One for each enemy race :)
1. We have eliminated all of the Cabal command in our system, and messages have been sent to their Empire in deep space. Oh, and what was sent here was just the tip of the spear, a beach head that belies their true power.
2. Grimoire records allude to a god that Oryx served. While this could simply be rhe Darkness, there is a good chance that it is another entity entirely. If so, he will not be happy that his greatest worshiper has been killed, and will likely retaliate.
3. While the Fallen seem to be stalled and hopeless, Variks is undeniably working at strings behind the Reef's back. His words and definitely show a burning passion to bring the House of Judgement back to power and drag the Fallen out of their downcast existence and back to glory.
4. The Vex have been defeated repeatedly by the Tower's forces, leading to over-confidence among the guardians. But what is defeat to a race that can manipulate time itself? The constant and dreadful question will hang in the air forever: are we truly stopping them, or simply playing into their intricate design? All that we have done could very well be for naught.
I hope this post sparks some interest for everyone!
Edit: I'm so glad that so many people have actually responded to this. I was sure that my post was gonna get lost and die in a sea of nerf posts. Yet, lo and behold, we got this baby trending!
Thank u to everyone that has put in their opinion and their insight. Keep the ideas rolling.
Edit: You guys are blowing my mind with ideas. I'm learning alot from different people and hearing awesome theories. I think this is what bungie really envisioned from this game. :)
Edit: I'm going to add some things that people have brought to my attention that really are major points.
1. We have yet to truly understand the Nine. While they seem to help us, there is so little we know. We've never seen them, we don't know where they are, we don't know who they are, and they crave an item (Strange Coins) that seemingly has no use to us, and they will gladly give extremely rare equipment for them.
2. We have yet to face a true embodiment of the Darkness, or have an understanding of what it really is. We have killed it's minions left and right but what will we do when it comes after us to stop us itself? And on what plane could such a battle be fought?
3. Eris..... she is just one creepy bitch. She quite obviously has hidden motives and agendas that do not in any way seem good for the Tower. It will be interesting to see what all of this leads to when her plans become unveiled.
Btw, this is by far to best quote ever from the Book of Sorrows.
"This is your god. It is never ticklish."

Great post, some great brain food

You should also take note that the DLCs in general keep hinting at the steady return of the Vex. First, there was the strike about the Undying Mind, who came to try and restore the heart. Then, with TTK, there's the Restorative Mind on Venus which is... well, that's pretty self explanatory. :I There was also the Crucible map Vertigo, the Cabal scouting team simply vanished while exploring the ruins on Mercury, which in itself sounds verryyy familiar to the ability of the Oracles and Gorgons. The scouting team had to of been recent, too, considering the Cabal haven't exactly been in the solar system for very long. To me, at least, it seems like it's pretty obvious that the Vex are coming back.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheGodAmongMen: 9/25/2015 5:57:21 PM1. the cabal in our system were only scouts, the real army is still out there. 2. the hive had a handful of gods, a few of them wanted oyrx dead(who knows what will be next for them) 3. Variks will most likely become the kell of the fallen who join the gaurdians in another dlc or game. (a bunch of grimoire about how if the fallen don't change their ways they will become extinct hinting at this) (they also used to be guardians on their planet, the traveler gave them serivitors etc) 4. we can completely destroy vex contructs(traveler stopped mercury) we stopped the VoG etc.

3 AntwortenNot to mention Oryx isn't dead, although he moved his throne into the dreadnaught, I don't think the dreadnaught is his Sword World
-
1 AntwortenId be more worried about the cabal being kicked off mars, Because until humanity is strong enough to hold the planet the cabal are the only ones holding back the vex. If cabal left mars, the vex would take the planet in a day.
-
The gods that Oryx served seems to be the Ahamkara (sp?). The line "oh vengeance mine." seems too similar to the Ahamkara exotic flavor texts such as the new hunter gauntlets. My theory is that the worms we see in the dreadnought may be Ahamkara larva since we have no idea what they actually look like and have only seen parts of their skeletons.

