Like i said whats to debate. A man of middle eastern origin was murdered for his beliefs (by jewish hands). This is not a debate, but a fact. The "fact" he was the son of god isnt really a fact is it? So its hard to debate.

7 AntwortenChristianity, just as any other religion, is a collection of ideas and beliefs that people have thrown together throughout the history of man. If you actually study the religions and their origins, you see how they take ideas that came from the religions before them and they add or take away ideas that they don't like. Then people who feel comforted by the beliefs of those religions join in and call themselves followers of whatever the religion is. So, that being said, you can see through the study of religion, that they are all the inventions of man himself, not by any "god". Magic men that live in the sky do not exist.

Bearbeitet von Power: 11/18/2015 9:25:50 PMHave to post this on all religion threads. I apologize. I sat here and thought to myself, "What would Jesus do?"
So I didn't exist.
You know, in all complete honesty... an infinite God, knowing all, understanding all, cannot fit in a human's comprehension, and can make entire universes just by breathing... I don't think he honestly needs to prove himself to anyone. If I could understand infinity all by myself and became God because of it, created my own universe with my knowledge, even made people and everything for them, I'm sure the world around them would be proof enough right? God is infinite, and is infinite in infinity. No one can understand that.

Debating usually has to do with a subject, that is tenuous at best, and its up to one party prove the other wrong. >christanity is fake >nothing to debate >get rekt relitards >profit on tears

21 AntwortenOk since the most common argument here is that if there was a God why wouldn't he stop all of These horrible things? My answer is. Why would he have to. You have to think. God is of infinite knowledge and power. We (Eve) betrayed his wishes. Thus we were ousted from the Garden of Eden, made mortal with a limited life span, would be stained with "sin" forever, would have to work/kill for their food, would have to experience sickness and disease, women would have to experience the pain of child birth, and we were no longer under his protection. Now before you go poking holes in this (just like I could do to your Big Bang) I ask that you think to yourself how would it feel if someone criticized how you lived your life since you were born. How would it feel if you were told everything you have done is wrong. Wouldn't you try to defend this? I just ask you to think about this before you do exactly that to us

Christianity, just as any other religion, is a collection of ideas and beliefs that people have thrown together throughout the history of man. If you actually study the religions and their origins, you see how they've taken ideas that came from the religions before them and they've added or taken away ideas that they don't like. Then people who feel comforted by the beliefs of those religions join in and call themselves followers of whatever the religion is. So, you can see through the study of religion, that they are all the inventions of man himself. They are started because, ignorant man needs a way to explain what he does not understand and to comfort himself when faced with death. Man's ultimate fear is that he will no longer exist after death. He also cannot fathom his own non-existence. Therefore, he thinks that he must somehow go on after his body dies. This is a rather unfortunate side effect of being self-aware. But sadly, we are biological entities, made from atoms, molecules, and cells; matter that formed during the big bang and in stars and super novas. We will die and cease to exist after our death, just as all other biological entities on earth and in our universe will. There are no magic men or "gods" that live in a wonderful unseen kingdom in the sky or in a miserable, horrible realm within the earth. I personally don't see anyone who believes in religion as being stupid, just ignorant of reality. I actually kind of wish sometimes that I could believe in some kind of religion, as maybe it would be comforting thinking that I would have some kind of afterlife. But, I am at peace with the reality that I won't. I actually think it's kinda cool that in about 5 billion years my remains, wherever they may be, well be incinerated when our sun turns into a red giant and we will all then be a part of our sun. Then billions of years after that, maybe the sun will make it to the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy and be swallowed by it.

17 AntwortenHow would god stop 'bad things' if he could... I'm assuming he would be capable of manipulating the physical world as well as take control of people and other things. So there's a hierarchy, if God is at the top, Christians in the middle... and everyone else on the bottom. Are there Christians who are more 'Christian' then others? Kind of like a scale? And even if it doesn't exist, do we hold those ideas implicitly anyways? How do you differentiate between god channeling his ideas and opinions to you, from simply you just thinking thoughts? In other words... how do you know god is talking to you? Because chrisitians feel closer to god... does that make them feel superior or more important then the rest of society? Is psychologically stressing in knowing that god is inside your head listening to your every thought and feeling? Do you have to remind yourself to not think certain things, and when you do, do you feel guilty? and lastly... does god approve of you?
Title says it all. No salties just good debating, I will respect your decisions like a civilized person as long as you act so also.
My problem with following a religion is the fact that you never see this God or Goddess. I mean have you seen God with your own eyes, do you have evidence to back up your claims that you have seen him? How could you possibly believe in a God who if they exist, has created so many things that have caused great suffering? If there is a God, what is the point of creating us, it serves God no purpose for us to exist? Why give us free will if we are punished for expressing our free will by going to eternal damnation? These are just some of my many questions about the Christian religion.
