I have been researching lately that old gen players on their consoles (including PS3) have not been getting the benefits of a average new gen player in destiny. I play on old Xbox 360 and I love Destiny do not get me wrong, however I am disappointed with Bungie. I play Destiny pretty averagely and know the mechanics, but I notice that new gen players are getting extra benefits in Destiny that us old gen players cannot get all because they spent 400$ worth of what, better graphics? That is stupid how I sit and enjoy my day of playing Destiny knowing that I spent an average of 140+ dollars on a game that does not give you what you have payed for. I guess what I am trying to say is the old gen should not be pushed away from the goodies just because they are not new and improved.

It's like going from VHS to DVD. It's outdated and old.
-
Dunno, better graphics and future proofing? More games and maximising your trade in value?
-
You old gens are ruining the high potential every game has. Drop that shit already.
-
You lose net buffers. Need I say more? No arguments to be had really.

4 AntwortenThere is nothing different about destiny on the Bone. I'm tired of teenagers claiming "graphics this, processors that, last gen this" A good game is a good game. A bad game is a bad game. Destiny blames last gen, when games like Just Cause 2 load just fine on those systems. You get all these kids that think expensive = good
-
Do you ever wonder why they don't make vhs tapes anymore? Or cassette tapes? Catch up with the times man. If you want to continue playing the newest content and games you will have to continue buying the newest console. Your trying to watch dvds on a tape player

It doesn't matter if bungie even wanted to keep old gen consoles. The consoles respective dev/manufacturers are going to stop supporting the online capabilities eventually. That's what they did with ps2/original xbox (correct me if I'm wrong, haven't played them in 7 years.) If you want your gaming experience to expand then follow the croud of eager young minds of tomorrow.

At this point you are incorrect in calling ps4/Xbone "new gen" They are "current gen" 360 is "last gen" but I guess "old gen" is acceptable. Having said that play on whatever the -blam!- you want but if you stick with last gen you won't be playing new games.
-
Idk about the Microsoft systems, but for ps4, the upgrade gets you a better running system overall. Better graphical power, OS runs smooth/faster. The "Share" button is simple yet wow. Connectivity with other users and content is very much more fluid. One would think that the XBone would be similar in most if not all respects (minus the "Share" button)

Get a ps4

Halo 5, nuff said

Don't be poor.

Are you gaming on a flat screen or a box TV from 2003 that doesn't support hdmi.

Retrocompability program (hope I write it right)
-
Destiny and most games have too much content to be on last gen. They are also going to stop supporting Xbox within two years.
-
old gen should be pushed away, it's how it's always been as long as I've been a gamer. Destiny has achieved the most singular experience across generations that I've seen, and as such I think they've done last gen players a favor
-
They're going to get phased out eventually. It's been like 4 (correct me if I'm wrong) years since the new consoles came out and game developers are eating held back by the old consoles' inadequacies. Just accept fate and buy the new gen
-
Because they will eventually stop supporting last gen. It's like the Windows XP of consoles. It's good, but its time to upgrade.

Graphics, more players (easy to find groups) menu loads 10x faster

4 AntwortenOld Gen to new gen: Old gen limitations to content, reduced graphic and support, restriction on multiple streaming and movie sharing. New gen- full on game play, better graphics, updated support on all recent games. More streaming and movie sharing options New gen+ pc: windows 10 can connect better and has more option. Cortana can be customized with voice codex and macros to xbox one such as record that or launch xbox. You can stream from Xbox one to pc and take your pc any where even the bathroom and play. Setting up VPN allows you to play from home to on the road. Increased sound quality for headsets if you can afford. So much more options when it comes to new gen

The new interface on the xbone is amazing.

2 AntwortenIf Black Ops 3 on Ps3/360 being forced to remove the Campaign just to fit the Multiplayer isnt enough of an indication that Upgrading is worth it then I am not sure what else to tell you. Back when you had systems like the Genesis and Super Nintendo, games made for each had to either remove or outright change how those games worked. Batman Returns on the Genesis lacked a few levels and even had to dumb down the boss fights a tad to make it work. On the Super Nintendo the whole game was there with that now defunct Mode 7. Good times.

The 360 is a decade old and is being left behind. Good lord, get with the times.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von PumpMelon: 11/29/2015 1:01:13 AMUpgrade and I'll play with you. Just got an Xbox one yesterday so I will list. Reasons - WAY better graphics, my character looked a lot more colorful and better in general on the One - More social, easier to send messages, more diverse and easier to use - You can record gameplay and send it to people to show off your skill -Xbox 360 will soon not be supported, and also One has a lot more people playing -It has backward compatibility <--- -Customizable -The console itself is a lot more sleek, and looks like a slick box Just some reasons. GT is PumpMelon on the One

3 AntwortenI'm on 360 too and I'm not paying $300-$350 just for a new system so I can play the same game i already do, start over, and become a noob again

Your stuff is saved if you change consoles
