Just wondering, is the XB1 backwards compatible? The mrs and i loved certain games on the 360 and want to play them again, plus we loved GoW and want the new version of that - hence thinking the XB1.
Thanks in advance folks.

Youre gonna have to wait till November. Sometime in November is when they make it backwards compatible. When that happens, they'll add 100 games every month to the list. Hope this helps.

Bearbeitet von Nickel7Dime: 10/5/2015 9:22:32 PMThere is a constantly growing list of backwards compatible games, this list can be found on the xbox website, however they are not quite yet backwards compatible (i think the update for it comes out around November or Early December), however even when the update is out not every game will work (just like going from original xbox to xbox360), however pretty much all of the most popular games will be there. If you get into the preview program then there are already a select few games that you can play (mass effect, gears of war 1, perfect dark zero, etc), the full list can easily be found through google (i believe it is on the xbox sight as well). Finally the way it is going to work is that if you have the physical disc you must put the disc in your xbox one and it will download the game, after that the disc must be put in whenever you want to play (the disc basically just acts like a key), if you have the game digitally on your account from your 360, then the xbox one will download a digital version of the game. Before you ask, the preview program is a group of xbox one owners who are basically the live testers of future updates, and the way to get in is either to be invited by Microsoft directly, or someone in the program must invite you (however they have been greatly cutting back on letting people in, even if they are invited by a current member).

3 AntwortenFor anyone answering, is it disc or just digital downloads?

Bearbeitet von PKun, Grey Knight: 10/5/2015 7:30:35 PMIt will have backwards compatability available for all Xbox One players starting in November.
-
1 AntwortenIt will be in November, but only for a limited selection of games. There is a list somewhere. This might increase. There are currently quality issues with the emulation. My advice: keep your 360 like I did. You won't get much for it and it'll mean you don't wear out your xbone if you were to play older games.

2 AntwortenCertain games will be backwards compatible not all, if you wanto play 360 games on the Xbox1 just link them up, srsly they've had that since day one, you can play ALL your 360 games through the xb1 but again.. it requires a 360 to be connected to it
-
It isn't at the moment, but will be within a month or two
-
It launches to the public in November, and if you buy Gow:UE before the end of the year MS will later this year give out all the Gow games for free via digital download. And certain games will be BC but likely the most popular 360 titles.
-
November, just you wait

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Reign of Bane: 10/3/2015 5:30:29 PMThere will be 100 available to use on launch in November (no date confirmed). If you have access to the preview program you can play a limited variety now. Except games for the original Kinect there is no game that isn't backwards compatible from 360. Those that you can access you can also play online. If you have Ultimate Gears you get the all four of the original games (digital) to download for free (if you didn't have them anyway) once BC launches. =}

Bearbeitet von SILEN7 KILLER90: 10/5/2015 9:49:51 AMXbox One will be backwards compatible on November 20th unless they delay it. They should bring back indie games like CMW.

3 AntwortenGoW is that gears or god?
-
They said that the Backwards Compatibility patch will come out in approximately November. Gears of War is already BC for preview members
-
So far, Gears of War, some arcade games, and Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 are BC. Also anything from Rare Replay.
-
Not all games will be available. It all depends on the devs. Microsoft did say though all 1st party games should be bc.
-
The first gears of war is backwards compatible or will be when the thing is fully out
-
They are adding backward compatibility in November. It will just be an update so any Xbox One now will support it then.
-
Certain games will be backwards compatible in November. Eventually, almost all games will be backwards compatible.
-
3 AntwortenIts 100 games by Xmas. I think that's enough to keep players interested
-
It is not fully backwards compatible; there are only limited games that are compatible with it when it launches. Check the list to see if the games you want are on the list.
-
1 AntwortenYeah it's backwards compatible but it won't be out for the public just yet. Only people that have it are the ones in the preview program, we are like the beta testers for Xbox.
-
2 AntwortenNo, it will be in a few months but only with 100 games from the start
-
It's going to be.

It is kinda not fully but will be sorta Not 100% on the subject but it will be cool.
