So i commented in this post recently [url]https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/176297164/0/0/1[/url] and i received an overwhelming amount of replies. I'd like to get this out to more people than just those on that one post, so here is my argument for the sunbreaker.
The sunbreaker is a 100% super-focused class, meaning that the 6 bonus perks in every subclass meant to enhance gameplay are ALL super-focused. the hammers take skill to use at long range due to the arc and travel speed of the hammers. they are not always a one hit kill, many times, it will only partially damage an enemy if the hammer is a little off. everyone's data on time varies, and people tend to use the most extreme case for the hammer of sol lasting longer than it typically does. it can only achieve such a high time of being active if the player uses the perk where standing in a sunspot will increase duration AND the perk to increase duration. This means not using the cauterize perk to regen after kills with the hammers. people have discovered NUMEROUS ways to counter the super, making it not the tank that people seem to try to make it.
Let's talk about other supers, since that has been a large argument. stormtrance, while activeley being used as a hammer of sol would be, lasts the LONGEST out of every super. Bladedancers have been over-nerfed (thanks to the same people whining about sunbreaker), however, they have the "super op" perk that sunbreakers do to regen health AND a perk to grant more super energy on kills. radiance is primarily used for self-rez and has no real offensive bonus in pvp, so we can leave that out. golden gun, you get 3-4 shots, which is less than your 7 hammers if you are constantly throwing them, but golden gun is 100% accurate, is not impacted by range, and has perks to not only enhance the super, but gameplay while NOT USING THE SUPER. the sunbreaker has ZERO perks to enhance out of super gameplay, unlike EVERY other class in the game. The nightstalker (for pvp) is pretty much an enhanced golden gun, so you can go back to golden gun for that argument. Nova Bomb and Fist of Havoc are not duration-based supers, so we can leave those out entirely. Ward of Dawn is not an offensive super, so that too can be left out. This covers EVERY other super in the game
Just keep in mind that the entire subclass is focused on the super, so there is not gameplay value outside of that such as shadestep, shouldercharge, increase grenade duration hunter wall-hacks, or chain lightning on grenade damage. The subclass SHOULD have a more powerful super than any other class, because the nature of the subclass is 100% for the super.
arc blade was over-nerfed thanks to people whining about it in year one, the same will happen to Titans' only good subclass for pvp if this continues...
Addition:
Please take into account the other parts of the subclass. Every subclass a set of 6 perks to enhance gameplay. All of these are for the super in the sunbreaker class. I've said this before, but it is many times glossed over.

1 AntwortenIt's a super focused class, sure. But that won't justify the fact that it's op. They also have some of the best pvp grenades in the game too. They don't need perks to buff their nades or give their melee a burn either. It's all built-in. Other classes need perks to achieve the same neutral game that sunbreakers get out of the box. Last time I saw the numbers, sunbreakers were 0,2 kd above all other classes. That's a big kd increase from just a class. Considering that the other classes, even the new ones, were tied with the old ones. Sunbreakers can be super focused, I don't care. What I care about is the fact that they break the delicate balance we're trying to achieve. Sunbreaker is a better class than the others. There is no going around that. It needs to be toned down to restore balance.

Keep in mind that encore for blade dancer is the worst perk from that part of the tree, because it adds like one second, and it's terrible.

7 AntwortenFor me this comes down to real world use of the supers. In 6s stormcaller and hammers rule because they clear a ton of people and have a long duration. With bladedancer and golden gun behind them. The only difference being stormcaller won't regen health, has a shorter range and less armour. Also if you want the added duration you need to spec for it and have melee and nade energy up. So Titan is king of 6s with stormcaller 2nd. But no one cares about 6s. 3s is strategy and trials. On the anomaly map hammers was straight up broken. Honestly almost everything we sent our Titan in on heavy unless they counter titaned we won. That's the reality of it. Also hammers is the only super you really have to run from if Solo. Yeah we've all solo'd a hammer Titan once or twice but honestly My success rate is way higher on every other duration super (mainly idiot self Rez lol) On the neutral game. Titans aren't as strong as the others no class is. But the health regen spreads across all ability kills, the nades are fine/good you have a 1 shot melee and mobility is good. Now just look at the playerbase. Striker and defender actually have a pretty strong neutral game. Defender neutral with no back up plans is immense. How many striker and defenders to you see? Those Titans must feel the super more than compensates for the neutral or they wouldn't run sunbreaker

Look, all I know is I'm tired of seeing Titan a with a full Trials loadout and 10 kill streaks with their hammer. And as for neutral class game.. doesn't matter. Hardscoping seems to keep their KD up anyway, either that or Conspiracy Theory-D. Fusion grenades for that HoS effect before the super is even up? CHECK. Their subclass barely touches [i]them[/i] because their ridiculous supers hand them this game on a platter lol.

Armor should be reduced to 50%. High impact snipers should one shot to the head. Personally, I think this is the biggest complaint.

1 AntwortenHoS: The rest of the subclass is actually really str my. The entire far right tree is good without the super (simmering flames requires a charged super, but it doesn't matter how good this super is to have an effect, cauterize works for grenades and melee'd, and the third one gives you an overshield in sunspots which can be made with grenades and melee). The melee is very strong, either with a stoke the forge and cauterize combo or with combustion which I have heard can one shot. Incendiary and fusion grenades are good grenades, and fusion is especially good, and fleet fire as well is a good speed and reload speed boost that triggers in grenades and melee and can again synergies with stoke the forge. The only skills that require the super (outside of the actual super tree) are flame seeker and explosive pyre. Also, HoS has a very forgiving blast radius which I have found super easy to use if you're using forge master (which lets face it everyone is). I have found it to be super easy to aim even at range thanks to the blast radius as well. It can one shot most supers and is very high damaging, and can tank a golden gun shot with max armor (which it should not be able to do). Other supers: Hungering blade is just cauterize, except t doesn't work with grenades, and it's a necessity because [b]you have to get close.[/b] If you get close to enemies they will get s lot of damage on you, so it needs the damage reduction and healing it has, whereas HoS has a ton of range. The gunslinger was regarded as op for all of year 1, and still is by some, but it has garbage non-super perks outside of the grenades (far worse than sunbreaker for pvp), and doesn't even have any good super buffs like cauterize, and is undeniably inferior to hammer of sol and far easier to counter (although it is a very good super). Really all of your arguments are invalid. I'm not salty about it but it's just so blatantly obvious that the Sunbreaker is overpowered I don't understand why some people won't accept that.

I'm cool with sunbreakers. I understand its pros and cons. But I do not like how I can't one shot headshot them with a high impact sniper eg; 1000 yard or eirene, only black spindle...which is annoying

I can go an entire game of crucible not use my super and still be on top because sun breaker has good everything its just trash players that suck with it

3 AntwortenSunbreaker= 5-7 Nova Bombs (1 hammer is actually a lot better then a nova bomb) 5-7 fists of havoc ( of course again, a lot better then FoH) Golden gun is complete crap compared to HoS, i hit so many cross map hammers it is ridiculous. HoS is also 10x better then arc blade.. yea u get my point. HoS needs to get nerfed, i play it as much as i can now.. But anyone trying to defend HoS, are only afraid of loosing their OP super. They know it is insanely OP.
