This is the expected behavior for PlayStation 4 downloads. However, we are still investigating the reports from some players that they are being required to re-download the full 18 GB. Please give it time to work through the download process. As noted above, the way the PlayStation 4 handles downloads is slightly different than some players may expect. The download bar may say that is "Preparing to Download" for a while, but as long as progress is being made, please try to continue the download normally. • As noted above, if you encounter the "corrupted data" error message or a console error code during the download, please stop or delete the download, clear your console cache, and then try again. 35 AntwortenBearbeitet von ExToastynator: 10/13/2015 7:53:21 PM|||| MY SOLUTION ||| At the beginning i had to dowload the 18 GB update but after a while i changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and to 8.8.4.4 and my MTU to 1473 . after that i stoped my download for 10 sek and than it prepares the download for about 5 min and than it shows 17.7 / 18.121 I am lucky now hope it helps you guys :D

I am not sure what action did really fixed it but bellow are the steps i followed : 1/ Cancel the update download 2/ Delete the game from the HDD 3/ Go to PSN account => restore licences 4/ Network Setting => make a new automatic setting (i didn't change anything about DNS) 5/ Manage to get 37GB Free space on the HDD (i remember the PS3 did like to have twice the space of a file in order to unpack it and this update is 18GB x2 = 37GB) 6/ power off the console 7/ unplug power cord for a minute in order to clear cache 8/ replug 9/ restart the console 10/ let the disc install the basic 17GB file of the game 11/ at the same time the 1.17 update is starting to download from zero (ie : means i had to download the entire 18GB update) => i let the console in rest mode during the download since i was at work during this step 12/ Back at home, the 1.17 is fully installed and the game is running fine now ! Hope it will help :D

Ya this is crap ive had to download this twice now this is just messed up plus i have gigabit conection and its saying 84 min. Thats just crap all other downloads i get happen in 5 min tops. I love destiny but the downloads piss me off

Also, this is the first Time I put a Destiny Disc into my System. It's the new Edition with Destiny on Disc and the DLC which, I think will Download if I'm able to start the Game, if this will happen in the near future. I downloaded these hilarious 18 Gigs two times now for about 15 hours. I always get the Error after 14 Gigs. Reading about the solutions, tried the Bungie solutions which was as good as nothing. Reading other solutions here: I don't want to do any of these steps just to play this Game. I mean, we paid money for it so we don't wanna play Gambling here. Maybe it works, maybe it doesen't. That's not how it works. This Problem is now about 2 days old? And there simply is no solution in sight it seems. I don't know if Bungie or Sony messed up, but if the Problem isn't solved in the upcoming days, my Destiny career is over and I will gladly return the Game to the Shop I bought it. I don't want sound dramatic, but I will not again load anything this big only to receive an Error.

Yep. Took all afternoon to update to end up disappointed seeing what it was. Tired of the nurfs.. tired of busting my butt and burning what little game time I get to obtain an item for it to become cheap and worthless. Aaahhh.. the good old days of pocket infinity and others. Instead of cheating us out of the good ones, why not make them harder to get? Make it worth it for the hard effort? Don't think it's fair but just like the caves, also goes the guns. Dying light took a cheap shot to point it out also. Ha. Just my 2 cents.

Well on the bright side 11/10/15 is right around the corner. I will have Fallout 4 and no longer have to put up with Bungivision's bullshit. If any Fallout modders are on this forum please make Last Word and Gally for FO4, then I will have no reason to return to Destiny.

Been trying to dowload for 14 hours now,every time is the same 20 minutes prepare download.only to get the corrupted data when dowload is suppose to start but are not.have stopped the download and cleared the cache,it does not work. so question is what do i have to do??this is on ps4

I have to wait 6 hours to download stuff I already downloaded for a patch that is not even labeled correctly. This is ridiculous and needs to be sorted very quickly.
