I applaud your ability to even finish that piece of shit game.
But I liked every single other one, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Plus it's a different branch of Ubisoft working on this one, and they've been working on it for 3 years. We will see!

I too have liked every single other one. 3 didn't feel right, but it at least progressed the story massively and in an interesting way. 4 was an amazing standalone game despite not progressing the story, but was a world I enjoyed playing in. Unity was the worst out of both of those. The world felt cold and unwelcoming, gameplay was annoying, and both storylines (present and past) sucked utter horse shit.

Yes that all that! For me, gameplay is HUGE I'm video games. that's why I loved Connor and his tomahawk, not to mention the forest setting. Unity just sucked man, I was so pissed about it for the longest time. Like passionately pissed lol. Ubisoft is trying to say the present day shit will matter again. Idk about that but itd be nice. As long as the assassin gameplay is good I'll be happy. Very eager to put the assassin boots back on, it's been too long.

Yea. I'm just worried because this new one looks WAYYY too similar to Unity for its own good. I'll check out reviews for this one before wasting money again. As for how I think they should progress the story… With Minerva on the lose, it would make sense to go back in time to civilizations that worshipped these gods in order to better understand how to defeat her. That means Egypt, Ancient Greece, Aztec, Indian, etc. these civilizations all worship multiple deities that resemble the precursors (Minerva's species)