Oryx worships nothing. He killed the wrym god of secrets and stole the power of the deep. He is a slave only to his worm inside of him as are all hive but that has no sentience, it just feeds.

Spellcheck "rhe" on 2

4 AntwortenI honestly don't think Queen Marisol is dead .. she's pissed off though wherever she is lol
-
Do you think the cabal raid will be the emperor himself? He's been mentioned a few times in this dlc, and I bet he's supa powerful.
-
I absolutely think the cabal is going to be a great raid later and will lead to great expanses

3 Antwortenthere is so much lore in destiny, its mind boggling, and that there are endless possibilities to the ends of current circumstances its impossible to tell what is going to happen... just a shame all that lore isn't in the game because it has been thought about but any 'casual' isn't going to experience the whole storytelling element destiny has to offer

Oh no! I shall change my ways and try to make peace with... *Sees Chest* Oh my gosh. Armor, Glimmer, Accessories! *Opens chest and jumps happily up and down at the sight of spinmetal and uncommon pants* Wait, what was I talking about before?

Very well written, good on you, sir.

11 AntwortenThe vex have simply been toying with us. An advanced civilization that can warp through time would send all its legions against us if we were a true threat. Atheon was some king of low level being in there race that they could (and probably have) replace. The black heart was worshiped by an offshoot of the vex whole. This group was separate from the main Vex allegiance and fell prey to an idol. I think we are in for some serious trouble with them. As for the Cabal, did you see the size of that ship crashed into the dreadnaught? That thing is massive. And the name "Dantallion Exodus"? Exodus as in something that leaves a group or area? That cannot be good when taken with the messages that it was sending back to the Cabal command. Also that was just one sect of the Cabal, the Skyburners. We haven't even met the royal group. The god that Oryx served turned oryx and the hive into what they are. They were humanoids (and Oryx was a woman who was attended by three witches much like Mara Sov) but fell prey to its influences. I think that this thing will be less angry about Oryx as it is amused by Guardians. I think that when we meet it we will have a serious problem. Think of how powerful Oryx was and he was essentially a minor being compared to the one he served.

I have a feeling we will side with the Fallen and the Reef and fight the Cabal or the Vex
-
We shouldn't worry about number 3. I doubt Variks would have us destroy the fallen, only to bring them back on the dark side. I assume if he wants the Eliksni back in power, he would allow them to be in their former place (similar to humanity).

8 AntwortenMy sisters would love to take my throne. Now that I am gone, they will. And this time. You Will Die.
-
This DLC is really hyping me up for every enemy species now. Every single one.

Bearbeitet von EagleClaws: 9/25/2015 6:42:24 PMAfter the secret exotic mission that has Variks speak before the 10 minutes, and wolves on mars, I've grown to like the fallen bastard! The man keeps tabs on us.

5 AntwortenWe can now wield all three elements on each character. Going forward, they could eventually add new elements and new subclasses, but since I think most of us have seen the theories that the Traveler is actually evil, and we know the Exo Stranger "was not forged in the light," what if at some point we got to use the darkness, or have darkness varients to our subclasses?
-
I assume god help us if I'm right that cabal will be the next dlc. Deej I believe has said that we most likely haven't seen the last of oryx. It was also stated somewhere that oryx himself didn't contain the power to take people. Either he was granted it from something/someone or they were using their powers through him. I agree with others that I'd like a vex dlc as the cabal blow balls and I'm tired of the pansy fallen and hive that hide.
-
I would love some kind of raid going to the vex homeworld where they are created or born or whatever haha I'm very interested in them
-
I love the concept of the Vex, and would really appreciate a DLC elaborating more into the extent of their power.
-
After all, it is only the beginning of year 2, so I would hope we haven't scratched the surface yet, as to where this 10 year story can go...
-
2 AntwortenCabal have technology that can rotate shields...that alone should have us worried. Yes Oryx used to be female but the female that produces all of this Hive should really have is worried. She'll be coming with the other son of Oryx. I expect a Cabal battle world soon.
