I won't speak for the community, but we have to make a response to this ASAP.

Don't buy them if you don't want them.

I'm going against my gut & saying I may welcome this move. I've always hated the very existence of micro-transactions but I can't help but notice how the release of TTK has split the community, with those who are day one Guardians but haven't bought it yet (for whatever reason) finding themselves left behind and feeling very bad about it. If micro-transactions for cosmetic items only can fund future expansions, which will then be enjoyed by everyone, then I welcome them. In fact, I may buy a couple of emotes every time a new expansion releases. Just to do my bit. It could be the way to go.

20 AntwortenI don't mind them as long as they stay cosmetic. If they start letting you boost or get weapons and stuff... Then we may have a problem.

1 Antworten
Our plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we’ll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.
I'll wait till the 13th pops around. Staying neutral until I know what we're dealing with

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Sixclicks: 10/6/2015 2:37:47 PMA bunch of teens will always vote against microtransactions or subscriptions simply because they don't have income to afford any of it. When I was younger I used to be all against subs and MTs as well, but now that I'm older and am working, a couple dollars here and there for a good product is nothing. As long as the MTs remain cosmetic and don't affect the game at all like they've said, then there is literally nothing to bitch about besides just bitching for the sake of bitching.
-
It depends. If it means the DLC will be free, or at least cheaper, I'm willing to put forth a couple of dollars for some Silver. If the DLC pricing remains the same, and they just throw on the micro transactions, then no. They can stick their emotes up their ass.
-
If this EVER translates to buying weapons/game unlocks, I'm out. Otherwise, we are all good.
-
As long as they stay purely cosmetic, I'm fine with it.
-
And mute
-
I am unsure about this Too early to tell
-
I have no issue with this provided nothing affects gameplay. Sure people will complain anyway because "it should be free!" but lets be serious here, they would not create these for free and would just never bother with them if they couldn't make money off it (hell, they are a company and need to pay their employees) The moment they start selling the equivalent of Gally, I'm out.

Anyone who believes they won't expand silver beyond aesthetic items is dillusional. Give it a month or two. Watch the bad kids spend there parents money...watch them expand upon this sinister plan... Be disgusted
-
Lol... How much money did they make off this game? And as stated previously, this won't be the end of micro transactions in the game... Give a hand and they'll take an arm... But the fan boys will keep this wreck afloat. GG Bungie.
-
Why can't anyone read
-
13 AntwortenI don't like it because I know for a fact it wont stay to only buying emotes. It'll start out like that then it'll be for weapons and armour pretty soon. So that'll be another reason for bungee to suck out our money. Destiny is a money pit.
-
Bearbeitet von ZeroBlackHawk: 10/6/2015 2:12:15 PMWait til they introduce gold and platinum... What will they cost and what will it cost for the emotes for them.? I'm not really sure about micro-transaction.
-
Purely cosmetic items are fine because they are a company and need to generate money for future content but it ever gets into paying for gear or anything other than vanity items I will be against it
-
I honestly don't care.
-
Just as long as they don't do like NBA 2K did with their Virtual Currency. First it started out as being able to buy headbands and shoes and stuff. Next thing you know, you could buy your way to 99 OVR and destroy people in MyPark.
-
We Have to make a response? Wtf are you talking about? Lol
-
10 Antwortenyou're and idiot. its only for silver to buy emotes. they have absolutely no impact on game play whatsoever. which they made perfectly clear. stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.
-
If it's purely cosmetic stuff like emotes I really don't care
-
1 AntwortenSleeper Simulant location discovered.
-
we have to make a response to this ASAP.
no.. we really dont... lol
-
Do micro transactions ruin games? They can, if the company goes overboard or makes it possible to -buy- actual useful items. I don't think this particular development will ruin anything, and even though generally I'm against micro transactions, if one of the emotes IS funny enough I'll prob end up buying it.
