Here's some finals gameplay from a Tournament I played in and won on Nov 7th, 2015.
It was really fun. If you're interested in tournaments go here
So I'm going to change the contents of this thread to some Tournament gameplay. I think tournaments in Destiny are fun and deserve more attention.
Competitive scene! wooh! :D

1 AntwortenCommunication on point man. Congratz. Oh and that one part where you practically shoved your shotgun down that titans throat in blind watch and only got 50 damage out of it, I was even saying "what the -blam!-?" With you lol
-
22 AntwortenI honestly don't even know who the people in that match are. RIP Destiny if this is considered "sweaties" now.
-
Lol, run a shotgun as your primary and rudely boss your team around.
much skill

such sweat
-
4 AntwortenLooks like you need to learn how to play salvage, and what a primary is. Fgt

2 AntwortenIt's funny how you still complain about thorn...
-
1 AntwortenCompetitive? Thorn? Bruh, all of you didn't moved from the spawn, it's so easy to destroy campers on Blind watch but these guys didn't tried it lol.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von KoltesPunti: 11/10/2015 8:47:20 AMWatch video, saw Thorns all the way, quit video cause of y1 weapons in crucible.... Ps: every "good" pvp player i saw played with year one wepons and uses "glitches" in crucible - why? (What i mean with glitch: For example icebreaker in inferno for shoty mun or the primary exo shoty (dont know the english name) Yes i even can play with thorn too (and i would be even better in pvp with it) but thats not the meaning of the game and i hope bungie do something against this!

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Catchmy22: 11/9/2015 8:01:00 PMSo did you troll the forums with your OP to call attention to a vid of you camping and chasing with a shotgun, or did you troll with your first post to inject more troll? Trollception? That or you're completely serious, and you felt complaining about the game followed by this vid made sense, which concerns me.

There is no such thing as competitive destiny, never will be. Need a pro community first.
-
Nerf it.

10 AntwortenHey man, don't know if you remember me or not, but I'm glad to see you're still wrecking! Nice work!
I miss Void :/
-
13 AntwortenDestiny Tournament is an oxymoron. It's far from being a competitive game which is evidenced by the lack of a competitive scene.
-
11 AntwortenI'd smoke you guys lol
-
3 AntwortenCongrats tzavvy and anatamize. I miss you guys :(

Best set up. Nirwin's mercy The chaperon Baron's ambition. #2: NTTE Good shotgun the raid machine gun
-
10 AntwortenYour kd is so high because you only pubstomp noobs, you play skirmish the most which is obviously your lowest KD because some games you've been destroyed You abuse tf out of 'op' weapons and use only sunbreaker now, you're a -blam!-ing scrub and I'd love to wipe the floor with you
-
3 AntwortenHow do I get in on this
-
2 AntwortenAnatamize, still wish you didn't kick all 360 members from void....
-
4 AntwortenThe defender build with no backup plans is some of the most fun I've had in the crucible. It's not broken though because it is an odd and semi challenging build to get used to.

1 AntwortenSomeone bump so I can watch later please.

6 AntwortenIgnore the haters. You gotta remember that 99% of the community are casual players who have no idea what they're watching in your video. They can't appreciate what they don't understand. As much as we all wish Destiny was more competitive, it just doesn't have the community interest to make it a competitive shooter. All of the die hard sweaty players are on Halo. Destiny doesn't have a ranking system, skill based matchmaking, or even a leaderboard outside of a 3rd party website. Hell, there aren't even custom lobbies. Enjoy the game and have fun playing against other competitive players. Just know that whenever you try to share your idea of fun with this community...they will hate on you. They'd rather watch someone do bounties becons on Cosmodrome than watch a competitive Destiny player win a tournament.

31 AntwortenIn my opinion, the Crucible is unbalanced due to a large amount of core mechanics that have been implemented throughout its lifespan. For the majority of this post, I will be referring back to the Halo multiplayer metagame. This is in part due to the fact that Halo multiplayer is one of the most balanced (and in my opinion one of the best) multiplayer experiences of the first-person shooter genre. Firstly, Destiny has one of the lowest skill ceilings for the modern-day fps. There are little to no gunfighting maneuvers. For example, Black Ops II featured a very strong version of the jump shot, which allowed players to jump and fire their weapons at the same time. Black Ops II also less prominently featured the drop shot, which also could be used to win more gunfights. These gunfighting maneuvers allow those who possess these skills to have an advantage in gunfights. Therefore, the skill ceiling is much higher for these games. While Halo did not feature gunfighting maneuvers of this nature, Halo relied almost completely on gunskill, which increased the skill-ceiling tremendously. Destiny lacks any of these core gunfighting maneuvers (Blink-shotgun and slide-shotgun require relatively low skill). Also, aim assist is extremely high in this game, which is why hitting headshots is so easy (for most). Most of the popular weapons in the Crucible possess extremely low recoil patterns. The weapons are much too easy to control, which eliminates gunskill from the Crucible. The end result is a multiplayer experience that relies more heavily on your weapons and subclass than your gunskill. Therefore, it would make sense that the community complains about the weapons themselves, and not the core game mechanics that enhance the problem. Rather than outgun the enemy, you can outplay them with your subclass and your weaponry. It is important to remember that the Crucible was also unbalanced before the Taken King's release. However, the release of new subclasses, that are even more ability-based, has only magnified the problem. It almost feels that no amount of planning, skill, or experience can defeat a Sunbreaker (or any super for that matter). This in itself is the root of the problem. No matter how skilled players are, they can still be beat by supers, abilities, or secondary weapons. Halo did not suffer this problem. Weapons like snipers, shotguns, and (variants of) fusion rifles could not be equipped at the start of the match. For most of the Halo games, all players started with the same class (what a weird concept). These "power" weapons could be found around the map. However, it took knowledge of their span times and a variety of skills to retrieve them. Players had to fight over these weapons due to the fact that there could only be one of these weapons on the map at a time. Of course, the power weapons were much better than your starting weapons, but they were not a problem in terms of being too over-powered because not everyone could equip a power weapon at one time. The Bungie that regulates Destiny, on the other hand, has dedicated their efforts towards lowering the skill ceiling of the Crucible. Even the idea of reaction time has been removed from this first-person shooter. The fact that players "trade" so often is the fact that the Crucible is very laggy. If I can react a half-second slower than the player on the other end of the game and still earn a kill through "trading", reaction time has been nullified. In conclusion, the cause of the Crucible being unbalanced is not Nirwen's Mercy, 1000 Yard Stare, or Hammer of Sol. The Crucible is unbalanced because gunskill is not a priority in determing skill. The Crucible is unbalanced because supers exist. The Crucible is unbalanced because players can spawn with some of the most powerful weapons in the game. The skill ceiling is extremely low, and therefore I cannot "git gud" even if I wanted to. There will always be some kid with a super waiting around the corner to destroy any speck of skill that this game has to offer.
