Legacy engrams
Should I buy a legacy engram in hopes of getting red death? It is the only year one primary besides hawkmoon (xboxone) that I don't have. Or will it more likely be a waste and give me something I don't want? I only have 42 coins this week because I didn't play very much but I really want red death.
Thank you all for your replies I think I'm going to go for it all I'll be losing is a few strange coins anyway. I will post later whether or not I got it.
I got hawkmoon..................... But I am at 30 strange coins again so I will try again... Think I might have a gambling addiction.

If you really need strange coins, run level 28 Prison of Elders. You can butter through it and get multiple strange coins per run (from the chests at the end).

I bought one hoping it was red death and I got hawkmoon :/ i think it's kinda dumb that if you have a yr2 it doesn't unlock the year one. But it was a gamble so I can't bitch that much and I don't really need 3oC anymore but I still picked up 20 of them. Maybe if I'm lucky and get alot of strange coins today and tomorrow Il try a second one since the chances of a red death are higher now or maybe Il just run Poe to use 3oC and hope for a drop

2 AntwortenIts up to you but I noticed it seems to do it in a certain order if you have not got say hawkmoon or bad bad juju first then you will likely get them before red death. It goes in order from a to z haha it seems. For example in the first week when the heavy engram was legacy I expected truth as it was the only one I did not have and thats what I got.

Yes. I bought two, got a Hawkmoon and a Red Death (only Year 1 primaries I didn't have).

The only year 1 I was missing was 4th Horseman. When Xur sold the legacy special last week I bought exactly one engram and got the Year 1 4th Horseman. I think in your case it's 50/50 though since you're also missing the Hawkmoon. Up to you if you want to roll the dice.

Bearbeitet von zmach1: 11/6/2015 5:31:28 PMI tried for Bad JuJu the week that Xur sold Hawkmoon (I bought it). He then gave me a Hawkmoon from a legacy engram. Yep, wasn't happy about that. Today, I was in a similar position wanting to get Bad JuJu. Took a chance and got a Y1 Bad JuJu, which became a Y2 shortly afterwards. If you really want the gun, it may be worth the risk. Good luck.

It is smart loot, so you have a higher chance of getting what you dont have....so maybe? That's up to you if you want to risk it.

Is it the only Y1 primary you needed? Coincidence or not but Dreg's Promise was the only Y1 secondary I needed and my engram from the other week turned into it, so there may be some truth in the smart loot theory.
