One for each enemy race :)
1. We have eliminated all of the Cabal command in our system, and messages have been sent to their Empire in deep space. Oh, and what was sent here was just the tip of the spear, a beach head that belies their true power.
2. Grimoire records allude to a god that Oryx served. While this could simply be rhe Darkness, there is a good chance that it is another entity entirely. If so, he will not be happy that his greatest worshiper has been killed, and will likely retaliate.
3. While the Fallen seem to be stalled and hopeless, Variks is undeniably working at strings behind the Reef's back. His words and definitely show a burning passion to bring the House of Judgement back to power and drag the Fallen out of their downcast existence and back to glory.
4. The Vex have been defeated repeatedly by the Tower's forces, leading to over-confidence among the guardians. But what is defeat to a race that can manipulate time itself? The constant and dreadful question will hang in the air forever: are we truly stopping them, or simply playing into their intricate design? All that we have done could very well be for naught.
I hope this post sparks some interest for everyone!
Edit: I'm so glad that so many people have actually responded to this. I was sure that my post was gonna get lost and die in a sea of nerf posts. Yet, lo and behold, we got this baby trending!
Thank u to everyone that has put in their opinion and their insight. Keep the ideas rolling.
Edit: You guys are blowing my mind with ideas. I'm learning alot from different people and hearing awesome theories. I think this is what bungie really envisioned from this game. :)
Edit: I'm going to add some things that people have brought to my attention that really are major points.
1. We have yet to truly understand the Nine. While they seem to help us, there is so little we know. We've never seen them, we don't know where they are, we don't know who they are, and they crave an item (Strange Coins) that seemingly has no use to us, and they will gladly give extremely rare equipment for them.
2. We have yet to face a true embodiment of the Darkness, or have an understanding of what it really is. We have killed it's minions left and right but what will we do when it comes after us to stop us itself? And on what plane could such a battle be fought?
3. Eris..... she is just one creepy bitch. She quite obviously has hidden motives and agendas that do not in any way seem good for the Tower. It will be interesting to see what all of this leads to when her plans become unveiled.
Btw, this is by far to best quote ever from the Book of Sorrows.
"This is your god. It is never ticklish."

Methinks the next DLC will be called the rise of the sweeper bots. Lol.

I feel like we're going to get more races: perhaps lead a Psion insurrection?

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von loonigus: 9/25/2015 1:39:54 PMI recomend to read trough AnonPigs Sword and Killing logic thread. Did we defeat Oryx using the the Sword Logic by proving ourself as true and eliminating him or did he let us perform the killing logic at the end to make us kill him proving our actions as false and making him stronger? There is also his two sisters. One a very smart genius Wizard and the second an even more powerfull sowrdmaster then Oryx that could wipe entire solar systems with a single blow ripping trough dimensions. Or is it the Vex god that defeated Oryx and his sisters in the Vex dimension? (Maybe the next raid?). Also Oryx (previously named Auryx) destroyed his Worm god Akka (there are 3 more Yuul, Eir and one more) the chests on the ship are named after them btw. If you do the new Vex strike there is a mention of "What if the Vex are the reason our world is as it is now?". The Vex seem to follow the rule of death same as Oryx, but he never could understand them. For some reason the Vex worship the darkness (the black garden mission) which goes completely against any logical explanation.

4 AntwortenWell the final cutscene eris talks about some queen and what I got from it was that she basically used us, so I'm assuming the taken queen will appear eventually. And not really sure if anyone got this idea but if the awoken queen is dead and Crowe survived, he'd basically be king as he was her brother and I doubt she had children, so technically he'd be taking the awaken throne, making him actually be the taken King.
-
According to lore, I would say that guardians do not even have the raw power to defeat Oryx.
-
8 AntwortenI believe we also need to be concerned with Rasputin. Good post!

Nice post. I assumed that tougher people would continue to pop up but I like your ideas. :p

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Synthetic Ronin: 9/25/2015 12:45:46 PM1) The head of the Cabal Empire is somewhere within a several lightyear radius of nearby systems, when Dead Orbit traced the signal sent from within the Dreadnaught in "Outbound Signal". 2) The beings that Oryx served sounded a lot like the Ahamkara. 3) Variks will become The Kell of Kells, having united the houses and driven away or defeated The Fallen's foes. 4) We'll learn more about The Vex once Osiris leaves exile and makes himself known.

Yeah I'm just sticking up on weapons and materials day after day in preparation of what's bound to come in the years ahead , we just faced a 200 foot tall God on his own ship, wtf could be worst ?
-
Oryx jousts complies to his work in order to survive. He doesn't exactly "serve" it anymore.

What if the vex are the referees of this war

6 Antworten5 things. We still have not seen the actual darkness, and it is heavily hinted that it is a physical creature, or has a physical form.
-
1 AntwortenIt's okay, though. Why? Because Dead Orbit's getting what they want. You mean? Yep. We're taking a Dreadnought and the rest of the Hive fleet.
-
I'll speak to the first two. I hope the message being sent out is indicative of an upcoming cabal expansion. The god that oryx serves is a worm. It doesn't exactly indicate what this worm looks like but it does say the dreadnought is made out of a portion of one of these worms (there's four I belive, correct me if I'm wrong) The hive as we know them are a parasitic bond between these worms larvae and a species known as the krill. I don't see these gods acting on there own. The danger is oryx has two sisters with thier own fleets. One of those is known for curiosity, the other is known for war. The calcified fragment lore discusses all this and is very interesting. I wish THEY WOULD PUT IT IN THE GAME SOMEHOW! <short rant over>
-
4 Antwortenoh there is also an artifact you can get in the game that hints that it is the a piece of cabal tech that points to the entity that is commanding the entire army.

