, I don't see the big deal.

There is one word for people who do this. Smart

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von STS27: 12/3/2015 9:02:30 PMThe easiest way to tell is when they get on the mic. For the most part they are annoying, loud, selfish and have to know-it-all and love to tell you their accomplishments and brag about everything. They try to be funny in really bad taste and aren't at all. Need to be the center of attention. Not all kids, but most are like this. Oh I could go on for days describing all the ways kids are bad to play with. Now, if you're a kid of course you would rather play with them because they are your peers. When you're an adult, you don't want all that annoying drama and B.S. just a cool group of laid back people you can hang with and dominate the game together. People who will listen to constructive criticism and won't judge you if you don't know any particular strategy or even suck at the game. People willing to help those who need it. This is the Destiny experience I have and it's great. I'm grateful I joined the clan that I did. No kids, because 8 out of 10 of you aren't good gaming partners.

If a 14 year old isn't a squeaker and doesn't talk a lot then they could probably pass even if they said no kids
-
4 AntwortenUsually ppl under 18 are annoying as -blam!-

14 AntwortenI'm going to start a post titled Why do kids keep getting bent out of shape that us older gamers don't want to play with children? Seriously, get over it kid, play with your own agegroup
-
I have fun with the game when I don't have annoying incapable squeakers in my party, thanks.
-
I'm 14 and never annoyed someone older than while playing the game. I have a theory, some kids might just need to chill a little bit when playing with adults. There is a reason where there are these 'agist' disputes.

3 AntwortenI don't like people cursing in front of/at my kids and I don't do that to other people's kids either. That simple. I also don't play your terrible game anymore as it now only caters to children.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von deathblow1030: 12/4/2015 1:26:46 PMMost adults are chilled and don't rage about getting killed. They also don't rage endlessly for missing a jump and plummeting to their death. They are the ones being as quite as possible because their kids are sleeping or they don't want to piss off their significant other. They are rarely on and if they are it's only for a couple of hours. Common sense players. Teens are in the middle, you have the ones who are chill and play just for laughs. Or the ones who stress about the game as if their life depended on it. They are mature when required to be and complete trolls when they are not in check. Half the player base have got their priorities down and the other half argue about who has a better KD while also comparing who has a longer barrel on their gun. Measuring stick anyone? Nonsense players. Kids generally yell through the mic because they just died and blame the entire team. Has an excuse for everything. Whines about the most irrelevant things. Being chill is not in their DNA because dropping the f-bomb is the cool thing to do. They are on all the time and have no idea why other players are ignoring their "Play Destiny!" request. They get the Wrath of Parents when you overhear their parents telling them to pipe down or else. Followed by "a player has left the fireteam". Senseless players. Its pretty easy to figure out who I rather have on my fireteam. Anyone who is chill is good with me. Keep it fun. I hope you find a decent fireteam that respects you not because of age but because you just want to play Destiny like everyone else. If you're on PS3 then add me. Cheers!

2 Antwortenwhen im gaming its to relax and have fun. To me having fun usually includes cutting up with adult jokes and convos during the course of whatever activity we are doing. when im around my lil girl or other kids im "on guard" so to speak ,watching what i say and how i say it. idk about you guys but i feel like ass when we are in the middle of an adult topic and i realize there is a kid present.
