Can someone explain to me why multiple players do not understand the concept of zone control? I'm not talking about the regular control playlist. I mean the actual mode Zone control. Where u score points by holding and only holding zones. Why is it when we are in control on 2 zones. Players constantly feel the need to get kills/charge around the map aimlessly rather than defend the zones? I'm not even trying to be jerk or sound like I'm a pvp master. I just honestly want to know if players don't understand it...or what?

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kage Goomba: 11/26/2015 5:48:42 AMI tried it out today.....didn't get very far. Can someone break it down? The only answer I can give for why people go charging out - you get bonus points for kills with zones controlled. Beyond that - no bloody idea why or how. - In truth I was trying to figure out the rules but its not so obvious. Want a good one? Kills in Rift are almost meaningless...note I said almost. :) You get more for trying to run the ball than you do for getting kills..unless you happen to kill the spark holder or your purely defending.

2 AntwortenWe were 700 points up last night and lost. I watched players on my team go flying past held zones. Iwas lucky if I had one team-mate capping zones with me and don't get me started on defending them. No idea what they're doing

4 AntwortenTwo kinds of players. 1. You have scrubs who simply don't understand the basic point of the game. They run around and kill stuff, but don't grasp the point of holding and defending territory (control points). These players tend not to be very good. 2. You have GOOD players who are just SELFISH. Whenever you are assaulting, or trying to hold a control point, you are VULNERABLE. That is when you have the least amount of control over when---and how--- you get into a firefight. So you are most likely to die at then, than at any other point In the game. So the sad fact is that you have a number of good players who are just too concerned about their personal stats to be a team player. So they run around and play the game like its Rumble....call themselves "Slayers"....and leave the real fighting-and-dying to other players. TL:DR. They're padding their stats at the expense of the rest of the team.

Control-capture bases. Each base will give you a few points every fee seconds as well as giving you a bonus to points for kills based on how many zones you control. More zones, more bonus points. Zone Control-Capture bases. Each base will give you a few points every few seconds. Killing enemies does not give you points at all. In both games, the strategy is very simple. Capture two zones, preferably two that are closest together. In symmetrical maps, always capture B unless the enemy has fortified it and is using it to eat kills. Hold both zones. 3 people should be at each of the two zone, but not in the circles once they've been captured. In fact, you should never have 3 people standing in a circle. One super will wipe that zone and give it to the enemy team. Hold the zones until the game ends. If you do this in Zone Control, you will always win every single time. If you do this in Control, the only way you'll lose is if the enemy team absolutely slaughters everyone on your team (this won't happen if you don't wander around). Unfortunately, Control has become a Gamemode where snipers have gone to pad their K/D stats by shooting unmoving targets. Stay moving while you capture each zone. If you're sniping and your team only has one zone, try to capture another zone first so your kills will help more.

I just won a match cause the other team just wanted to get kills it's laughable like talking candy from a baby

I push into the enemy once we have two and basically hold off the enemy by tossing grenades landing any snipe i can get etc. defending zones isnt always the best because you are a sitting duck and have absolutely 0 element of surprise. For those scrubs who go into zone control and rush in for kills i suggest playing mayhem or control because you are not helping your team. unless your a pvp god :)

Zone control Points from zones Control clash with multiplier for holding zones

5 AntwortenInstead of bla-bla-bla-why everybody stupid-bla-bla, just tell people how to play and describe the rules. Some of them would be very grateful.
-
Why do you ask questions to which you already know the answers to? ;)
-
90% of players do not understand regular control so im not surprised.
-
1 AntwortenBecause most players in crucible treat every mode like it's clash.... That is why this last IB was perfect for it.
-
Because ppl are stupid. Next question?
-
Well part of it is that almost every single crucible bounty/test weapon progress requires kills, regardless of winning the game.
-
Because some people just wanna -blam!- around or they are jackasses or they don't comprehend.
-
They must be looking for my weasels
-
I prefer to call it back capping or ghosting. Neutralize or capture a point to force 2-3 people to come looking for me, when I've gone elsewhere to repeat the process. If my teammates knew how to hold a point other than leaving me alone to fend off a whole team, I would willingly sit on defense duty...until then, I'll tap the living frak out of all non-friendly zones.

1 AntwortenHas the same experience also Hereafter was great because you could blind everyone on a zone then have a shotgun rusher go destroy
-
I had a great couple of games because of teammates like yours apparently. Lol, some people have no idea how to capture zones...
-
Point and shoot what else is there to get?

Bearbeitet von Revengeance: 11/26/2015 1:25:12 AMRift is worst these days, no ones capturing it instead theyre waiting "someone" to capture it to get the kill. I always ended up getting 5-8 captures per game and a lost. Edit: for most of the players here: Crucible = KILL Thats all that matters.

People only play pvp for the purpose of pvp not objectives. This exists in every game
