Why do people sleep on Fusion Rifles? Side arms?
I can't understand this; fellow players well run around all day with a [b]sniper rifle and and shotgun.[/b] But will barely use their primary. Okay cool. But when it comes to special weapons. My dearest people won't ever pick up a fusion rifle or a side arm...
Here's my issue with that.
A. A fusion rifle gives you close to mid range one squeeze kill. But it's all about the timing. But let me guess. You'd rather squeeze and immediately get the kill. Hm. Right.
B. If you're all about your primary. Your sidearm can save your ASS. Like let's say you're creaming enemy team and you run out of ammo. And dudes health barely moved. What are you gonna do. Hope you can get the melee. Or whip out a trusty sidearm and melt him?
Answer seems pretty logical. There's so many different ways to play yet everyone I've encountered does the same thing. Run. Blam shotgun. Reload.
I mean. What do you guys think?

Edit 3: Fastest Charge Fusion rifle? I'm running Midhas from the raid and it gets the job done. But stil need another. Preferably Solar.

1 AntwortenLook dude, I love sidearms and praetorian foil was my best friend, but growing up, I was a marksman at heart. So naturally, i stick with a sniper. Maybe they use shotguns and snipers cause that's what their good at? IDK you just gotta think before you get all salty about it.

whenever we get a primary sidearm so I can still snipe I'll start actually using my sidearm collection. Used to run NLB and vestian in HoW but now NLB is obsolete.

I have been having arguably too much fun with Telesto in PvP lately, lol... I also run Susanoo quite a lot... Just bought a Conviction Space-Glock from New Monarchy and it seems to pillage just as nicely as my other two pistols.

Split Shifter Pro...I laugh in face off shotgun (unless you use blink shotgun, it's hard to kill you then) Snipers well I tend to stay indoors if their about. Signing off the forgotten fusion.

Pocket infinity used to be king. Got the worst nerf of all weapons to be nerfed. Plan C is still beast.

6 AntwortenOkay. Here's some cold hard facts. Fusion rifles and Sidearms are INCONSISTENT The spread of a fusion is RNG. This can be decreased with more stability. However in the end, it is RNG. I love fusions however sometimes they leave enemies with a sliver of health. A mistake that shotguns and snipers will not make if used right. I would rather move up point blank with a shotgun for a kill I KNOW I will get, rather than keep a little bit of distance for a kill I might not get. Fusions are only guaranteed kills at point blank shotgun range..... You know what's also guaranteed to kill at point blank shotgun range?..... Shotguns Sidearms have travel time. Damage dropoff is HUGE. From close, a bodyshot can do 40 damage. Move a little bit farther, just a little, and it will do 19 to the body. Now shotguns will 100% kill if you are at the right range Snipers will 100% kill if you get a headshot

2 AntwortenI use fusions all the time but in crucible they're are slightly less desired. Sometimes they do different dmg or leave your opponent with a sliver of health left while other time they kill. I still love using the frenzy in pvp, and my warlock susansoo is great in pve. I don't get why so few ppl use fusions.

4 AntwortenYour correct . There are a lot of guardians that use the ' run and gun ' style of play which is great for catching people off guard and finishing them quick . However, I and it sounds like you too , are a team player and a tactician . I like to have my presence known , I like to 'own' not just the space I occupy at the time but entire zones of the map . I want my opponents to have a fair shot at me and me at them . I enjoy controlled domination . For this style of play - Fusions and pulses and HMG Or Hand cannons and side arms and HMG Or ( exotic primary ) and sniper and HMG Frequent weapon swaps - intentional reloads - conserving my life to enforce my will over others ( not ever running in if you can help yourself cuz that's when death follows . I like HMG's because rockets take no skill and IB promotes HMG use . Also you get more kills with a HMG . Unless you have a rocket during control and the whole team is squatting together of course . Swords are for fun Rockets are for noobs

I use a sidearm in PvP, for exactly the reason you said. When the magazine on my primary runs empty and my opponent is still alive, switching over to the sidearm and squeezing off a few quick rounds will seal the kill and save my ass. Only thing is, that situation rarely comes up for me. Usually either my target is dead or I am before I've eaten through my whole primary magazine. So it usually only comes up after I've taken one opponent down and there's another too nearby for me to risk reloading.

Why are people asking about sleeping on weapons?

There are very, very few sidearms so I suspect that is why you don't see them. Fusion is harder to use and a tiny bit of lag will make them impossible to get a kill with.
