So I reported someone for cheating
I noticed this a hunter going into his menu in mid super. Shadow shot for days! At least eight time he used it and sky rocketed him to the top in this rumble match. I decided to message him for cheating.
His response and I quote:
[b]"I will message you in a week and tell you I won't get banned"[/b]
This is exactly the scum of this community that needs to get banned
Why do you need to cheat in a non competitive game mode! Or cheat at all!
The sad thing is that he probably won't get banned.

Over 200 replies! And trending.the fact that iron banana was this week only made this worse.
Only 400 replies. Did not expect this at all. Ppl saying it's not cheating and ppl saying it is. I've noticed ppl saying it isn't being very defensive. Bungie may not ban ya but hey let us know if you do to warn others that may be doing it. I think honestly if bungie were more explicit with their stance on this it would make the community be more at ease especially with iron banana. I've ran into this today about 5/6 games and in sometimes in teams of three. Might I say not all hunters are bad I messaged one and he said he was sorry that he was only trying it out. Not even mad.
I wonder if I can get to 1000 replies.

And of course Bungie won't ban him. They'll give him a medal in secret, before telling us all about the 50 bans they've handed out over the last year. You must be new here. I reported someone too. I didn't think it would bother me. But trying to get a team over the line in IB changes me.

I message everyone in a game including the cheater saying "everyone report x for ns glitch. Bungie confirmed perm bans via twitter @deej" Next matches I see them in 21/30 actually stopped cheating. Probably looking on deejs twitter. Out of those receieved 3 sorry emails saying they'll stop, and quite a few others who cheat in a group trying to send me party invites and sending msgs what seem to be them reassuring themselves to not get banned. Well worth it, being able to play IB proper

Lol, eploit while you can. thats what my fireteam says. But i dont like to use it as a way to win. Just a way to fool around once every few matches -

Avoiding a player in matchmaking because of cheating/ glitching/ or unsportsmanlike play works as intended. I can say this with utmost certainty. When I played cod there were tons of glitchers. Reporting someone does next to nothing imo. Avoiding douchebags all together is better. peer2peer is garbage. Need dedicated servers.

15 AntwortenHe's right though. You guys can report all day but until bungie officially comes out and warns against it, no bans will happen. You can post a video of it to bungie and nothing will happpen. Why? Because it's their fault. If reporting makes you feel better go ahead, but you are [b][u][i]wasting your time[/i][/u][/b] in the most literal sense possible.

There is no reason to cheat on this game, seriously if you play at your LEVEL then the game will match you up with people that play at your LEVEL. If you cheat it will only match you with people that play at a higher LEVEL! Aka don't cheat and have fun.
