You forgot to include:
- using current veteran destiny gamers as sales people for the game
And
- making the content unobtainable for the majority of the playerbase

Lmao you're adorable. You're gonna be fierce when you grow up. If you think it's a problem that they added something they didn't have to in order to reward those of us that bring our friends on board, you're probably beyond helping. I don't even have to address that you consider it making us "salesman" because that's asinine. But I'll roll with it for a second to accentuate one point here. There's a difference between allowing us to be salesman and forcing. They aren't forcing they're just incentivizing. You're welcome

They literally want you to incentivize your friends into buying this game so you can get some nice looking items (same as getting commission), if that's not being a salesperson then what is it?

Well I have been playing fallout and battlefront since the release of fallout, only playing destiny 2 times to help clan members with raids. So come again with the balls deep. Instead, maybe I just recognize what battles are actually worth fighting. Crazy. You get a -blam!-ing emote if a friend joins. I mean holy shit the balls of this company. The greed and lack of ethics to offer a few cosmetics and a sword (identical to what everyone already has) of all things as a reward to someone for doing what people have been doing all along, which is trying to play a social shooter with other people. I mean holy shit someone must take a proverbial dick in the ass from bungie if they aren't outraged and taking to the goddamn streets because bungie added a non-mandatory nice thing for people who build the player base.

You're missing the point, it's the fact many veteran players can't get these items with the way the quest is designed. Bungie don't do enough to show loyal players (who have stuck with the game through bullshit nerfs etc. since day 1) that they're appreciated. That's the real issue. Why can't they design the quest in a way which ALSO offers these rewards without having to refer a friend in to buying ttk?
