I'm a little older than your average gamer, mid 40's approx. Recently someone told me that I should give it up and do something a little more age appropriate. It was after a game of crucible and this little person seems to think that I'm a little bit over the hill to be playing Destiny. I give this person zero credibility cuz more than likely it was past their bedtime. What are your thoughts?
P.s. Despite everything, I really enjoy the game
It is very awesome to see the replys, thank you. Time to go and school the next generation.

There is an 80 year old who still plays battlefield. No one is too old to enjoy a game

2 AntwortenI am 52, been married 27 years. My gamer score is over 52000, wife's is over 56000. We have a gaming area set up with 3 Xbox systems two 42" and a 60" TV. And one in the bedroom on a 42". We play to release tension from the day and good family time. Play with my grown kids online. Never too old. Never give up Never surrender

4 AntwortenYou know what? F**k em! I'm 40 and I'm a clan leader. Guys our age invented gaming so the young punks can go pack sand! *shakes fist in a menacing, "get off my lawn" gesture* Keep on pulling the trigger I say!

Dude, our generation INVENTED GAMING. Then, when Atari hit the skids- Our generation went on and INVENTED IT ALL OVER AGAIN! From a Vic 20 to PS4 via all the consoles and computers in between I have been gaming since 1984 and am looking forward to VR next with oculus and Morpheus etc next. You're never too old to do anything.

Netflix n chill NEVER TO OLD FOR GAMING

1 AntwortenI'm 35, most of my friends are between 25 and 40. Honestly I think that's because we grew up with Nintendo and atari. If that stuff came out in the 60s you'd see older people on. I'll play until I can't see or are too arthritic to use a controller. Quite honestly I couldn't give a shit less what some squeaker thinks about that

2 Antworten52 and no end in the future! It's a fight with my son to see who gets to play sometimes. Wife wishes I would quit...I wish she would just get me another beer.

Never too old.

1 AntwortenYou're only too old when they pull the controller from your cold, lifeless hands.
-
NEVER!!!!

Dude you are never too old. Gaming has never meant to be for a specific age group. That's why we have different ratings. I have been gaming sense 3 and I'm in my 20s now. When I retire I won't be depressed or start to forget. My mind gonna be busy remember stuff and exploring those sweet 3D environments of the future.

Do what you have fun doing no matter how old you are and to hell with everyone that doesn't agree, chances are they are nothing special either and what they consider fun is probably stupid to other people. My advice "-blam!- em and drive on" I'll play video games forever, it keeps me out of trouble, saves me tons of money, and keeps me from interacting with idiotic people in real life.

There will never be a too old for gaming rule like there used to be in the past. It has become as much mainstream part of our culture as going to the movies or building model planes, golfing or any entertainment activity you can think of. In fact its now bigger than Hollywood in terms of the budgets and revenues. As long as you have fun doing it and it doesn't impact your life in negative ways, who cares how old you are?
-
If there's anything the gaming community can agree on its that gaming is awesome and no one is to old for it.
-
If it's something you love to do then you're never too old. Play until you lose interest, and if that never happens keep on trucking and do what makes you happy. Don't let children tell you how to live your life. School their asses and do what makes you happy.

2 AntwortenOldest gamer i knew was 2 years shy of 70. Don't know what point you're trying to make, but ill give you an answer nonetheless: You're only too old when you're dead, and even then you'll be playing in the afterlife.

It's not 46......I'll check next year

1 AntwortenI think the real question is: When are you old enough, either in years or maturity, to be allowed to join the international gaming community?
-
57 here and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

2 Antworten53 years old, still gaming. Own a PS4, Xbox One, AND a WII U. Happily married, 3 kids all in their 20s that graduated from college or joined the service. Tell 'em to kiss your old rosy a$$. :-)
