Edit: just went 394 and 166 in skirmish with here after Come at me
(The game glitches and never ended)
Glad to see more day 1 players than the taken kids on here salute to you all
Editing cause it was too long
Do not comment or bother trying to argue if you have like 2 raids completed or less than 4000 grimore. I'm going to just assume you're a bundle baby and required 300+ people to do the vault of glass on normal
VOG- harder than kings fall
Had much better rewards
Wasn't long because one jack ass on your team couldn't do one of the 5 jumping puzzles, you went straight into the fights no bullshit in between
Vault took 14 hours to complete by the worlds first
Kings fall took 7-8 for worlds first
Also I'm not taking into account the weapons we have as of now
Yes I'm aware raze lighter shits on year one gjally pre nerf and that makes kings fall a bit easier but no. And I would have more kings fall completions but
The rewards are shit
I can never find a team to kill war priest on hard
And I prefer trials over kings fall.
Crotas end is a strike not a raid
You can literally one shot ir yut* with nighthawk lol

I can't disprove that statement

The warlock chest plate from the VOG is hella good looking Bruh d
-
You're not wrong
-
Day 1 player, Kings fall is great, VoG is better.
-
Nobody can prove you wrong because all of this crap is opinion based. 'Crota's end is the best raid, prove me wrong' ^That statement has the same validity.^

1 AntwortenVault of glass was the only raid with armor that didn't make your character look like absolute shit.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Darches: 11/4/2015 8:38:38 AMBeneath Venus, evil stirs. Epic loot awaits the brave who descend into the vault where time frays. I'm sorry but VoG sounds WAY cooler. In KF you basically just teleport in and kill everybody because they're evil, and not for the loot. The loot hardly exists, and it's not even good.

Always which is why I didn't spend on on the taken scam.

3 AntwortenDay 1 since Beta. I disagree. In terms of difficaulty at the time: Vault of Glass > King's Fall > Crota's End > Skolas' Revenge In terms of how fun they are Vault of Glass = King's Fall > Crota's End > Skolas' Revenge Vault of Glass taking longer to get World's First is not a basis for it being better than King's Fall. Playing a game for a year means you are far more experienced and know how to level far quicker than you did on Day 1. You also can see similar traits and understand Mob mechanics better too. But despite this, King's Fall is mechanically better for me. 3 Bosses, 2 Jumping Puzzles (well, technically 3), 1 Maze. VoG has 2 Bosses, 1 Jumping Puzzle, 1 Maze. By comparison, Crota's End has 1 Boss, 1 (Sort-of)Maze, and Skolas' Revenge doesn't count as its not a Raid. Honestly, its a close call, but King's Fall tops it for me. It is more demanding on the whole of your Fireteam than anything else besides Skolas' Revenge. In VoG, originally you could pick who was teleported, leaving the bad players the easier job, and if you were bad with the Relic, you didn't have to run it. In CE, only 1 good Swordbearer was needed and you were good. In SR, you had to be on it to give callouts on when to take the essence, watch your health, and dismantle the mines, albeit less of an issue as there is only 3 of you. KF is much less forgiving - can't run the Relic and been randomly picked to run it at the Daughters? Tough. That alone has made me waste hours with idiots who cant listen or learn. The fact that it forces everyone to be on their game at Oryx is a factor too. You can't just sit shooting Supplicants like in VoG. You can't just bring Crota's shield down like in CE. You have a job and if you screw it up, its most likely a wipe. And I love that challenge, and that too me makes it better than VoG was.
-
The Kings Fall raid is better because it forces each player in a fireteam to pull their weight. VOG did not really do that. For VOG, as long as you had 2 good relic runners, you were going to be okay because the rest were just there to shoot stuff. The best part of Kings Fall is the Sisters encounter because the two dimension thing is completely random. You can say Atheon encounter is similar when he teleports 3 random people but then again if you have the relic runner teleported you are fine, if you dont, you will wipe and the team will just blame the wipe on not having the relic runner teleported rather than actually having every individual know how to run the relic.