Bearbeitet von Ereaser: 9/25/2015 12:59:45 PMTo add to 2, Oryx did not create the power to take enemies. Edit: To add to 3, the House of Kings also still is a thing.

6 AntwortenFallen status by House: House of Kings: Currently in the best position of all the House, as they still have a Kell, Prime Servitor, and who knows how many Archons/Priests. House of Exile: Arguably in the second best position since, by their very nature, they have no leadership elements that are higher than Barons. And only one has been killed so far, but given their proximity to the Hive I doubt that this is a rare occurrence. House of Devils: No longer having a Prime Servitor or any Archon/Priests leaves them in a perilous position. Though, given their loose affiliation with the House of Kings, they may yet survive. House of Winter: Basically in the shithole. They no longer have a Kell, Prime, or Archon. And most remaining Fallen joined Skolas and the House of Wolves, which was basically the nail in the coffin for them. House of Wolves: Nonexistent outside of the Prison of Elders, and even then only exist in smaller and smaller numbers. House of Judgement: Variks is bae. He is also the only member of Judgement, so... House of Rain: Destroyed during the Whirlwind/Oryx's Crusade against the Traveler. House of Stone: Exterminated by Oryx and his Dreadnaught at an undetermined date.

Honestly the destiny story and races are all stupid and pointless. I say give my opinions in your order. First the cabal, massive space dominating empire, not only do we constantly put down the biggest cabal threat only to find a new one, but they cant even take mars properly, then they fail to beat the taken and oryx that 6 guardians can take down without a care. So bring on the empire if they blow up moons for getting in there way then why not do that? The Hive are sooooo boring, oh noooo its Crota, but its cool this one guy soloed him and then my fireteam banished his soul from his own house, but wait Oryx the daddys here, its ok I soloed him then my fireteam beat him in his special little place. WHAT!!! another hive god well im sure it will be fine. Fallen are a joke, you kill and Archon your first time out and then every fallen threat is wiped under your boot, they are the victims of the galaxy, the awoken have pet fallen, Skolas, Kell of Kells, soloed and then some how more powerful while in prison... They are said to be a shattered empire that just wanted to travellers help and all we do is try to exterminate them, nice. If the fallen have a threat worthy of the other races left ill tip my cap to you. Finally the Vex... the worst of them all, you cant have an enemy that control time because anything that controls time should by all logic automatically win, Time travel in any fiction is always logically messed up so I shall not credit the vex with anymore. Thats what I think of the destiny races, basically they should all be able to wipe out the tower without effort but most guardians can solo any threat they pose, so im not worried about anything, P.s The big problem is the traveller being all powerful and making guardians all powerful, its just boring story telling.

I completely agree. Most of all with the Hive one. There's something else, and it won't be happy.

Bearbeitet von Broke n' Tokin': 9/25/2015 7:45:52 AMAmazing post! I have faith in the writers at Bungie to bring everything together, and the way things are heading... well it looks good. I'm speaking specifically about 1. Really hoping the next DLC is a Cabal assault on the Solar system. And about number 2. Many have speculated about the Ahamkara and their control over the Hive. Plus I believe many of the Dreadnaught chest keys are named after Ahamkara leaders (gods or whatever.) The Hive have also often been associated with worms. And Ahamkara have been referred to as "worms" in the Grimoire. Then we have those dragons flying around over Venus as the possible link between "wyrm" and "worm" So I really hope the next major expansion introduces us to them. The Agamakata darkness dragon thingies. Yeah

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Cruistix: 9/24/2015 10:29:55 PMTHIS is what I'm talking about... A post on the forums that has actual substance... Written by a person who is obviously passionate about the game...asking questions and trying to emurse him/herself into an awesome fantasy MMO/FPS/RPG (yeah, it's an MMO -- get over it).... I love it..these are the questions that matter...these questions are the ones Bungie HAS to answer... Well played sir, I hope we get the answers to those questions..and yes, it will probably come in another PAID expansion.. so be it.
-
The thing about the cabal is that they actually are an organized military race despite all the claims that their idiots. I think that their leaders have not heard of what is going on in the Milky Way and have not been taking the guardians seriously yet as a result. I'm hoping the cabal expansion will begin with them actually destroying a planet as they have been rumored to do before landing on Venus or somewhere else. I personally like the cabal the most out of all the enemy factions and think they have been getting the short end of the stick while the hive and vex soak up all the attention.
-
I hope Variks makes the Fallen Houses some sort of allies with us. Maybe explain To them we didn't steal the Traveller on our own accord? Maybe some will listen?
-
They will nerf any good guns we find.
-
3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Fatgull: 9/25/2015 8:35:41 AMThe vex could be simply letting us win, to simulate our strategies as discover our weaknesses. The Cabal are likely to return with a fleet that puts even the Dreadnaught to shame. Variks uses the Elder Cipher to control the ether flow to grow into a Kell. The Hive have hundreds if not thousands of gods and/or demigods, and this doesnt even include the Worm Gods. Rasputin might go batshit insane and convert Earth into Atomicbombia. So yeah, there is still lots of work ahead of us.

1 AntwortenWelp im killing my self. A gods dad worships a even stronger god.
