No trolling, i was genuinely wondering, surely Microsoft have a lot more money than Sony. So how does Sony keep outdoing them in the big deals such as Destiny, Uncharted and now Black Ops 3. It makes no sense to me.

Because -blam!- Bill Gates.

When bungie left mircosoft they didn't leave on good terms so what's why Sony got the exclusive stuff.
-
maybe some things in life is not about pure profit but making customers happy and leaving a legacy of having great games rather than leaving a legacy of greed

1 AntwortenWtf naughty dog has been ps exclusive way before your 8 year old self was probably born
-
3 AntwortenWell PlayStation doesn't have Halo 5 or Quantum Break soooo....
-
4 AntwortenPeople liked the design of the ps4 more (i have no idea why)
-
1 AntwortenSony is just giving more back to their customers than Microsoft.
-
That's why I bought a SEGA.
-
Because The PS4 has 11 million more consoles sold? I dno
-
They went to don't first never even offered it to ms

8 AntwortenHeres how it went down with Destiny: Bungie: Hey microsoft, you've shown us a lot of goodwill throughout the years, and fully backed us while we created the series that made you a force in the gaming world. To return the favor, we wanted to offer you before anyone else exclusive missions, strikes, and gear for our latest gaming venture, destiny! Microsoft: Hell no, we are cheap, ain't nobody got time for that. Bungie: Ok, guess we will ask Sony. Hey Sony, how about it, you in? Sony: Sure!

Because they're willing to pay more for them. It's that simple

It's really not that much extra. It would be different if sony got a timed expansion

1 AntwortenUncharted was always a Sony exclusive -_-
-
Because Sony paid more. Not all of Microsoft's money was made with the Xbox nor does it go into the Xbox, contrary to popular belief.

17 AntwortenBearbeitet von JoeMamasfat: 10/15/2015 3:51:57 PMIf both Sony and Microsoft both wrote their net worth on a check, there is no doubt that Microsoft would be able to write the bigger check. However, this means nothing here. Wall of text warning!
Back when the Xbox One and PS4 were reveiled, both were going to wuth always on DRM policies. So when Microsoft went up forst, they signed their own death certificate. We all agree that always on and other DRM policies don't bode well woth cone gamers. There was immediate backlash. Sony say that and was able to adjust their panel before they went on. Microsoft and upset and even angered a large prion of their player base. More or less forcing them to jump to Sony. That's exactly what happened. With the PS4 now being the dominant console this time around, it's a no brainer that all exclusive deals (e.g. CoD DLC, Destiny, etc) would appear on the PS3 first. In years past, it was that 360 that had more consoles than the PS3. And yet it was to no surprise that the 360 got the exclusive deals, but now everyone is confuse and/or butthurt about it now?
TL;DR It's all about catering to the largest player base. It just happens to be the PS4 this time around. EDIT With that being said...
With more PS4 consoles than Xbox Ones, Sony is potentially making more money from their monthly PSN+ than Microsoft is from their XBL. Knowing that, Sony was and is able to write a bigger check for exclusives. So it also plays off of the return rate.
1 AntwortenDestiny was never supposed to work on playstation, xbox didn't pay bungie to make it an exclusive so Sony tempted bungie and pretty much forced them to make it work on their systems.

Because ms is smart

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
-
Cause they pay and ms doesn't

4 AntwortenDidn't Microsoft pay a fortune for some exclusive GTA stuff?
-
9 AntwortenBecause Sony cares about their brand more than MS
-
Microsoft stated that they want to use their funds more on developing their own ips. Think of xbox division having a set amount of money to invest. The heads of their division have decoded timed exclusive deals are not worth the investment over developing new games and older titles they own.

How exactly is ps beating ms in exclusives? The last guardian, um nty. Uncharted, looks ok but not a console buyer. Shenmue, hahaha phuck no. That one robot dinosaur game looked pretty cool, so I'll give ps one pretty cool exclusive. I am pretty interested in that recore game though and sea of thieves might be fun, so kudos to ms. Halo 5 alone is gonna be way better than anything ps releases anytime soon. Plus gears, might be good. Don't care too much about tomb raider, but I'd say ms has my vote so far.

8 AntwortenMicrosoft is already on top. They have computers, windows, all that jazz. Why fork out more money when you're already making plenty. Honestly from a destiny standpoint though if a company bailed on you, would you still fund them?
