Trump is demanding that CNN pay him $5 million dollars to attend the next Republican debate rally, money that he says he will donate to Wounded Warriors.
Why? Because he feels that he is responsible for their high ratings. I'm not making this up: http://onpolitics.usatoday.com/2015/11/30/trump-mulls-debate-boycott-unless-cnn-donates-5m/. If you read further, you'll see how egotistical he is, like as if putting his name on every building he owns wasn't enough.

Bearbeitet von The Fallen Zyzz: 12/3/2015 1:23:06 AMTrump does generate a lot of views, though. That's one of the benefits of being a meme lord. The Teflon Don cannot be stopped.

Amazing, I can't get enough. Trump can't be stumped

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von The Cellar Door: 12/2/2015 5:01:33 PMSeems like a smart move IMO. He's a business man, CNN is quite obviously getting more business by plastering his face on half their reports. If a building that he didn't own hoisted up a big sign that said "Trump" for business, who's in the wrong here? Trump for demanding they take it down because they're using his name which is representative of his business ventures, policies, and values? Or the business for doing whatever they want under the pseudo-domain of Trump? I don't support Trump as a president, but when your dislike of him becomes so over-bearing you perceiving everything he does in a hateful manner just because you hate him regardless of the action, you're not being pragmatic. It's not a statement of egotism to say how much CNN has shown Trump, quoted Trump, and talked about Trump on television and other media. Their coverage has been constant, and the ratings for the last debate soared. For a business man who has practically made a brand out of his name, it's really not that far of a stretch to ask what he's asking. He's going to a debate, on their network. He's doing something for them, yes for his campaign, but also for CNN, and considering the ratings and media coverage of the last debate, he's just only candidate who is saying, "hey, why are you guys getting all the money, for something that is for the American people, not yourselves?" He doesn't need to money himself, so I don't see why he wouldn't donate it lol.

Yes? That seems reasonable, they make money from advertising, they charge more for it during higher ratings, why should he not get paid? Good on him for wanting to donate it to a good cause, the U.S. Government treats their wounded soldiers like shit, like most countries unfortunately, good to see someone care enough to give them something, he could just pocket the cash.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von OurWildebeest: 12/2/2015 4:55:21 PMHe is certainly a big part of their ratings. Overall, what you are seeing is Trump expose the media for the powerless and biased institution it is. For many years, journalists claimed objectivity while 90%+ voted for one party. Even if they wanted to be objective and sincerely thought they were, the bias came through in enthusiastic mockery for ideas much different from their own, and silence about wacky leftist ideas or statements. If you wanted to be presented as a reasonable person, you could either be liberal, or you could be moderate. The other side complained, but since they were complaining about people who had a much bigger audience, they were depicted as paranoid. With the rise of the Internet and alternative media, the traditional "unbiased but really a Democrat" media viewpoint has been exposed, and as a result, the media's power to ridicule people into fitting their views in a moderate to liberal spectrum is gone. Trump is just making this very obvious by not caring what the media says and suffering no consequences for not caring, and the media is melting down as a result. Expect to see many/most Republicans blow off traditional media in the future, vs apologizing and asking forgiveness for being conservative. (I am not a Trump supporter, for the record, though I don't dislike him either)

Whoever wants to help me build a fallout shelter and a collection of bullet-proof armor suits say "Aye!"; whoever does is guaranteed living quarters and adequate food and supplies in the shelter, but it has to become larger depending on how many people help. He wants a small loan of a million dollars

You can't stump the trump

He's not wrong. CNN has been so focused on trump and his shenanigans.
-
2 AntwortenLooks like he needs a small loan of 5 million dollars

As much as I don't care for Trump, he's right. You think they would get those kind of ratings with Jeb and Rubio? Not a chance. Ratings records were shattered this year because of him. Love him or hate him, people watch.

1 AntwortenI wouldn't pay attention to American politics if trump wasn't there.
-
2 AntwortenOr, even better, Trump could just donate $5 million to Wounded Warriors himself. You know, real donation, as opposed to blatant extortion.

1 AntwortenTrump for president

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheDubAddict: 12/2/2015 2:30:38 PMI saw this on the news yesterday and all I was thinking was don't give him a penny, just donate directly to the place and don't let him show up.

9 AntwortenYou think he really needs 5 million?? A billionaire needs 5 million dollars???? CNN is also a company with tons of money. I'd rather have a president who takes that 5 million and gives it back to people then the president we have now who takes trillions and throws it in a toilet. Think about that.....
