Use them at the beginning of a strike because the longer they're activated the better chance you have

If you use them at the beginning then some will count towards tank and valus bosses.. my method works fine... there's a 15 min cool down.

They don't work on the tank

I know.. last week before the fix if you were facing the tank and you're coin was on when you beat it.. it would count as a ultra and take you're coin.. that's wht I'm getting at.. I know they don't work on them.

They only count toward end boss unless it's shield brothers

Works for shield bros too ... They count as two ultras

I use 15 minute rule.. works fine for me I've scored a bunch of 310 exotics but hey its all preference if you ask me..
