Just spent an hour doing strikes. Didn't finish one.
Why? Quitters and AFKs. Seriously, a little over an hour and couldn't finish a single god damn strike.
Quitters and AFK people, and you know who you are, go -blam!- yourself.
Edit: I'm going to spend the remainder of my night watching youtube vids of Halo 5 rather than attempt another heroic strike.
Edit 2: Whoa this blew up. Thanks for the support from those who gave it. To the shit-talkers; you can lump yourselves in with the quitters and AFKs and take the advice I gave them. :)
Edit 3: Jesus over 500 replies. One night of frustrating Destiny gameplay = my most "successful" thread yet. Damn.

I had an afk during dust palace, the shadow thief on both the afk got the cloaks almost had 2 on undying mind but yes some sort of penalty should be in effect to discourage it

1 AntwortenI hardly drop out and even more so now there is the streak bonus, makes me so mad when I'm on like my fifth strike and people drop out at the beginning and it never match makes me so i have to take twice as long to finish the damn thing

Best find some friends to run with mate. Match making can be a huge waste of time.

I honestly haven't really had this problem in heroics or regular strikes. I do have to admit though, I have been leaving the Valus strike due to him no longer dropping any loot.

Only reasons I leave strikes is because of lag and quitters. Don't care about AFK people as I usually have another person going with me or a friend that can join in their place.

Only do strike packages with your friends. Zero point and doing them with matchmaking as so many people leave during the shittier strikes.

Just solo it, no big deal.

It genuinely sucks, happens so much more now but saying that, should get matchmade quicker as played with one for ages and pretty much completed another 2 strikes with just 2 of us

To be honest I'd rather have someone quit on me then have to carry someone through a strike. Did the Dark Blade strike yesterday evening and the only other guy in my fireteam didn't kill a single person from start to finish. He even glitched into the wall in the final boss area and still got credit for the entire strike because he would pop out and shoot it a couple times and glitch back in. It was frustrating, but I refused to quit the strike because I was already 4 or 5 strikes in and didn't want to lose my buff...

Yup. It seems like maybe 1 out of 5 strikes people don't bail or go afk. Also, the new thing I'm seeing is afk dipshits in daily crucible now. I guess people just figure they can spawn in for 15 free marks now. It was 1 vs. 3 for me this morning so I got on the mic and started verbally assaulting my 2 pussy afk team mates and told them they were getting reported. They bailed and I held on until 2 more players spawned in. We came back from a 3,000 point deficit to win by a couple hundred points. Fu## ya!

1 AntwortenLots of new people playing, and lots of people are coming back to the game. We need a few giant ban hammer swings, with possible collateral damage, to get everyone back in line. People just forgot they used to ban people for this. Hopefully they will ban them again soon.
