The shotgun's reign of terror is coming to an end. And shotgun player's tears taste delicious.
Sorry shotgun players. No more cheap easy kills. You better get some actual skill if you want to keep using the shotgun. No more sliding into a doorway and killing someone all the way across the room. No more blinking near an enemy and blasting him for a kill. No more charging around a corner and killing an enemy in one shot at a ridiculous distance. If you want shotgun kills when the update hits you're going to have to actually get up close and personal.

It's fun running around the map blasting at people and getting blasted lol. I just can't see what's fun about 75% of each team sitting at spawn looking through a scope waiting for somebody to walk in front of it lol That's how I thought they wanted us to play, like crazy people running around having fun.

18 AntwortenThe people who were able to slide and blink around the map consistently well enough to actually be considered a serious threat to the entire match will still be able to do that post patch. because they are skilled enough to do so. I never got why people got frustrated at it. Personally I find it more annoying when someone snipes me from a corner across the map mid super. at least when a shotgun user attempts to kill a super player they put themselves at risk. But I digress, you're just another salty nobody that would rather have something over nerfed then learning to play better.

The moment shotguns are nerfed into oblivion, everyone will move on to complaining about snipers. Snipers will be next to end up in a shallow grave. Then fusion rifles again. Sidearms will be the only thing left. So please, tell me more about how walking up to someone holding a shotgun got you unfairly killed. Tell me more about how camping in a corner sniping a corridor makes you xX1337x720xNoxScopezXx. You know what'll happen? People will run around with a primary or heavy and switch to shotgun, shoot you down, teabag you because they saw your name and know you're a shotgun hater, then send you a message saying "Git Gud". Then you and all the other massive whine babies will come on here and go "WAAAAHHHHH!!! BUNGIE I'M NOT A GOD AND PEOPLE ARE BEATING ME! NERF EVERYTHING I DON'T USE AND BUFF EVERYTHING I DO USE SO I CAN BE A 1337 NO SCOPER HEADSHOTZ MAN!!!" I would love for you to actually see a shotgun in real life. They can hit you from very far away with DEADLY accuracy. Honestly, if you think shotguns should be close range only, stand 20+ feet away from a shotgun and see if you walk away alive. Bungie apparently fired everyone who understands how shotguns work because Bungie only made realistic shotguns in Halo: CE, then destroyed them in subsequent games.

They actually think you need skill to get kills in PvP on destiny funny you gotta be a moron to think you need skills in this game to get killed in PvP. And there's plenty of teen morons on here are young 20 year olds that still have no clue. Gotta hand it to the cry babies and bungee catering to those cry babies that are not skilled enough not smart enough they use the radar while hiding in the back of a map trying to snipe in a small map that is catered to shotguns close encounter situations. Congrats now they need to take away an assist on you sniper rifle users and get rid of the instant kill one shots this game will be more balanced now it won't be for sure

1 AntwortenI really think you overestimate the effect that the update will have on shotguns. Probably comes from being unable to discern scale. It's either "Beast" or "Trash" with some of you dumbshits. Most of the stat adjustments I saw aren't going to change things that much. Someone skilled with a pulse or shotgun is still going to be lethal. The usage probably will go down but only because some of you are as dumb as a bag of hammers and will think they aren't effective anymore.

What's really an issue, Snipers getting a damage drop off. Like wtf I guess I didn't like playing on the big maps anyways.

Shotguns are fine right now. The blink fix, and the removal of shot package brought them to a reasonable level. People still think shotguns are cheap because they lack the awareness to not challenge at close range. Snipers are for long range and using one doesn't automatically make you superior. It's cool to snipe now, and the sheeple are following.

[/spoiler] If anyone wants a good side arm the havoc Pigeon is really good, does something around 60 head and 40 body. And for those would don't know the stats on them aren't displayed right so you just have to try one to see if it's good.

13 AntwortenShotguns are fine. If they wanted to target Conspiracy Theory and Party Crasher, then they should have done that. Otherwise, none of them are really special any longer. The problem after this is going to be snipers. Seems like a lot more people are sniping already. The December patch will only swing everything further that way. Snipers don't have drawbacks right now. They're killing from all ranges and getting headshots under fire. It's going to be ridiculous.

The one that gets me is when you start putting bullets into a shotgun scrub and he runs through your bullets knowing he can 1 shot you before he dies. Why they don't make it so bullets slow players down is beyond me but part of the reason I don't play much PVP anymore. I can't wait for the December update.
