IB and Trials are right around the corner. But...
There's still so many people relying on their year 1 crutches in PvP? Tell me how your FWL (or any shotgun with Shotpackage) or messenger are going to fair come tuesday? Don't get so upset when u can no longer get easy kills. Prepare yourself now.
Edit. It seems that some people think equipping a year one weapon and only dropping their light level to 290+ will still do max damage. I am 99% positive that is incorrect. That 170 weapon will still hit like a 170 weapon even if your light level is almost 300. But I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

The majority of you got my point. (Select few should probably move out of your grandma's basement) But I'm with the people that say a 170 attack weapon will do damage as such. It doesn't matter if all your other gear is 310 and your total light level is 300. Recommended light for NF is 290. I can be a 290 with a Gally equipped. But that bitch hits like a BB gun because it's attack value is 170.. u can't magically raise your year one values based off your total light level. If I get killed by a 170 weapon tomorrow then I'll apologize.

2 AntwortenI wouldn't say that everyone of them are relying on them. Maybe they just get taken out of the vault for a quick joyride. I recently dusted of my Dead Air 09F3. A blue pulse rifle, but what a beauty in PvP. Or my first handcannon ever the good old the devil you know. Shit perks for PvP, but hey the old lady wants to see the world sometimes, what can you do? It's like saying everyone using blue weapons sucks. Maybe we just want to mix up things a bit sometimes. Crucible is the only place to do so. You can't even go on patrol anymore with low light level gear or you will get rekt by the taken. Not everyone uses year one weapons because their OP. Some use them for sentimental reasons or just to have some fun.

5 AntwortenThe question is just how much of a handicap it is. If my Thorn needs one more shots and that's it, I will use it just to annoy other people. I'd probably get a full Thorn fireteam together if the handicap is manageable.

You are correct about the damage But people on Ps3, prepare yourself for the shotgun that will take over the felwinter, the Conspiracy Theory-D from the quest, huge range, and rangefinder... and 300 attack, jesus this is gonna be fun...

I'm moving onto year 2 gear... I need to keep my light lvl as high as possible since I'm not that good in pvp - fortunately I found special weapons that have the same style stats as my year 1 crucible favs and my new fav in heavy and primary are really working wonders for me so I'm prepared to have some FUN!!!

Conspiracy theory d is a year 2 and it has comparable if not identical range to party and matador (fwl is pretty old tech dude, keep up with the meta). Also, adapt > bitch

Red Death, Hawkmoon, Imago Loop, or Vanguard vendor pulse. Conspiracy Theory-D, 1K Yd stare, Crucible Sniper (not the vendor version), or FWC fusion rifle (range finder and a stability perk). Ruin Wake, Bolt Castor, FWC vendor Rocket, or Truth. There will always be good weapons to choose from - most players will easily adapt.

This game will always be -blam!-ed. Patching out shotpackage wont do a damn thing for the shotguns in these cqc crazy maps. Bungie pissed me off so bad with how shite the maps are.

5 AntwortenWhat people don't get is 5 points is the difference in a whole level from before ttk. So going against a 305+ as a 290 is like going against a 37 as a 34. You won't do shit.
