22 AntwortenPretty sure Destiny ToS restricts the use of any third party software. The ps4 itself has USB ports to support mouse and keyboards, but they don't work on destiny without third party support to bypass destiny's own restrictions placed on their use. So you tell me why Destiny would block keyboard and mouse use when the game system itself allows them? Don't lie to yourself and defend your cheating... That's just sad lol. I used Titan One to continuously input a set pattern of commands into my controller so I could level characters completely AFK in crucible, but I guess since I wasn't banned and it let me do it that wasn't cheating either... by your logic at least

But yeah, that shit isn't cheating any more than the Xbox Elite controller with its paddles is cheating. People who think it is cheating are just looking for excuses to explain why they suck at games themselves.

6 AntwortenIt definitly is not cheating However it really feels unfair. Same applies to modified controllers. In destiny its not that much of a thing, however for other games on consoles such as battlefield or starwars it really gives you a huge advantage over controller users. Much better and easier aim and much more consistant and accurate shooting when using tap fire weapons. But then again as you stated yes its not cheating and eventhough it significantly helps, it cant make someone a good player if he himself isnt. To add a thing i used to play CS 1.6 on pc and i used to be really good. Now when playing fps games on ps4 my aim is ridiculously not at all even close to how good it is on pc, yes even in destiny with the crazy aim assist i still have a suckish aim

12 AntwortenXim4 doesn't give an advantage besides a steady aim with your weapons but that same thing can be achieved using a longer thumb stick. People who originally played FPS on PC will fine it weird to hold a controller. Xim4 allows them to play comfortably. I have no problems with people using xim4 or anything along the lines of a customized controller. If your comfortable with it then so be it. If there is no tampering with the game or console themselves. The advantage is the player not the method of what type of controller they use.

As an ex pc gamer I know a mouse is clearly an advantage over a controller for precision shooting. I don't think it's cheating tho. Just better. Also from watching plent6 of streams it's fairly easy to see many of the streamers use mouse. No one bothered them.

I like mouse and keyboard more, cus I play from my pc monitor and sit at the desk. It is more comfortable. I dont get such a big advantage in Destiny, it is a little laggy, but in cod and battlefront it is amazing. Maybe due to 60 vs 30 fps. I also bought the SONY LICENSED HORI TAC4 mouse and keyboard. Will receive it in couple of weeks when it is released here. The reviews say it is even more awesome than xim4.

1 AntwortenFair enough. But for every guy that says it doesn't give an advantage there are 10 who says it does. although I could see a PC gamer who has spent years playing fps on PC wanting to use what's familiar to him.

13 AntwortenWish I could find the article where Sony said they were working on attempting to patch outside (non Playstation authorized) devices, like the xim4. It was around the same time they announced their own device was in the works but to a more limited extent. I have a xim4 and at least on bf4 it gave me a clear unquestionable advantage. My gun accuracy in the games I compared when I got comfortable went from 18-20% into the mid 30's. Is it cheating, I felt like it was. I stopped using it soon after.

1 AntwortenI'm a die hard controller guy. Even when I play games on PC I still use a controller. It comes down to personal preference. Some write with pencils while others, pens. Both produce congruent results while remaining dissimilar architecturally.

I was thinking of transitioning to Keyboard and mouse. My hands get all sweaty and hurt after all those long sessions. Funny, Matim0, a battlefield youtuber did a challenge using a Xbox controller on PC. And he is horrible with a controller lol. But it wasn't as bad as everyone including himself thought it would be. He actually did surprisingly good with a controller on PC, tells you things
