Since my light level is considerably low (290) will i be able to do the king's fall raid or do i have to increase it? I keep seeing people asking for 295+ with experience but do any of you guys actually help the first timers with low light level?
Edit: thanks guys for your replies! I'll try to do the raid in a few days from now cause i'm busy and yeah i am currently grinding out vanguard strikes to get rare engrams hoping that they turn out to be 290+ weapons or armor.

Ive ran KF with my warlock twice at 290. You just need to know what you are doing.

290 should be fine, but for sisters/oryx you will need to be 1. Very good and know the mechanics or 2. Get carried, as the enemies there are 300 light (5 light = 1 year 1 level) so you will be 2 levels under them, like a lvl 28 in hard mode VoG, you will find it difficult to kill adds etc. However there is a high chance of getting the ghost shell, heavy weapon, special weapons, armour, in the first parts of the raid. You may well be at 297/8 by the end of the raid.
-
I beat it with my 291 Hunter so as long as you can hold on your own then you be fine.
-
290 is easy for raid man
-
If you can find a team, it won't be bad.
-
I did it at 288 you will be fine
-
1 AntwortenYeah you can start

2 AntwortenNext weekend I'm taking some friends and whoever through the raid. Now will we succeed? Probably not because I hate puzzles. But if you haven't done it by then you're more than welcome to join up. More than likely none of us will have gone through it at the time so don't worry about getting kicked. Just have a mic and only requirement is you have to know the chorus of my heart will go on by celion dion. Last part is a must...not really
-
Really, it's as long as if you can survive and be able to kill things, you have to be able to do damage to bosses
-
You will be fine

I'm 290 and id love to do the raid but everyone wants someone who's done it before and light level 3'000'000

1 AntwortenJust did the raid for first time last night with 5 other people that had a little experience with it (hadn't killed any bosses but had got to warpriest) we got all the way to oryx. All of us were in our mid 290s and we were smashing through the appropriate damage numbers when we did the fights right. Knowing the fight mechanics is what creates success. I think 290 plus is fine. I would have no problem taking someone new but can understand why some people don't want to. Some of these fights require everyone to know every job just in case. We had one that wasn't quite understanding the torn part of sisters (I equate it to being tired because they picked up on every other fight quickly) and it made for alot more failed attempts then we would have had.
-
Yep you can bcuse I'm finish it on 285 light
-
1 AntwortenYeah you can do it if your looking to get higher before you do the raid I suggest court of oryx I went from 289 to 297 to be able to do the raid and the finished out 299
-
2 AntwortenPs4? If so, add me, i'll take you along the ride when my fireteam does it next time.

I would increase, or at least make sure you have a high impact sniper, a good scout and a lmg. Last time I raided I played with all 300+ light and killed every Boss first try and two fazed the war prest. Then we tried running our low lvl characters 285- 295 and we just didn't have the DPS for the war prest. So lvl does matter and I suggest you lvl higher or just have good wepoens, if your lucky you could gain a few lvls in the raid.

I was 289 starting my first raid By the end made it to 292
-
290 is plenty high enough for the raid. As long as all your guns are 290+
-
You can reasonably be expected to hit 295+ Hitting 300+ without the raid takes a lot of grinding/luck
-
I ran strikes and got blues that were over 295-300. Just can't be lazy to grind and expect people to carry you unless your in a clan.
