Lost Sols banned again. Ninja bullshit.
Yep. [i]This time[/i], he was banned for responding to someone calling him a douchebag with - and I kid-you-not - "Aw, did baby have a poopie?"
Ninja Justice? For [i]that[/i]? I understand Bungie reserves the right to ban anyone for pretty much [i]any[/i] reason, but c'mon.
Look into this, Cozmo. You have access to the transcripts. Show us you're not impotent, and that overzealous Ninja's who make poor decisions can have those decisions reviewed and reversed.
"Poopie." Really? Give me a god-damn break.
Edit: So the real test of the Ninja's is whether they ban the nasty troll in [i]this[/i] thread.

If you fire back and get into an Internet slap fight with someone then the most likely outcome is that you both will be punished. "They started it first" "What they said was way worse" "What about this one post I saw this one time?" None of these examples excuse anyone for breaking the Code of Conduct. You are responsible for your own actions. Let the Ninjas worry about handling those breaking the rules. There is a ton of traffic on this site so it's impossible for our Ninjas to read every single post and comment so they rely heavily on user reports. So if you see something breaking the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/View/bungie/conduct]Code of Conduct[/url] report it. Be excellent to each other and you will have nothing to worry about.

Honestly, it does seem like the bans are a little unequal, however as Cozmo said if you insult someone or say rude things you should be ready to face the consequences. That being said if I ever fall prey to fanboys and start calling someone a name and saying stupid things, I would expect to get in trouble too.

I'm no fan of Lost Sols, but policing the forums with an iron fist is not a solution. If it is a blatant threat, I get it. If it was a disrespectful comment that got him banned then shame on both Lost Sols and the ninja alike. If you take everything you read on the internet personal then you don't belong anywhere around an internet connection. If you cater to those who fall into this category then you belong nowhere near a position of power. This is what ignore and mute features were designed for. It should be a ninja's job to reiterate that message to those who felt disrespected enough to report someone. A ban is not the only resolution to a problem.
