(This does not include the flawless chest)
I am surprised this hasn't been brought up yet.
The recommended light level for this activity is 290. You are required to infuse the gear before you can even use it in the game mode it drops for. This is end game content and should drop end game quality gear.
Thoughts?

Insaneshane10 hit it spot on
"Trials is the like the raid for pvp players. The raid drops 300+ gear and weapons. Therefore it makes sense for trials to do the same"
Edit: There have been some of you saying 280 is a placeholder and not there actual drop value. I hope this is accurate and my concerns are misplaced.
Edit: The link no longer works. It appears they removed these items from the armory.

Yea, you'll probably need to go flawless. The lighthouse chest most likely drops them at 300-310

4 AntwortenIf all ToO gear is random drops like the raid then I am all for them dropping at 310, or up to 310. If ToO gear is a guaranteed drop at 310 all the time, then hells no! I have been through the raid 12 times and no raid helmet if some pvp scumbag just need to go flawless and get a 310 hemet, chest, legs and arms in one go then that is some bs.

1 AntwortenDon't use the Armoury as a measure of the IB gear drops. The Armoury shows all year-2 Legendary armour at 280. Thats just the base defense rating and as you know all the other Legendary armour can drop at various levels. Such panic, tsk.
-
I knew trials gears better than other gears. Trial gears had 3 different perks like exotic but other legendary gears that had is limit 2 perks. I am looking forward what kind of weapons they have..
-
3 AntwortenIt worked the same way in how. I see no problem with it.
-
Wasn't the only way to get level 34 gear set of trials was to either buy it or get it from the flawless chest. Drops between games wouldn't let you hit 34 unless you used etheric light. I totally agree that trials should be the same level as the current raid.
-
4 Antwortenthat gear will drop during the matches of ToO, 310 gear will be available at the lighthouse.
-
1 Antworten280 is the base yes. Can roll with higher if i heard correctly

This is just pathetic. Bungie made this mistake with the very first iron banner and quickly rectified their stupidity...it seems they may have forgotten

1 Antwortenpvp doesn't need top end gear.
-
IB should be 290-300 Raid should be 290-310 Hard Raid and Trials should be 300-310(or new level cap)

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von OuroborosWrath: 10/13/2015 6:01:25 PMI'll hit the spot for the PvE perspective. Trials in the past has garunteed a pieve of armour for 5 wins. My Hunter has done the raid 4 times and only recieved 3 pieced of armour which I got in the last two attempts. By those odds the raid gives me armour at a 50% rate. As long as you get 5 wins, trials is a 100% rate. So bungie balanced RNG in the raid with the light level for Trials. This also considering Raid was in Vanilla and Dark Below and Trials didn't show up till late in House of Wolves. Face it Trials isn't End Game material it's just another competitive mode meant to keep PvP players happy. P.S. I killed Skolas at least a dozen times and recieved ZERO elemental primaries. Went flawless 4-5 times and recieved an elemental primary EVERY TIME. Trials practically gives away rewards to people while the raid isn't as forgiving.
no need to enter the crucible because it seems someone has already sent you home crying.
EDIT: I'm just gonna edit this before someone gets butthurt. I'm trying to be reasonable as to why Trails isn't 300 light gear. It is simply for forgiving in rewards unlike the raid.
-
It should be at least 300.

11 AntwortenWould be far too easy if gear was higher, no one would raid, just wait for trials, would be FAR to easy to rank up! At least they have learned for their mistakes with the Fallen DLC, getting 365 gear from trials was far too easy, and unfair on PVE players. Nothing should be easier to obtain in PVP than it is in PVE
-
Well that's disappointing because trials is what helped me reach 34 in HoW but seeing as the ony viable gun was the messenger who cares
-
I don't really care. I just want it for the look. I really want those shaders thoufh
-
I'm sure we'll get rewards that are actually good and higher light as we get more wins on the passage and especially when we make it to the lighthouse.
-
USMC would make you pos Pvp nerf wanting virgins chit your shorts when a real muzzle is shoved up your nose and the trigger pulled with no hesitation. Crucible is Virgins proving how scrubby they truly are. Wolves don't give a chit about a Pvp sheep's opinion.

You gotta beat the raid for gear. So waot to see what the flawless chesr can drop. Flawless trials = beating the raid
-
3 Antworten>assuming it drops at 280 You realize that those number are like an average right ? It says that Darkblade helmet drops at 280, but I'll be damned if it hasn't dropped at higher light levels.
-
10 AntwortenBecause light level doesn't matter in PvP lol
-
3 AntwortenThere is the possibility that the gear you can BUY is at 280 but the gear that DROPS may still be between 280-300. Just like buying a vanguard weapon or armor will have a base of 280 but if you get one out of a reward package it could have a higher damage/defense stat.
-
5 AntwortenMy opinion on trials gear is that it should drop at a max of 300. That way it is almost equivalent to raid gear, but if you want max level, you still have to do the raid.
-
I'd want only 300+ stuff to drop only from mercury. The packages can be 290-300.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Fawkes: 10/13/2015 4:41:29 PMTrails Guns Drop at that level too, but a flawless run nets a 310. Nothing wrong with that system. Raid gear has the potential to drop higher than 300. It's not a guarantee due to rng. Why all the frustration? Do you not have extra gear to level your new gear past 280 ? This is destiny and all they want us to do is grind. Nothing new there.
