You mean the series that pretty much formed first person shooters into what they are today? Oh and don't forget single handily turning the Xbox into a success.

Half life formed fps games into what they are today not halo buddy, BTW huge halo fan here been playing since the first can't wait for 5 not trying to say it sucks I even enjoyed 4 aswell

Goldeneye set the stage for console FPS and Halo perfected it. Halo 2 set the standard for online console games play. Counterstrike and Half Life were the FPS for PC. Though I would say Half Life is more renowned for its physics engine than anything else.

I admit that Halo 1 was revolutionary, but each one after that has been the same generic piece of trash. And there's no way Halo single handedly made the Xbox a success. It would've done just fine without it.

They're trash because they claimed they would make the Halo franchise better, but they -blam!-ed it up with Halo 4, and they're going to -blam!- it up again with Halo 5.

That's your opinion. Many people didn't like Halo 4 because it was a lot different, but it was by no means bad. They did not cut any content or lack any story. You should wait to see Halo 5 for yourself before you judge it.

Think of another game that would've made the Xbox successful. Microsoft has said it before that without halo the Xbox would've done poorly.

Call of Duty, Fable, Forza, GTA, etc. I don't think that Xbox would've done poorly without Halo, but I think it would've taken a bit longer to be as popular as it is today without Halo.

Some of those are for both consoles(idk about fable), halo is exclusive.
