Bungie? Please remove Touch of Malace.
So. You nerfed Gjallahorn because players forced each other to have it or they weren't taken into the raid.
BUT: With the Touch of Malace you created just the same shit.
I have that gun. and i have been in partys where the low-level players were kicked because they didn't have that weapon.
WHAT THE -blam!-?! You need to complete the raid to get this weapon.
This is just the same -blam!-ery as with the Gjallarhorn.
just more brutal because Gjally was completely random.
And you NEED to do the raid...
Why do some players act so dumb?!
Why does nobody play nice and help these players that just don't have that gun...

Now think of that: you NEED to finish the raid to obtain the gun.
but how should someone get this thing if they get kicked everytime?
i helped a guy who told me that he had been kicked out of 20 teams before for not having that gun.
It isn't the gun that is the problem.
It's the way some players handle this thing.
I'm not saying they should remove it...
but they should do something about it.

TTK has been out for a long time now and if you get kicked for not having the ToM then it is your fault...I've only killed oryx once and I have it because I've been invited in the raid...

They nerfed the gally because it was rng, not a quest reward like ToM is

My clan does help. We do it cause we know we were in that same boat once.

The reason they don't care as much is because touch of malice is available as a reward, and doesn't rely on rng to get like the gjallahorn. If the reward is available to everyone, why shouldn't people have it as a requirement for a raid? If they don't have it yet, most likely they don't have friends at their level who could help them get it done. Bungie even states themselves how hard the raid is, so of course people will be critical of the randoms that join their game

The raid exotic is excellent for the raid. Go figure. It also requires you to have beaten the raid. Go figure. Compare it to the other raid weapons (disregard PoE, that wasn't a raid) Vex mythoclast: was amazing at start, great for PvP, PvE, and was sorta good for the raid. But it was only good for the raid because of it's power, not because it was designed for using in the raid. Necrochasm: ... My point made. Touch of Malice: they made a gun that is decent in PvP, above average in PvE, and godly in the raid it was designed for. Touch of Malice is fine where it is. And I think in this case the LFG req may be justified in the sense that they want people experienced with the raid. If those who don't have it want to raid? Find sherpa's or raid with a constant group. LFG requirements always suck, by in this case they are asking for experienced people. Nobody goes into LFG looking for noobs unless they are Sherpas.

I don't have it yet.. But Gjallahorn was a matter of RNG.. ToM is an exotic quest everyone gets.. I just need like 8 more fragments

Touch of malice is pretty shit apart from the last half of the raid. Even for that its not needed it just makes it easier.. People just ask for the best weapons so they can get through it quicker...

Just keep the quest. Next DLC you will be given a shiny new ToM. Just like TTK release did. You won't have to deal with the 'guys demanding ToM' for raids. It's the Bungie way...
