Imagine going to Patrol, selecting "Level 40", flying in and landing in a safe zone. Once you step out of the safe zone, you are not able to return unless you call in an extraction (30 Seconds) or if you are killed.
Patrol Bosses remain and PvP is active. 10 people are able to be in a particular area at once, name tracking is disabled. Radar doesn't distinguish players from enemies.
Why 10? 3,6,9 and 1. This is to prevent abuse of grouped fireteams.
What would be the motive for playing besides for fun?
New Monarchy, Dead Orbit and Future War Cult reputation can be gained by salvaging relics from the golden age, stand by them for 60 seconds to succeed in extraction. Maybe 50 rep per node.
Resource nodes give more than regular in exchange for the risk of dying and losing all obtained spinmetal or said resource node.
[b]Edit:[/b] PvE Players don't like the fact it's PvP-Oriented, therefore I say we make another Patrol have its own difficult-boosted version with higher level enemies, but with PvP disabled.
Also, for those asking for rewards for killing players the only reason I'm against this is because Fireteam farming.

Yesssss this would be so worth it. Level advantages enabled as well since this is still technically a PvE zone for the higher ranking PvE players. Let the fun begin.

the issue with your idea is only trolls would play. there would be people who sit just outside safe zones and player kill of spawn just to ruin other peoples fun. pvp should be pvp and pve should be pve. plus this breaks game lore. all guardians work together and only fight in crucible.

1 Antworten1. world pvp would be beyond broken, just imagine a guy sitting with a black spindle waiting for player to leave the safe zone. furthermore, world pvp would be stupid in a game like destiny which is s'posed to be co-operative focused 2. having 10 players does NOT do anything to prevent abuse of group fireteams....two fireteams working together would still dominate the other 4 people to spawn in....and of course the one guy by himself would ge the shit end of the deal. 3. this should go in the feedback section, 4. it's a bas idea that is heavily unbalanced.

It will have lots of cute lambs, calves, ponies, baby chickens for them to touch, cuddle, and take selfies with. They could play mini-games like "Collectin' Eggs", "Round 'Em Up", "Milk the Cow", and "Brush the Pony" Reputation could be earned at appropriate levels.

This is cool, but I doubt the current engine would be able to achieve that. Maybe further down the line. Although it doesn't make sense for Guardians to fight each other at all. Would be more likely if in D2 or D3 you could play as different races, and you would have a more "dark souls"-ey approach to your pvp/pve blend.

4 AntwortenI love this idea but I feel as though it might ruin the casual feel of normal patrol because they take place in the same area. Maybe when the next big sequel hits they can designate certain areas of new patrols as "PvP zones" or something like that

2 AntwortenI like this idea. Maybe to improve, make like an all-out faction warfare type. 6 guardians per faction, to give 18 total guardians. Each starts out somewhere specific; IE one set at skywatch, one set by the divide, one by the normal patrol spawn? But I like the general idea of this.
