Red bar harassment..
Ok so I'm from England and normally team up with an austrailian friend which results in one or both of us having a red bar in pvp, for the most part I do not notice this having an adverse affect on the game but in a match earlier I got a psn msg from a guy on the other team hurling abuse at me "fag lagger, cock sucker" has anyone else had this? Just because they team up with people across the world?

1 AntwortenI only report red bar people if it gives them an advantage. Mean messages aren't excusable. It sucks when that happens.

Report the harasser on PSN and move forward. Don't give such people the time of day.

4 AntwortenPing is going to always be an issue here since the game uses P2P multiplayer. That said its not your problem its on Bungie's hands to find a solution be it to optimize its code to cope or to region lock multiplayer to avoid the lag. I hope you reported that douche bag since its not your fault nor your friend's that the game cant play smoothly for all.

With how aggressive this game is it makes it incredibly frustrating. I've gotten the same messages, though who's to say I deserved it. I didn't notice any lag the match that I got it, and normally when I am lagging it's as I said. The timing is off, I'm not seeing things as they are and just not effective.

Since you'll consistently have red bars, Bungie is going to ultimately penalize one (or both) of you with temporary timeouts from Crucible for bad connections, [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=13762]as per recent updates[/url]. So if you're looking for sympathy from them, I'm afraid you won't find much. Bungie is about to do much worse than call you names...

lol, people seem to think this makes you go god mode, I can tell you it doesn't. My ISP is very inconsistent, some days it's green all the way, other times it's red, but it's one of the better providers in my area . when I am red bar, and presumably host. I do not get rewarded, I can tell you that. I've seen video "evidence" of my "lag switch" and the people complaining are not experiencing anything nearly as bad as I do. I might warp here and there, but they're kidding themselves if they think that's helping me. From my perspective, I'm watching guardians take shotgun blasts and return to full health, they walk away then I die 20 seconds later from their melee. I've been shot through walls. Blink strike meleed by someone who was across the map and sniped by Conspiracy Theory-D. I've wasted full clips on guys running straight at me only to be sniped by them from 80 yards away. when I'm green bar it's not unusual for me to go 20-30 with a 1.3-2.4 KD. When I'm red bar I go 6-12 with .6-.4 KD's you people think this is an advantage? no, it's miserable and it's mostly bungie's fault. The host issue was apparent in Halo, but wasn't fixed, the net code is obviously outdated and not designed for the next gen consoles, no dedicated servers. I avoid MP when my connection is really bad, especially PVP, because I don't do well. I used to play on BF4 a lot and had a few issues, but nothing like this and they've spent most of their updates fixing net code and servers. so why is bungie relying on a system that didn't even work for the last gen consoles?

If they had used part of that $500 million for dedicated servers instead of going $100 million game and $400 million advertising I could be playing on dial up and it wouldn't do anything except effect my experience. Either do dedicated servers, let us select the host with the best connection, or have the game select the host with the best connection.

Sorry about joy stick boy you can report the haters. Press on their name in the game and do a report- unfriendly , harassment ect. There is no room for that in a bloody game to curse at people.

I have a rather large amount of experience in Out of Region play, since I'm in Asia and my friends are in the US, with: GTA Battlefield 3 Battlefield 4 Battlefield Hardline CODMW3 CODBO2 Halo 4 Far Cry 3 Titanfall In all my games I have never seen an advantage to where I am a superman. What I have seen is all the same problems everyone else complains about and being 2-3 seconds everything. They as well have never reported any problems.
