I literally saw one Stormcaller destroy an entire team in Iron Banner, but every time a Sunbreaker tries that he gets killed by focused fire. Not to mention Stormcaller has the longest lasting super in the game right now.
Edit: I'm not saying that either are OP, what I mean is that people are targeting Titans when Warlocks have a very powerful, and arguably, OP super.
Edit 2: I keep seeing people saying I want Bungie to nerf it, no, I do not, I was just bringing up the fact that everyone ignores the super when it can wipe an entire team out singlehandedly and target Sunbreaker. I think in fact Bungie should not be messing with the game at all anymore, I think they finally have achieved balance with the 2,0 update but that's just my opinion.
Edit 3: I guess some people can't read edits for some reason, the title is me mocking the people calling Sunbreaker OP to demonstrate my point. And for the last time, I am not, I repeat, not asking for any kind of nerf.

Agreed. Stormcallers are very powerful, and it is more difficult to run away from them than Sunbreakers. Both supers feel very strong and are fun to use and require great tactics to counter. I think they should be left alone. All three new subclasses seemed balanced to me. Honestly the main changes I would want are buffs to Strikers and Defenders to make those classes more viable as well.

1 AntwortenBecause the perk that extends Stormcaller has the caveat you must have full melee and grenade ability. The perk extending Hammer of Sol has no such downside and also includes extra blast radius. Stormcaller also can't heal on kill. So if enemies decide to split up so your lightning can't jump between them all, you're screwed. A Sunbreaker can just turn and chuck hammers while healing for every kill, so enemies spreading isn't a big deal. Sunbreakers are also powerful on nearly every map. Stormcallers become increasingly less powerful as the map size increases. That Fallen ship is a Stormcallers wet dream, while Bastion is a nightmare you wish you could wake up from. A Sunbreaker? Just chuck that hammer across the map and get a triple somehow. As for your one instance of a Sunbreaker failing to live up to Sunbreaker standards? He was probably terribad. Fact: Sunbreakers get nothing less than a 50 kill streak and three Mark of the Unbroken every super activation. Super Fact: six Sunbreakers activating at the same time generates 1,000 megatons of force and immediately deletes your opponents Gaurdians and the Destiny application from their consoles permanently resulting in an instant win and year 7 Gjallarhorns. #SunbreakerOPMasterRace

Because the warlock was smart to us his SHORT TO MEDIUM RANGE attacks whereas the titan would have probably gone in guns blazing with his ALL RANGE S ATTACKS. Overall, it is completely dependent on the playing style of the player. The sunbreaker got killed by the team focusing on him; therefore, he was probably in an open space near the enemy spawn. You never said the stormcaller was attacked by their entire team at once.
-
I have tried every method of killing a sunbreaker, cannot do it by myself. I can kill any other super on my own
-
I've easily killed more stormcallers than sunbreaker and not to mention that stormcaller is easily killed by a bladedancer and sunbreaker isnt
-
2 AntwortenQuiet young one, Warlocks have always been kind to titans so we'll leave them alone.

Sunbreaker lasts 26 seconds Stormcaller lasts 23 seconds Both withouth attacking, just standing still

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von JHarv: 11/25/2015 9:01:03 PMToday I popped stormtrance. It was fun. Until I ran into a sunbreaker bunny hopping around, flinging hammers. I run max armor, with arc armor, and still got 1 shot from off in the distance. Neat. I also get shut down every now and again from a shotgun melee, or sniper headshot. Can't say the same when I play my Sunbreaker! Hammer of skill is a joke and will be nerfed. I play pvp with all 3, and when I use hammer I just feel bad. Especially in Rift. Talk about guaranteeing a spark grab and cap. It's a free escort to the enemy rift and there's really nothing they can do unless theyre sitting on supers and can activate it before I nuke them.

"I'm not saying that it's overpowered and needs a nerf, I'm just saying that it's OP"- the original poster

3 AntwortenYou see, we stormcallers dont get health regen on every kill and our armor is still low that you can kill us with shotgun and melee
-
1 AntwortenStormcaller is a better Arcblade while HOS is a better Golden Gun. I say reduce the damage resistance on HoS by 5% and reduce the length of time Stormtrance lasts with trancendence. Buff arcblade and Golden Gun by increasing player agility and arcblade attack speed during super.
-
They're both op. Its just sunbreaker is more op so more used so more complained about
-
You might have an argument if stormcaller has regen on kill. But it doesn't, so...

Superior range and health regen.
-
Just stop it

It's a glass canon. Activating it goes two ways: 1. You wreck shit 2. You get your shit wrecked All stormcallers try to do the first one more often. It's been long enough we've learned how to most effectively use it.
-
Lmfao it's easy af to shut down a Stormcaller. In fact, I shut them down more often than I am killed by them. But Sunbreakers? It's like the stars have to align to kill a -blam!-ing Sunbreaker. You need friendlies around you, or get lucky enough to dodge all their hammers, or have an idiot on that pops it while you're looking at them in shotgun range.

Bearbeitet von ungawd: 11/26/2015 10:44:08 AMSure. I've done it. With transcendence and gear that gives me more armor using an arc subclass. It's the gear people, not just the sub classes. But one good shot to the face with a shotty and they're down. Two if they have gear like mine.
-
Stormcallers last long. That's it. The chaining effect isn't as good as the blast radius of hammers. Plus stormcallers armour isn't great and we can't regenerate health. Can't compare the 2
-
13 AntwortenSun breaker lasts longer than Stormcaller, kid.
-
Damnit!!! Someone finally caught on me and my warlock brethren are awesome! And our new subclass is also very effective!!! Hunters be mad again!
-
3 AntwortenBalancer was the borderline of unacceptable then Bungie made Storm Caller and Sun Breaker by building off that formula Personally I think roaming supers are the most gay thing ever and take next to zero skill to use being that they are fundamentally broken. GG is borderline in this conversation but limited shots and no armor buff put it slightly behind the other 3. *looks at Y2 Symbiote helmet* >.> *sighs*
-
Ya see the thing is.... You have no regen You have no range You have no health You can be one shotted by non spindle sniper You have a horrible time to kill You can be shut down by every other super except defender and sunsinger Verdict? It's not that great unless the situation is PERFECT
-
7 AntwortenActually Hammer of Sol lasts almost 27 seconds while Stormtrance lasts not even 24 seconds WITH transcendence on
-
stormcaller is limited range and SLOW. sunbreaker you can jump around and throw hammers at a good distance. granted i've seen both stormcaller and sunbreaker wipe out teams but with stormcaller most of the team is generally in very close proximity, plus landfall automatically will take out the nearest opponents(or with impossible machines equipped)
