Proof snipers are broken
This week's trials map is a close quarters map yet you can snipe on it,shows snipers are broken,this needs fixing best way is to increase scope magnification and reduce the high aim assist that all snipers have,shot huns have been nerf alot it's time snipers are looked at!!!!
Edit.not replying too many salty scrub snipers
Edit. Bungie put a close quarters map this on purpose to look at snipers you watch when they get a nerf as they aren't being used as they meant to be

I agree, year two snipers aim assist is retarded. I watched a youtube video today of a guy using 1k.y.s. He panic shoots at a guy across the map. Three rounds and gets a head shot when the scope is 10 feet above the guys head. 1k.y.s should be removed from the game or aim assist/hidden hand should be removed from all snipers. Then you'd see a huge drop off of these scrubs using it.

How is a video of someone other than yourself getting destroyed by a better play "proof"? If you look that player up, you can clearly see that he's a much better player than you or your friend. Where as most weapons have their damage falloff at increasing range, snipers need to do less and less damage the closer they are to the target. Makes sense, because at a closer range, the bullet hasn't had time to build up the speed and momentum it needs to kill someone.

I guarantee if you picked up a sniper, you would be absolutely trash with it, but snipers are clearly broken... And btw, as a sniper, I can tell that shot was ridiculously lucky. Jump sniping has no accuracy to it, and is really pretty much all luck. You just got unlucky really, if you ever used a sniper(Conspiracy Theory doesn't count) you would know that. Edit: Btw, 2v3 is not impressive, kids were garbage. I've 1v3 kids before, and demolited them, it's really not that hard.

7 AntwortenYour physics aren't correct, if you got shot by a sniper bullet at close range, you're dead (or wishing you were!). So people can quick scope on high aim assist guns? I'm a total scrub in PVP, no trials for me, but if you stand in one place, you're asking for someone to snipe you. Aim Assist is a big part of Destiny's gun play. It's just the way it is, if its that big of an issue, show bungie your real displeasure and stop playing.

The answer is obvious The game should be setup so that more skilled you are with a sniper the harder they are to use but the skill cap shouldn't be too low so that you still need some skill to effectively use the sniper

I got a collateral kill with my sniper in the building to the left when i tried to drag shot someone, missed, and his two team mates run in behind him :)
