Edit: Guys, quick lesson: Spartans can SURVIVE extreme heat, and none of the Guardians' supers are strong enough to hurt a Spartans armor. Skill wise, a Spartan is obviously better trained.

2015 was a good year. 2016 was the best year for destiny though, prove me wrong

1 AntwortenSpartans die OHKO to a melee...
-
Yet a spartan can be killed by tiny car.

3 AntwortenI see a lot of bragging about Guardians having Ghosts as an advantage. I think a Spartan could destroy or damage a Guardians ghost relatively easily. I mean a big part of the Grimoire is finding damaged ghosts so they clearly aren't invincible.

30 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ashikon: 11/23/2015 5:42:40 PMWell then... (Insert Description Here)
As of Halo five, Spartans can now be resurrected, but for only about 15-20 seconds or death. That solves revive problem, kind of. Guardians can be revived. But stay dead without the help of a team mate. Sometimes you can come back to life back yourself (yeah I see you sunsinger).
Armor
Spartans are super soldier that can withstand horrendous damage, along with a shiel-JUST GO WATCH GAME THEORY. Guardian shields have no explanation whatsoever so I'm just gonna leave that to you.
Abilities
Supers. Lol. Armor lock. The armor lock has about the same time a super can last, so invincibility will stay for about the whole super. (Timed supers, hammer of sol, blade dancer, etc). It hard to decide wether a massive nova bomb can stop it or not, but we'll just leave that to Bungie and Game Theory. The Spartan can easily get to places faster in game, along with clamber and the boost. Blink is awesome though. And guardians have double jump which is awesome. Chiefcanthrowmissilescough.
Weapons
The Arsenal of the guardian is massive. Gjallarhorn, icebreaker, black hammer, Zhalo supercell. The Spartans have increased in weapons (reskinned, but more powerful), but gaurdians still win due to variety. Spartans have the original magnum (CE version), which was insanely overpowered in its day.
Vehicles
Vehicles. Nuff said. Would you rather ride a simple pike or a walking robot that shoots missile and machine guns along with tracking and its own shields. MAC guns too. And I think the entire UNSC Infinity vs The Last City on Earth. Who would win.
AI
No, just no.
*If I got any of this info wrong feel free to tell me. Anything else you want to add? Comment it and I'll put it up*

4 AntwortenGuardians would win because two melees and he's dead

8 AntwortenDo Spartans have any sort of vertical movement?? Blink?? Could Spartans make that big jump on shores of time??? Guardians can hold 3 weapons, Spartans can only hold 2 Guardians have supers Self res HAMMER OF SOL?!?!? Spartans don't have invisibility. Guardians killed 3 gods

3 AntwortenIf guardians can survive on mercury and Venus, I think they can survive extreme heat as well
-
5 AntwortenLook on game theory on YouTube to see how to beat a Spartan, its labeled Spartans biggest flaw or something like that and it explains how if you were to punch the back of a Spartans head its connection to the suit would disable and the Spartan would cripple.
-
I died from a grunt. I think the guardians super is strong enough.
-
2 AntwortenIf a super isn't strong enough to beat a spartan's armour. Why can a crappy assault rifle kill them. Or why could a pistol kill them in 3 shots with a full cover shield. Halo one.

Bearbeitet von Quantum Dust: 11/23/2015 12:02:40 AMLet's go this route: An army of guardians vs. the UNSCs Spartan population. Spartans have superior technology, based off of what we know/have seen. Their armor is better as we should all know, and reflexes vastly superior. Spartans are serious and mission-oriented, and will always put their tasks before themselves. They are masters of stealth and extreme pressure problem solving, and their improvisation skill is outstanding. A Spartan's strength is greater, and is nearly inexhaustible, which is a major asset. Guardians have "space magic" at their disposal. Their super abilities are very powerful, yet limited. Guardians are not trained soldiers, and therefore, are far less disciplined. Their weapons are powerful, yet are limited to on-ground warfare, having no artillery or weaponized ships. Their major asset is their ghosts. Serving as an AI with resurrecting capabilities, they are easily the ultimate companion. However, these also serve as a crutch. Guardians are reckless, knowing they can be revived in most situations, at ease. In one-on-one combat, a spartan has all the advantages, being in a 1,000 pound suit of titanium, acting as a second skin that responds to their every thought with lightning quick speed and precision. Blink/glide could be seen as advantageous, however, they can be easily countered by a spartan, due to the inferior speed and flight time. Blink is the best bet, though only warlocks and hunters, who are lacking in armor, are granted with said ability. These arguments will continue for as long as these games exist, but if you can't bring yourself to look into facts, rather than opinions, you won't realize which is truly superior.

