Yr 2 weapons suck in pvp
So we are forced to use yr 2 weapons because we can not fuse yr 1 stuff. I hate this because all the yr 1 stuff is way better with way better perks. For pvp nothing manacles made warlock gernades worth something in voidwalker. But besides that, whenever I play elimination or any pvp for that matter, everyone is using the same yr 1 snipers and yr 1 shotguns with the exception of a handful of players. What does that say about yr 2 weapons. If we are forced to use yr 2 stuff in pve, why not make a damage drop off with yr 1 weapons in pvp? Just goes to show that new stuff isn't always better. Let me fuse my yr 1 gear and I'll take over yr 2 any day.
Let me explain this a little better. Yr 1 armor is better hands down. Yr 2 primaries are over better weapons, but secondary yr 1 stats are better than yr 2. IE, the aimed assist on shadow of veils or efrideets speer is better than 1000 yard stare and the range on yr 1 shotguns out gun yr 2 shotguns w the exception of chaperone.
Now I'm not saying that I use yr 1 gear only. I use yr 2 gear but it drives me nuts when I'm out shotgunned by a felwinters. We both hit each other, but I die and his health goes down.

I auto Dismantle any yr 2 weapon that has the central new perk lower other sliders, or the burn doesn't match the mob type. Don't settle. RNG will fill the gaps now so be picky.

1000 yard stare is as good as any year 1 sniper tbh. The aim assist on it is pretty much the same as Shadow of veils with shortgaze. People are still using year 1 rockets and shotguns because the drop rates on the year 2 party crashers and ash factories are terrible, they almost never drop anymore post game. So it's hard to even get one, getting a good roll is going to take the whole year.

Sorta agree, I can't find a weapon I like. Love scout rifles, but most of the maps are small and tight, they favor pulse rifles......hate pulse rifles, and my hand cannons seem to be nerfed to all hell.

Anyone using the year one weapons in IB or ToO will be at a disadvantage since they have stated players level/light will matter. Some really good players may make them work, most though will have to move on.

The problem , entirely , is that in dlc2 , everyone rolled perfect weapons that could never be replaced , in time these will be watered out , but it will take time

Not really.. I actually feel like all of them are useful in the right situation (don't. Use a scout rifle 4 feet away and don't use an auto rifle across the map) and they are super effective.. Not sure what you're talking about lol

My current all around PvP setup only has 1 piece of year 1 gear which is the armamentarium. Other than that all year 2 stuff.

I prefer year two weapons and I have had no problems putting down y1 weapon users. I just laugh to myself because people can't adapt and move on.
