This is a legit question based off a chat I had with friends.
We all hate getting oneshotted it every single time feels cheep and outright kills the chaos and fun of a game mode because everyone instantly hides and camps as noone wants to stick their head out.
(Though I'm sure the top 10% love it :p)
So I was thinking should one - shot kills be removed and instead double taps be a true mark of skill?
It let's everyone still run around like the gods we are and those who are good with snipers and shotguns will still rockface.
It Keeps the flow of match going leading to more intense gunfights and stops the feeling of cheep kills that everyone is getting fed up with
Thoughts?
Edit: good points all round. Thanks for not trolling the hell out of this

14 AntwortenThey should remove aim assits on all weapons. It doesnt really matter if its one shot kill weapon, but we should be able to compete with other weapons, right now the one shot kill weapons are reigning supreme in destiny.
-
As long as getting one shot by a shotgun is also removed, sure.
-
Destiny is "balanced." Every thing is a one hit kill It's like they sat down and said...hmmm how can we balance the game? Then one random dude yelled out, "Let's just make it where everyone dies instantly!"

1 AntwortenOne shot mechanics are the reason I don't take this games PvP seriously. Why do we have shields again?
-
Why would I aim for the was with a sniper then?
-
I swear to god people are so stupid
-
I love the trials, but I would be interested in perhaps an additional version that restricted special ammo a bit, I think I would enjoy both
-
So a headshots requires 2 shots HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA good one man
-
Please stfu.

1 AntwortenWhat if, instead of getting revived right where you died, it spawns you 10 feet or so in a random direction? You could still get one shotted but the sniper who would normally get you would have to adjust.
-
If you get shot in the head, you should die... Stop trying to ignore the fact that you leave yourself wide open
-
1 AntwortenIf it takes 2 head shots to kill with a sniper you might as well just use a primary.
-
6 AntwortenI was doing trials yesterday and I got spawn sniped 7 times in one match. So yeah one shot head shots are bullshit
-
Yes, in fact we should get rid of all killing in video games so everyone will be happy :)
-
1 AntwortenThey would be removing special and heavy weapons all together lol other than keeping light machines
-
Bearbeitet von chum: 11/2/2015 7:58:59 PMNo one shot body shots with snipers unless you have weapons of light, they are tethered, or they are melting point-ed
-
Yes. No 1 shot kills.
-
2 Antwortenone shot BODY shots should be removed
-
Eh, it's not like it's Final Round. People are still trying to get head shots...just sometimes it'll kill when we should've hit the body. Also, that Omolon sniper has very low aim assist. It's not easy to use. I think it's no more unfair than Hawkmoon 2-shotting you.
-
3 AntwortenEvery time I get one-shot, it is a sharp reminder that I made a mistake...
that's how I see it anyway
-
They were, when final round was removed from body shots. Anything else that you are implying makes zero sense
-
Shotguns yes. Snipes, no.
-
Everyone has access to the same weapons. How you use them is the problem. If you can't beat 'em...
-
One shot kills are fine. What is killing the chaos is people who are afraid to die in a virtual game where immortality is assured. Think about it for a second. You know what would feel cheap? Being the guy with a high caliber space weapon watching his well placed shots ding off the side of another guy's super reinforced noggin. It's not like you instantly kill over from every shot fired at you. But if a sniper nails you, or a shotgun punches a hole into you at close range, you are going to take a dirt nap.

8 AntwortenWhat kind of stupid sniper would need two headshots to get a kill. That would be stupid
-
5 AntwortenJust fix the spawn sniping and I'll be happy. Doesn't seem like that is alot to ask