VoG doesn't gave a wall of dicks.

Bearbeitet von Kiwisan: 11/4/2015 2:49:18 PMDon't get me wrong, VoG was a great and fun raid. Did VoG not have bad drops as well? Don't remember forever 29 and just getting ascendant material or same gear multiple times? But putting aside rewards, Kings Fall is the better raid. After our Crota's End strike, people wanted a more complex raid that could rival VoG. Kings Fall delivered that, in my opinion. It gives everyone a role and required that the do said role. During VoG, you could be down 2-3 people and function fine. Let's not go into all the cheeses. Also, lore wise I find it more interesting. We defeated Oryx in the material world, but that only sends him back to his throne world where eventually he will rise again. So we head to his throne world to challenge the Warpriest, Golgroth, Daughters, and Oryx. These all supply Oryx with light to feed his worm and without them, he would be consumed by his worm. Meanwhile, we went into VoG because......? Also, between both raid specific exotic ToM has great behind how it comes to be as well.

2 AntwortenCaveat: haven't heard of any KF cheese... VOG was so hard because it was the first of its kind for this genre. Player experience since then has allowed skills to improve. That being said, I think KF is better because it was not cheesed to death like VOG or Crota. Better technical design from Bungie's end, led to more players needing to complete the content as intended (more or less).

I absolutely loved VOG! Honestly wish they would make a higher lvl version with year 2 rewards. Unfortunately, I haven't done VOG in awhile. Might have to change that.

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von NathanW18: 11/4/2015 3:40:36 AMThere are reasons why VoG took much longer to beat than KF. 1) The community was new to the game. Nobody was that good at the game in week one. 2) We were new to raiding in Destiny. We didn't exactly know what to expect. The community has gotten much better. 3) Our weapons were mostly horrible. Very few people had weapons suitable for the raid. 4) Most people were under levelled. Being under levelled in year one meant way more than it does now. 5) The Atheon fight was bugged and caused unfair wipes. People didn't know how to deal with the bugs on release day of the raid. I have been playing this game since the alpha. I have close to 300 raid completions across them all. VoG is a great raid, but I think KF is better. The mechanics make it more difficult for a team to carry a bunch of below average players through. I don't think it should be simple carrying half of your team through a raid. VoG had better(OP) rewards, because Bungie made mistakes at the beginning. The game was new and they created weapons that were too powerful. Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, Found Verdict, Praedyth's Revenge, and Corrective Measure were all still top tier weapons during House of Wolves. People now believe all of the new weapons are horrible. The reason for that is because everything from VoG was too strong. If the game had appropriate rewards from the beginning, people would not be complaining as much.

VOG is not harder than kings fall? It was in my opinion a "normal" raid. What I mean by normal is that with a quick explanation you can beat it. Not a difficult raid because it was cheesable (I'm basing this off VOG from the start of destiny) Vault of glass cheeses ( based on hard raids) Beginning: cheesed by zoning into new area so spire can build itself. Confluxes: when templar summoned legions, people hid in cave and on rocks Oracles: Staying at spawn to snipe oracles to not have to deal with adds Templar: 1.) killed from floating platform on left side of area 2.) pushed off with grenades 3.) sniper like oracles Gorgons: invis, then run through, multiple night stalker hunters or P&T could carry a team through hard here in seconds. Gatekeeper: N/A Atheon: 1.) killed with grenades 2.)back 3 people teleported ("stacking" teleported players. Crotas End Abyss: rock at second lamp can be used to skip to last few lamps. Can sit behind rock at bridge and be safe. Bridge: swordbearer can jump across while team does then self resurrects. Hallway: N/A Death singer: celestial nighthawk (not cheese more than simple strat but worth a mention) Crota: hiding in gatekeeper room to not fight ogres, pulling Ethernet cable to freeze crota Kings Fall Court of Oryx: N/A Pendulum Room/shipyards: N/A Totems: N/A Warpriest: N/A (unless you count the strategies use here, but those aren't cheeses) Golgoroths cellar: N/A (way to keep people from falling in holes pending) Golgoroth: N/A (not counting one bubble or 2 gaze runner strategy) Piston walls: players can use swords and jump slash up the walls making plates unnecessary Daughters: N/A Oryx: N/A (no knight is not a cheese, it's actually worse as you force the adds to spawn as you need to get to your bombs, most usually for here or getting to the daughter platforms. TL;DR: Kings fall is the hardest raid in destiny currently, many have beaten vault of glass but most still haven't even touched the hard raid. There are no cheeses in kings fall where as the other raids almost had cheeses for every encounter.

