We appreciate their valued feedback and suggestions and upon reviewing their time spent in game have determined that the account is not eligible for a refund.
This is what they sent me through the BBB after they refused to answer my questions. Apparently "time spent" is now an excuse to not listen to consumers.

Bearbeitet von Pep: 9/28/2015 12:12:16 AMThis guy is a troll! Look at his history. He basically was angry with house of wolves and has been in the forums ever since. I enjoy the game now! And for anyone who doesn't have the update I highly recommend it

7 AntwortenQuestion. When a game company stop the online content of a game the I bought a few years ago, can I get a refund even after playing the shit out of it? What I mean is, sometimes or another, all online games gets offline or are no longer taking care of. That's the way online gaming as been since day one. The game, no matter what is form is, provide us entertainment and being entertain cost money. Destiny is no different. We don't pay to own a game, we paid a licence to play the game online. Destiny do not have a subscrition based system but they have dlc to add and improve their game. So if you don't want to continue to pay for the next dlc, do not expect to play the game as it was before. I don't like this system and I feel bad for those who can't afford the game and can't play the content that was there before. But some of the stuff like the trial and the wolves bounties are not even available to those who bought TTK at this moments. Also, how can someone ask for a refund after playing 300+ hours with a game? You can' t buy TTK, I'm sorry you can't. You don't want to buy TTK, do not expect any compensation and stick to what Bungie is offering you at this moment or quit. You can't play WOW or FF14 without paying a monthly charge. At least with Destiny, you can still play the game.

1 AntwortenWell yeah, i mean if you put in a couple hundred hours... I'd claim you were full of shit too.

22 AntwortenTime Spent would make sense if this were a subscription based game, but Destiny isn't. (Though with how they try to shove DLCs down your throat, one could hardly tell the difference) People shouldn't have to go through the BBB to get a refund, to be honest. That shit should just be freely offered by Activision if the customers feel so cheated. But then again, that's Corporate America for you. Shitting on the little guy every single day cause money is all they care about. Gotta love how some people on here are happy about that, though. I mean really, you have to be rather damn petty to comment on someone's post just to jab at them for wanting a refund. And you gotta have a serious ego to tell someone they aren't ALLOWED to feel like they should deserve one, either. Since when did Gamers adopt an Anti-Consumerist mentality? That's about as stupid as people killing each other over this ridiculous Console War garbage in real life. I shit you not, there are stories of people actually losing their lives over such nonsense. But its whatever, I guess. The Fanboys want to actually keep on encouraging such acts of brutality and persecution? Fine. World is going to hell in a hand basket anyways. Just know that when everything comes to an end and the survivors start to rebuild, there won't be any place for that kind of self-serving crap in the New World Order.

6 AntwortenMy BBB complaint was filed a couple weeks ago. In my origninal complaint i had to give my contact info, ..........Aweek goes by and i get a response from Activision. THey tell me to fu/uck myself, and that its Bungies deal, so then i wait another week. Got a response from the BBB, and it stated Bungie had contacted them, and claimed to not be able to get in contact with ME. LOL. CLearly a lie, The BBB, AND ACTIVISION both were able to contact me..................SO they absolutely do lie to the BBB, probably to buy time for this new EULA to be pushed out.

3 AntwortenSo your saying that if I play a game for a year straight everyday I should be able to just get a full refund for it when I don't want to play anymore?
-
5 AntwortenBut I would argue that at the time of purchase, I didn't realize, nor was ever told, the product would essentially expire...relatively soon.

I don't understand all the delusional non-sense on this forum. You should be entitled to a refund, I agree. They locked off loads of content that you used to have access to prior to TTK launch. This was likely all part of a scheme to "encourage" purchase of TTK. Honestly though, if you bought TTK then you have no clue how bad the game is since the most recent patch(for those that didn't buy). It may very well be worth it to you, but to very many it's just bad practice. It's not the price alone, $40 isn't that much truly. But when you look at the big picture it's robbery. -lacking content at release -lack of IN GAME grouping options -removal of content -degradation of year 1 content There are many more reasons why people are upset, this is just a short general list. The way Bungivision is choosing to execute things is terrible, and they know it, but they already made their money(if they don't allow refunds). It shows with how they devalue their own product. Every time a new expansion launches there's a bundle for all of it together for $60. This is for 2 reasons: 1. They already made their money and everything is profit 2. They want to bring in new players to replace the hundreds of thousands leaving the game BBB is a good step, hopefully their rating will plummet, but people need to keep filing. Unfortunately most will simply uninstall and throw away/shelf the game, but posting this in the forums might encourage some to take the extra steps. If Bungie starts losing money to full refunds they might decide to clean up their act.

Bah. The BBB have no teeth. Complain to them all you like; nothing will come of it.

Bbb means nothing.

42 AntwortenLol, this reminds me of when I used to work at a movie theatre. People would come out of the theatre after watching the whole movie and tell me they didn't like it and they wanted their money back. I told them to f*ck off too
-
Dude you can't play a game for year and then ask for you money back. Just like you can't go out dinner and after clean your plate refuse to pay the bill.
-
Lol, I have 1600 hours in the game, what would they tell me rofl.
-
1 AntwortenFor anyone who hasn't purchased TTK, the game is damn near unplayable. I tried playing with a friend who hasn't yet purchased the expansion, I have. We decided to do vanguard bounties on patrols together. As soon as the taken show up it's hopeless for him. Year 1 weapons at level 34 are cotton balls to taken lieutenants. The playlists in crucible are quite limited as well. Not in comparison to all the new maps but what was available before TTK. If Bungie/Activision gets away with these kind of business practices it will be bad for consumers for years to come. You know the saying, "give them an inch and they'll take a mile?" This is a mile. Once they get the mile they set their sights on acres. It's not just game developers, it's in human nature to push boundaries.

Bearbeitet von Gunship: 9/26/2015 6:46:06 AMThe power is these things is not in an individual response or even a refund. The power in what we say and report is in our voice. We are a chorus of people with legitimate complaints about the business practices of a company (pair of companies). Don't think for a second any of this is ok for Activision and Bungie. That they have to expend any energy at all defending themselves from our reports is a victory. Every time they give some bs to the BBB it looks a little more fake and rings a little more hollow. BBB is one way. Microsoft refund is another. The people who don't have TTK have a solid basis for refund based on the lockdown of content. But their is this as well, every time Microsoft has to give back money because Bungie and Activision are lieing cheats, Bungievsion looses credibility with Microsoft. Right now on every front Activision and Bungie rep are in free fall. The lesson here for them is that taking the player community lightly and trying to scam them will cost them. If not money then rep (which is future revenue at the very least).

Bearbeitet von KrazyM82: 9/27/2015 6:31:26 AMGave the same reply to my complaint. Not surprised at all. Which is why I've always said the best solution to their unethical business practice is to... BOYCOTT BUNGIE AND ACTIVISION

Robbers! Thats what they are! They even ruined my chance to sell my destiny vanilla cd! Nobody wants it anymore!

1 AntwortenThey are trying to make the stupid time spent argument, when video games are products that don't expire?

3 AntwortenITT: Desticles who think an arbitrary number absolves a company of responsibility for their product

4 AntwortenOne thing to remember about the BBB is that they have no power to make Bungeie do anything and it is not a government agency either. I was a supervisor over a BBB response team, not at bungie, and when the BBB sent us new complaints we had up to 10 days to respond. The faster our response the less the complaint effected our rating. I would recommend rebuttling as you have as that will also lower their score due to lack of initail resolution. My team actually called and spoke with our customers that complained, try requesting a call from legal, that's what branch my team was under at the company.