Im getting really tired of this argument, one would win this day, and the other would win the next. There are different kinds of Spartans, just like there are different classes and subclasses of Gaurdians. Different Spartans were trained in varying types of combat, no two had the exact same training. Now before the salt flies, just know that I am a life long Halo fan. Not only did I play all the games, but also followed the lore and have read all the novels, multiple times. Destiny will never take the place of Halo in my heart, but it comes pretty damn close.

5 AntwortenFor all those talking about destroying ghosts, there's a problem in your logic. Lore-wise, Ghosts haven't been shown to be killed by anything other than the Darkness or its armies, so it's safe to assume they are bullet proof until proven otherwise (game mechanics support being bullet proof). Same goes for being hacked. Since Spartans or their AIs aren't made from Darkness, it is unlikely they could kill (let alone hack) a Ghost through normal methods. On the other hand, Ghosts are similar to real AI and only know so much from what they've learned. In a heated battle between a Guardian and Spartan, there's a good chance neither will know how to handle the other unless the battle drags on for a while or they've encountered another at some point prior. Even with lore present, it'd be a good fight to see because the results aren't axiom, and even hard evidence could end up being the opposite.

28 AntwortenIma make an argument on why a guardian would loose A guardian learns how to combat forms of darkness and is only prepared to fight against such a foe A guardian wields light a powerful weapon capable of some serious damage Depending on the guardian their supers would come into play so ima go ahead and say its a sunbreaker titan Vs A Spartan with the same training as all other spartans The guardian is equipped with any standard version of every type of destiny gun and has the Kings fall raid armour The spartan, superior in strength because of the augmentations, Has every human halo weapon and equipment from halo 3 Spartans are broken individuals who make choices on how many lives saved on their side and then some, spartans put their mission above all else A spartan has years of training apposed to the straight up thrown out into the wild with unimaginable questions If the two met and began to get in a fight, by titan nature the titan would want a close up battle and charge in head first with a shotgun and lets say hand cannon (pretend they arent nerfed) The spartans augmentations to his brain would alow the quickest thinking imaginable and he would be able to dodge the titans irrational actions making his way to the titans weak armour in which the spartan would take shots with his magnum He titan would then start to charge his super and activate the Hammer of Sol The spartan sees this and knows that its something not to be -blam!-ed with and tosses that flash ball that blinds you from halo 3 and pops his bubble shield just in case random hammers are thrown his way The super runs out and in the midst of it the titan regained his strength and as the flash clears the spartan becomes visible with a sniper The spartan is already aiming down in his bubble and the titan begins to charge at him this time shooting rockets The bubble begins to degrade and as the split second when the bubble pops the sniper rifle is shot and in the titans helmet is a large hole in which the sniper rifle hit The titan goes down and the guardians ghost apears The ghost begins the revival sequence and is immediately shot down by a second sniper bullet And thats how a Guardian Vs Spartan would go
none of the Guardians' supers are strong enough to hurt a Spartans armor
So it's clear you're a fanboy, and because of that i'd love to burst your bubble and say that you are entirely incorrect. If plain bullets do damage to their armor, then "the power of a collapsing star" (as the nova bomb is described to contain) would annihilate multiple spartans easily. Everybody needs to quit with these posts. Anybody who thinks a plain old spartan super soldier can compare to the destructive demi-god powers that guardians wield is blinded by their undying loyalty to their precious Halo series.
