Unfortunately I can't take my xbox with me when I go away as we have a strict weight allowance for our baggage and I wouldn't trust my xbox to survive a helicopter journey. Also I'm not super worried about getting it first time, my main concern is never getting it because the 1 day it falls on I am away from home. Because there is no consistency or schedule for these special missions its entirely possible I could be away from home every single time they release the mission again.

So the problem is the randomness of the dailies. Not sure what can be done about that. Maybe an in game currency earned for running strikes that allows you to unlock any daily when you have earned enough. Problem is though. Very few people are in this situation. So not likely to happen. Honestly any mmo is going to be hard to keep up with when you are unable to play for days or weeks at a time. I think your going to have to take it or leave it my friend. On the plus side i have some family and friends that work oil rigs. ...and with the price of oil a lot of them are out of work entirely. At least you don't have that problem.

Thats true mate, thankfully I'm on the safety side of things which is a legal requirement in the North sea so I have peace of mind but the oil drop really has hit a lot of others hard. The suggestion you make is good, I would pay legendary marks in order to play the limited daily missions for sure. You are right, most people don't have this problem, but a good few people in my clan are in similar situations with working at a mine / in the army etc. I don't expect this problem to be addressed any time soon, I just wanted to raise awareness through this post in the hope that bungie would see and consider doing something to help out myself and others.
