Title says it all, in your opinion what's the most influential game to be released in the last 10 years.
I'll have to think on this one and edit in my own later on.

Influential? The grand theft auto series no doubt

Surely it's grand theft auto.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, because it showed everybody else what not to do, and then the most hyped triple A of 2014 did it and succeeded anyway lmao

1 AntwortenThe last Bioshock. Great story. If you haven't played it I would recommend Wikipedia-ing the story if you don't plan on playing it. :)

Halo or the first Modern Warfare

1 AntwortenRed dead redemption

It's all because of HALO..... recycled FPS multi-player that's apparently the main reason anyone gets shooters anymore, the entire DLC disease , ok campaigns and hype that none of them deserve anymore... it's all because of HALO.

For gaming as a whole? I'd have to say League of Legends. The amount of publicity and revolutionizing it's brought to gaming is insane.

1 AntwortenLeague of legends. Everybody is obsessed with it. Myself, I hate it.

Wii Sports Call of Duty 4 Gears of War DOTA 2 and League of Legends Street Fight IV Assassin's Creed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Those are just some for various reasons. Though I think if we had to narrow it down to one I'd say COD4.

Oblivion.

6 AntwortenTitanfall. Now before you all yell at me for saying titanfall is probably a good game, it is, but not the best. But after Titanfall's release it has moved FOS games in a new direction, for better or for worse. Notice how so many games are now utilizing some form of the advanced movement system recently? List of games using an advanced movement system from a little before Titanfall's release, and after it's release that I can think of: Cod AW COD BO3 Halo 5 Destiny Titanfall I have not played enough games to list them all, but notice how these are all triple A games made from big companies. Now it may just be a short era and be gimmicky and could wear off, but you have to admit that it's something that's becoming more and more popular among games to introduce faster gameplay like with those games I listed. Sure we've got games that don't fit in with the trend, and right now it is still a pretty small trend, but it will get bigger. Is it not safe to assume that the next Battlefield game could use some form of this new movement type? I would not be surprised if it did.

People in this thread have seen the title and chosen to replace the word "influential" with "best"
