"Don't use Touch of malice, use a sniper!!"
Can people (mainly from LFG) stop demanding that snipers are the only viable option for Warpriest!!!
I have some good snipers and could use them if I wished, but I don't, why because TOM is far better! You just have to know how to use it.
The other night I was with an awesome team from LFG, we all had TOM, dropped a blessing and weapons each time and Melted the Warpriest in two rounds.
Even if everyone doesn't run with the touch and chooses to use Spindle/1000 yd etc, the touch is still a very credible option.
Maybe it's because people are just used to just holding the trigger down on daughters/Oryx and haven't practiced "getting good" in other encounters?
What's everyone else's thoughts on the Touch of Malices use, in encounters other than the end of Kings Fall?

Use what you want, if you've got two titans for a weapons/blessing combo ToM is mint, otherwise I'll be using my sniper

9 AntwortenBlessings, weapons, tether, Touch of Malice, you can probably get him in one go if everyone is doing this, not wasting dps time, killing adds at last second and the guy with the brand also shoots warpriest.

Sounds like a good strat. But it's a strat that requires Titans. Not all groups will have a Titan. Snipers are fine and class neutral.

Sniping just helps with more consistent staggers. And there's no threat of dying unless you walk forward and backward into a blessing bubble..

Well based on your description, I can reach the same result using a sniper: "melting warpriest in two rounds." AND I can reach the same result easier since I don't need both a blessing of light and a weapons of light bubble to do it, just a weapons of light. PLUS touch of malice is less useful in the adds phase than a smite of Merain. So taking all of those facts into account, which would be the better setup. #logic

My clan can get him to 25% health in one run with WoL and shadow shot with the black spindle. Ik not everyone has the black spindle, nor am I saying that it is a requirement. I'm just saying that black spindle is by far the best method. Plus I doubt that the every player could use ToM at war priest without causing unnecessary wipes. Some ppl on these forums don't even know what counter-clockwise means. [spoiler]Ik that the 1000 yard stare could possibly out dmg the black spindle with the "Dream roll." I however had to spend 150 reforge to get my ash factory the dream roll back in HoW. I'm not going to take the ungodly amount of time to loot 150 snipes hoping that it is the dream roll. I also doubt 95% of this community doing the same thing.[/spoiler]

Snipers are easier for warpriest I think, but both ways work fine, malice x6, or spindle/1000 yard stare x6 he's going down in two rounds.

Man I'm drunk but agree that malice is a solid option if you understand how health and the gun works but spindle is just so poewrful, please get it next time it's available and then restate your posy

Now what I don't get is I get off the game for about two months. Come back, look for a team to do the raid and I put must have 365 Gjallarhorn. What do I get? A squeaker with a 170 Gjallarhorn!

The only viable way I have to use touch of malice as a Warlock isn't good for warpriest. I've messed around with claws and sunsinger in patrol to see how it should function and it actually does pretty good. Not as good as a bubble, but pretty decent. Can't use it on that encounter though, as it would kill adds needed to keep the timer up. I've thought of using it in the pit at Golgoroth, but I can't find groups that use multiple orbs there, so add control is pointless. That and I don't have the year two yet.

Use whatever you are comfortable with. For me i use my 1K stare more than the Spindle on warpriest , because i want to use my sword there. Also im dealing enough damage to him with it.

If you don't have black spindle go ahead and use ToM or whatever you want. If you do and don't use it I'm probably gonna leave the fire team

Lol congrats we too with snipers drop the Warpriest in two rounds also.

Warpriest was 3 manned with 2 runs using snipers. And was one phased by a 6 person team with snipers.
