So I really like the idea of including secret missions into destiny in order to unlock cool gear however I'm not a fan of the special daily missions, mainly because I simply cannot play every day. My job requires me to go offshore onto oil rigs fairly frequently to perform inspections, this means I have periods where I have no access to my xbox. Previously, apart from the usual weekly loot, the only thing I missed out on whilst offshore was xur, I taught my girlfriend how to buy stuff from xur specifically to mitigate this problem in-case he sold something I needed.
However these secret daily missions are really frustrating for me as I am loosing out on cool content in the game with no real way of ever getting it again. You say in your weekly update that the first firewall mission will come back in time but exactly when?
Destiny is literally the only game I have played for the last year, I have invested so much time into this game (4000+ grimoire) and I hate feeling like having a job handicaps me in the game.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this concern.
My suggestion would be to allow these secret daily missions to be repayable through the regular menu's. Limit the exclusive loot to once per character, this would mean only people playing catch up would benefit from this.
Anyone who agrees please bump so that bungie may see this.
Thank you.
[EDIT] A suggestion from one of the guys below was to introduce these special missions as quests - to me this seems like a very simple and effective solution. The quests can be timelocked by bungie as the missions currently are, however this would allow people to complete them in there own time.
[EDIT] Taking from others ideas I reckon introducing it as a quest line 1 week or so later would keep everyone happy. All the "if you can't make it onto destiny every day then you don't deserve it" people would have the prestige in owning it first and the "casuals" would know for certain they will be able to complete the missions to in the future.

True dedication is teaching your girlfriend how to buy from Xur haha that's awesome
-
I agree. My job forces me to go out of town often and I almost missed the daily chance for the black spindle but was able to get back in time (around midnight) go finish it. It needs to be changed

25 AntwortenIf you have enough time to have a 4000 grimoire score then certainly you have time to do a simple mission which really only takes 10 minutes to do which can be done before or after work.
-
9 AntwortenDon't worry Skolas will talk to Bungie yes? But do kell of kells a favor, make my exotic weapons even more powerful in year two.
-
Its easy. Do this special mission later when it comes back.
-
It's tough to balance work, family, responsibilities and videogames. That is just how it is.You are not "missing out on cool content" if you eventually get it. You must just be "waiting for your shot at cool content".
-
11 AntwortenYou should get a portable system.
-
They need to increase the difficulty. Black spindle was awesome don't get me wrong but if they are going to be available the whole timer gently should work for it.
-
Bungie did state the special missions will be in rotation more often then the others.
-
But as far as xur goes I think you should be able to buy things of the app, it makes sence!
-
I work at least 5 days a week and at least 12 hours a day. I still manage to find time when I come home from work. It took me 2 attempts to get black spindle it wasn't hard so about 30 minutes i would just say it's about balancing your time. The certain dailys that rewards these guns and chests etc come around more than once. There will be other times to get them.

I have a full time job, a part time job, and a family. I get on when I have time, not when they release a special quest for "a limited time". I will continue to play whether I get The Sleeper or not, it would be nice as a quest though. And for all the ASSHATS that think " everyone should have time to get on whenever", not all of us have that luxury. Some of us have SCHEDULES to keep and RESPONSIBILITIES.

4 AntwortenWhat daily secret missions?
-
Who?..... CARES!!!
-
1 AntwortenThe Sleeper Simulant sucks. You aren't missing anything.
-
-
Do you play on xb1?
-
I still had the mission today. So it doesn't seem like you had to get it all in one day.
-
Hahaha glad I'm a no life :D
plz save me
-
Simply no. The reason they are a good fun surprise is because it's a race to get it done that day.
-
3 AntwortenJust so you guardians know, you can have one of your friends who already did the firewall mission to load it up for you so you can complete it. I'm still with OP on making them quest
-
5 AntwortenBUMP this is bullshit. I hated the idea of content being locked by the daily. Just another way Bungie uses to manipulate it's fanbase into playing more. I work two jobs and the LAST thing i want to do is check what the daily is, *just incase!*. I just want to sleep, your situation is worse than mine but regardless it blows either way.

Such is life, you miss you and life goes on.
-
18 AntwortenIt sucks that you cant play as much as everyone else. However, the game should not be made easier to accommodate casuals. This is why games like WoW now suck.
-
5 AntwortenIf you do not log on for that day you should recieve a quest for that mission. Then, once that person logs on if they do not complete it in 24 hours it goes away
-
it should at least go into abandoned quests
