I got a weird feeling yesterday.
Okay so all of you who may call this bait, it's not. It is simply how I feel about this game as of now
So to start this off I was walking downstairs to go play some destiny yesterday and I just stopped and thought for a moment "what could I possibly do that is any different and less boring and less repetitive than yesterday?" I answered this thought with a "nothing, absolutely nothing" and walked right back up-stairs.
You may ask what sparked this hatred and sense of dissatisfaction with destiny? To put my answer in simple form, The Taken King.
I went into the taken King with high hopes and with a mindset that made me excited to play destiny again. After its first couple weeks after launch, Bungie had me hooked again. I was playing almost everyday just to get a little more gear or a little more questing done. I wanted to do that new raid and I did. It felt great to complete it. Was I rewarded much? Meh. But I think the thing that finally made me realize what The Taken King really was, is the way Bungie is having the exotics that we were promised time gated and locked away. Another main reason is that I saw all of my gear, every single piece that I grinded for and loved ripped from my hands and thrown on the ground. It had no use, I lost my favorite guns and replaced them with mediocre and not as rewarding ones. Another thing is that ALL of the fun year 1 strikes and story missions are not in the rotation anymore. WHAT THE -blam!-!!!!!! I loved doing phogoth, archon priest, and even sepiks. I loved those bosses, idk why I just did. And they too were torn from the fun and replaced with the psion flayers and valus ta'auric (I can't stand these). So Bungie I ask you this.... Why?
Alright that's my rant as to why I have lost my incentive to play destiny.

5 AntwortenWe were doing Kings Fall Hard Mode. We, being level 310's, blew through the raid. We were in a time crunch. Only 2 hours to complete it and XxboyXxkillaXxx had wasted 45 minutes on the jumping puzzle. We blew through Warpriest and Gogoroth. 30 minutes. Once again XxboyXxkillaXxx refused to switch from blink and wasted 20 minutes on the second jumping puzzle. We destroy the sisters in 5 minutes, the 6 of us pumping into Oyrx's Daughters. We have 20 minutes to kill Oyrx. We wipe twice, both times because of XxboyXxkillaXxx refusing to kill the ogres, claiming he is a pacifist. 10 minutes left. We do considerable damage to Oyrx in the first 3 rounds considering XxboyXxkillaXxx jumped off the side in the beginning shouting random Bill Nye quotes. Fourth round. I grab the relic easily. One guy dies by jumping into the ship. Another from the Vessel. 3 people left. We stagger Oyrx, but they don't make it to the blights. It is just me. I do barely just enough damage to Oyrx to bring him to the front. I accidentally reload my ToM, and run out of bullets killing an Aycolyte. I don't have time to use a primary synth. I put my last 3 sniper shots into Oyrx but it isn't enough. I can't use my sword. I am doomed. Oyrx chuckles. Ready to end my life. BUT WHAT IS THIS?! IN THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE SCREEN! *Shesmynerd has joined the fireteam*. I see him rise above Oyrx. Cast in a veil of light. "Feel my wrath! For my name is Shesmyne... HE SHOT ME THROUGH A WALL!" *Guardian Down" Crap. Oyrx chuckles again. Tbaggs Shesmynerd and messages him, "Git gud skrub". BUT WHAT IS THIS! HOPE! *Smoggypluto has joined the fireteam* I hear the thud of a Sunbreaker super being used. He appears in a silhouette of light. The light slowly dies away and I see him. Smoggypluto. "I am not worthy", I cry. He looks at Oyrx. He opens his mouth but Morgan Freeman's voice comes out. "This is my swamp". He lifts up his Y10 Gjallihorn and kills Oyrx in one shot, while simultaneously Tbagging Shesmynerd's ghost. We all get our rewards. All 330 Light, except for XxboyXxkillaXxx, he gets shards. I didn't see mine. I sniffle and ask Smoggy what I got. "Check you're inventory." I completely missed Smoggy's misspelling of "your". I inspect myself and ghasp. Primary equiped: Y2 Thorn. Pre nerf. Chestpiece: Twilight Garrison. Secondary: Better Than Yours, exotic sniper. Heavy. I choke back tears. I must be strong for Smoggy. His Y10 Gjallahorn. Signed by Bill Nye, the Science guy. "Smoggy is love. Smoggy is life." I stammer. He hops on Xylar, The Timeless. "Black Ops 3 is going to kill Destiny", XxboyXxkillaXxx remarks. "Shut up Meg", Smoggy says. He winks at me and flies away to help others in need. "Smoggy is love. Smoggy is life." I repeat. The sound of Shesmynerd crying faintly in the background.

I feel the same, I login to raid on my warlock and Titan. I stopped nf where loot bites compared to the challenge. I ran upto oryx this morning on my warlock, will probably finish this evening then try to complete my Titan. Providing the game can hold my interest. I loved strikes before but now they suck completely since Ttk. I power through them extremely fast now if I am running 3 coins to the point I end up teleporting the rest of the team. I run oryx with randoms, iron banner I do like, trials is amusing but gets old fast sorry but everyone is pretty much the same and the same map just is boring. Soon destiny will be shelfed until a new raid or level cap. They need more content and better rewards. Adding taken to strikes does not count as new it just makes it slower or faster depending the spawn.

Perhaps the TTK should have been released after Bungie's vacation so they could actually fix everything, or at least respond.

This isn't a massive MMO where new stuff translates to hundreds of hours of fun. This is the big reason they either need to start giving us new solar systems with dozens of strikes and multiple raids, or just keep all the old stuff relevant.

1 AntwortenI hear ya! Used to log in grab my Dailey bounties and start striking! Smashing the funk outta the baddies. But I too am burnt out. But it's not like it's a bad thing. I've played this game pretty religiously for over a year now. I've gotten my money's worth out of it. And I'm sure I'll come back when there's another dlc and see what it's all about. But for now. Too the wastelands

My clan disbanded two weeks ago. I havent played with em in a long time. On my psn, most of destiny players have switch to cod, nfs and with the release of fallout and bfont, its less likely that ill find someone to play with on destiny. I myself have not done the weekly for the x3 legendary marks. Nor have i played a single pvp match. I have been doing the raid with a bunch of random from lfg up to the daughters to gear up for trials only and thats it. I just didnt want to waste more of my precious time. Destiny is so stale and there is nothing much to do as of now.

2 AntwortenMy clan has beat the hard raid twice and we have gotten crap from Oryx some of us only got two blaming shards!!! I've been playing every day back to the alpha. If they don't fix the loot drops for the hard raid I think I will be done. :(

What drives me nuts is for every good thing Bungie does for Destiny they turn around and do 10 -blam!-ing retarded things to completely ruin it. Let alone their obvious distain for their "fans". I gave Destiny sooooo much of a chance to redeem itself and it failed miserably. See ya'll at Fallout 4

I feel exactly the same. Destiny is boring now. I bought BO3, what I didn't plan to, but many friends of mine, who also played destiny bought it so I bought it too. It's actually pretty good and fun. Defenitely better than Advanced Warfare and a step back in the right direction, but not back to its former glory. Next week I'm going to give fallout 4 a shot (never played any fallout game). Can't buy it today or this week, because of a big essay that needs to be finished. I'm taking a big break on destiny.
