So much butt hurt in one post. You are like the nerdy Mel Gibson from Conspiracy Theory with more grammatical errors. Your run on sentences make me cringe.

4 AntwortenYou really need to work on your definition of pay-to-win if you think paying for dance emotes is the same thing...
-
Ok, so the "starter packs" were datamined. That could mean that they are just all of the items that come when you consume those level 25 consumables. You do get a "starter pack" of sorts of all 130 gear, don't you? Either way, I couldn't care less if they added any of these. The more experienced players will still have their experience, and gear purchased from micro-transactions is worthless in the wrong hands.

2 AntwortenNothing new here, it's been this way for many, many years, even on some AAA fps games not just mmo's and rpg's.

Bearbeitet von Handsome_Bear: 10/15/2015 5:52:47 PMTo OP: your opinion is not the law, you can leave, no one will miss you oh, maybe you can ask your mom for some lunch money to buy the emote where your character shakes in "fear", should fit you well
-
people buying what they want has absolutely zero affect on my gaming choices within a virtual environment have you ever seen war-frames micro-transaction list ? you can get everything on that list without spending a dime ......... boohoo , people are purchasing imaginary items in a videogame ,,,,,,,,,,

It is a very specific and highly-qualified response that is obviously crafted in a manner that would not hinder future pay-2-win concepts from being implemented by Bungie. As such, Asshat's statement is meaningless!

2 AntwortenThere is a difference between play to win and pay to be lazy. Look at warframe. You can buy armor/gun ect. With platnum to have it right away or grind for it. Thoes that grind are proven to be better players through familiarization. So in the end the "Vets" have the advantage. Pay to win would be getting a year 2 gally or some crap only through purchace. This is not the case. Even a drop rate boost is detrimental to learning the patterns and gaining skill. So unless they come out with "paid premium" gear or "VIP" only events i suggest you simmer down. You cant buy skill or experience which in the end is what is needed. So let them rush to lvl 40 310 light only to get the boot and comunity blacklisted for noob mistakes. Its only going to hurt them in the end. TL/DR: Other games (ex warframe) use a similar platform and are completely free with no disadvantage to "free base" players

I don't care if someone can start immediately at level 25 with a fully ranked subclass or not. Quite frankly most people on these forums probably don't either. You can buy a couple of cans of redbull do a bunch of bounties and boom you are leveled up pretty quick. What I do care about are consumables that increase drop chance. Face it at level 40 drops are what you care about not leveling up. Absolutely anything that increases your drop chance for higher light gear I am opposed to. If someone wants to pay to basically catch up to everyone else who cares that's their business. I just don't want them able to pay to pass me up in gear that we as a community have to grind. I won't quite Destiny if they let people buy emotes, shaders, emblems, ships, sparrows or "starter packs" all of these sales are the norm in several other games with no downside. The second I see increased drop rate for cash I will be gone though. Don't care what activity it is tied to or what drop it increases. I know this is still technically "pay to win" but it's on the side I personally can deem acceptable.

6 AntwortenAnyone who still believes this is a moron. Lol

He made one thing clear about the consumables though and that it was never going to be purchased with silver, and hopefully the community would be smart enough not buy them with real money just for a higher chance at better gear.
-
This isn't Pay2Win anymore than League of Legends or DoTA 2 are Pay2Win. Get over yourselves.

1 AntwortenShutup and play the game, you're going to, everyone plays the shit out of this game, but then feels the need to bash the developer like they owe you something, get real. Frankly i enjoy it alot, doesn't mean i have to pay more. If someone wants to ruin there experience and lvl to 25, which they already can, let them affects me nor anyone else but them selves none.
-
3 AntwortenYou know weapon skins, sparrow skins, character reskins, custom ghost skins, and conversions of this sort are probably viewed as "consumables." Let's not get all cray-cray.
-
2 AntwortenWhat if the raid drop boosters hadnt been released yet because they were waiting until they opened Hard mode? Nobody wants to grind hard mode and come out empty-handed im sure. But im in agreement w no pay2win on Destiny. Not that anyone cares but i too will be peacing out at that point. I have money to buy whatever id want on there, but it takes away nearly every purpose of PVE to give these things away for real life currency. Just my $0.02
-
I hope by consumable they mean something like Jackolyte which was purely cosmetic. I love Destiny and Bungie but if they do some pay-to-win shit I'm going to boycott this game like hell.
-
You consumers think that you can dictate what a multimillion (billions?) company will or won't do with their product? Silly rabbits... Perhaps you've underestimated the power of the darkside.
-
10 AntwortenIf we do what this very upset individual says then by the end of year 2 there will be no more new players. Why? Because they will have to buy a game and grind for 3 weeks just to be able to play easy mode stuff. They should sell the starter packs and let these NEW players fit the bill for the future expansions duh. Please stop supporting people that are such extremists that they can't take the bad with the good. EverVerse is a really good idea.
-
I,would be okay with the raid drop buff if they did it in game. Every time you complete a raid without getting a raid item, you would get a raid token. 3 to 5 raid tokens will purchase a buff.

Thanks Anatamize. You deserve a lot of credit for this thread.

Never will I ever win another dance off again stupid pay to win
sike once guns become purchasable thats when it becomes pay to win, get ot right
6 Antwortenlove how to put words in his mouth.. he didnt say they no longer have plans for it.. he said they have NO plans for it and ARE NOT doing it this topic is getting insanely stupid... now you guys are going on like you made some moral victory here? pathetic

Bearbeitet von Co1d Night: 10/15/2015 3:26:20 PMThe community did nothing! A shitstorm started over something that had no viable proof what-so-ever and Bungie came out to shed light on the issue. The only thing this community did was flood the forums with stupid posts.

I agree to an extent. Pay-to-win is definitely unacceptable but offering boosts to get to the good stuff faster shouldn't really affect you if you don't want them. A lot of people have jobs with outrageous hours, families to tend to, crazy social lives, etc etc and can't always play the game the way it was meant to be played. I'm not sure about your situation but, for someone like me, I work a steady job, have no kids, and I'm married to a girl that doesn't pay the length of my game time any mind. I can grind these things however I need to so it doesn't phase me or hurt my experience. I think it's reasonable enough to let the family-having, working-class, and generally busy men and women in on the fun without the pain of the grind. Just my two cents. Good points otherwise though.

Considering how unreliable the moldering shards are I could not see paying real money for a "chance" at increased drops. That would be like going to the casino. As far as the rest of it goes, none of it impacts me thus far. If people are on a time budget but want to enjoy the late game content more, I suppose this gives them a time saver option. Battlefield 3 and I think 4 had it as well. Remember, shortcuts only can hurt the experience for the user themselves. A game like this is all about the hunt and discovery as well as the cooperative experience.