VoG took 14 hours bcoz ppl were: - clueless how raid mechanics work - underleveled - utter shit weapons
-
Don't get me wrong i had TONS of fun doing VoG and met many friends to always run it with due to randoms leaving, Crota was very fun and quick as you said it was basically a strike, was just way to quickly to beat. King's fall....now thats a disgrace lol i run through hard on tuesdays first to save time, but i get moldering shards at bosses that give weapons and armor.....Warpriest = 2 moldering shards and maybe a 300 rocket launcher lol VoG always gave me weapons all the time :)
Still need Praetorian Foil and the rocket from VoG ):
-
shooting those oracles is annoying as hell
-
Doing Templar for Fatebringer was the worst (never got it...) Atheon was always fun to try tho! Great times... Learned to run relic one day when my friend wasn't saying "Oh he doesn't know how to run relic" "well yeah I don't know cause you've said that since the first day I raided!

There is no raid that its good enough to be compared to VoG, well not yet atleast.

1 AntwortenMy bud atheon did a pretty good job but he himself said I did better

It is certainly the more enjoyable raid. Having done King's Fall twice on my friend's account, I can safely say I now hate all the Hive raids. Half of KF just seemed unecessary.

6 AntwortenLet's compare what you have to do: VoG- kill enemies hold plate KF-grab relic break barriers kill enemies time relic placements repeat 6x VoG-hold confluxes/hide from mob wave KF- 3 Jumping parts VoG-kill oracles then hold off adds KF- hold two totems have person from each totem with the brand move to middle deposit power come back in time to repeat VoG- take relic, kill oracles, kill adds, wipe shield with relic, hold teleports(optional) repeat KF- kill all adds, kill majors, do plates in correct order, get brand and get behind a pillar, have everyone but the person with the brand shoot the boss, person with the brand shoot adds to refill timer(hold off as long as possible) then hide behind pillar if you don't no matter what you die, repeat (same with taken) VoG-Maze/jumping KF-Maze VoG- kill adds then gatekeeper go into portal hold portal open kill adds in portal take relic Come out hold middle repeat 2x then hold both portals and middle for a little KF-(3orb strat, that's the most legit) kill ALL adds, get into position, break orb, grab gaze, swap gaze 2x, break orb, grab gaze, swap gaze2x, break orb, grab gaze, all run down shoot as much as possible repeat as necessary(with taken just forget adds except for when in orb) VoG-no counter KF-wall of thrusting dicks(jumping) VoG-no counter KF-once ready, jump onto correct platforms in order/kill adds, grab aura, kill/severely injure, stay in aura, repeat as necessary VoG-no counter KF-Start fight when ready, kill adds, do correct platform order, kill ogres that spawn, kill adds, get aura from knight, kill knight, run to middle, stagger oryx, detonate ALL blights, run back into aura, dodge mortars, repeat, dodge mortars, repeat, dodge shade, repeat, run to front and shoot oryx to finally kill him VoG- wait until teleport, INSIDE: grab relic kill adds shoot oracles but stay in aura to not get blinded,OUTSIDE: keep portal open/kill adds, jump into middle stay in aura shoot Atheon, repeat. How do they compare when side to side? (This is only normal vs normal keep that in mind)
