One for each enemy race :)
1. We have eliminated all of the Cabal command in our system, and messages have been sent to their Empire in deep space. Oh, and what was sent here was just the tip of the spear, a beach head that belies their true power.
2. Grimoire records allude to a god that Oryx served. While this could simply be rhe Darkness, there is a good chance that it is another entity entirely. If so, he will not be happy that his greatest worshiper has been killed, and will likely retaliate.
3. While the Fallen seem to be stalled and hopeless, Variks is undeniably working at strings behind the Reef's back. His words and definitely show a burning passion to bring the House of Judgement back to power and drag the Fallen out of their downcast existence and back to glory.
4. The Vex have been defeated repeatedly by the Tower's forces, leading to over-confidence among the guardians. But what is defeat to a race that can manipulate time itself? The constant and dreadful question will hang in the air forever: are we truly stopping them, or simply playing into their intricate design? All that we have done could very well be for naught.
I hope this post sparks some interest for everyone!
Edit: I'm so glad that so many people have actually responded to this. I was sure that my post was gonna get lost and die in a sea of nerf posts. Yet, lo and behold, we got this baby trending!
Thank u to everyone that has put in their opinion and their insight. Keep the ideas rolling.
Edit: You guys are blowing my mind with ideas. I'm learning alot from different people and hearing awesome theories. I think this is what bungie really envisioned from this game. :)
Edit: I'm going to add some things that people have brought to my attention that really are major points.
1. We have yet to truly understand the Nine. While they seem to help us, there is so little we know. We've never seen them, we don't know where they are, we don't know who they are, and they crave an item (Strange Coins) that seemingly has no use to us, and they will gladly give extremely rare equipment for them.
2. We have yet to face a true embodiment of the Darkness, or have an understanding of what it really is. We have killed it's minions left and right but what will we do when it comes after us to stop us itself? And on what plane could such a battle be fought?
3. Eris..... she is just one creepy bitch. She quite obviously has hidden motives and agendas that do not in any way seem good for the Tower. It will be interesting to see what all of this leads to when her plans become unveiled.
Btw, this is by far to best quote ever from the Book of Sorrows.
"This is your god. It is never ticklish."

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von DarthKippous: 9/25/2015 4:14:08 PMthe next dlc is definitely going to be about the cabal, the foreshadowing is too strong lol i think we'll see a lot about the fallen's story unfold over year two, but we probably won't have another fallen dlc for a while. variks says he is searching for a new kell to unite the houses do they stop fighting amongst each other, but if they stop fighting amongst themselves, wouldnt they try to attack the city again to get to the traveller? i think year two's equivalent of TTK will be about fallen. there's some juicy stuff about the hive in the new grimoire, but i havent been able to make any sense of it. what i do know for sure, is that they have ahamkara GASP yup, i cant recall what card i read this in, but oryx is talking to something and it answers "yes, oh ruler mine" or some such. i almost think their higher powers come from the ahamkara, and i also think the names of the chests in the dreadnaught, which supposedly are hive deities, are ahamkara. edit: all proof of the ahamkara-hive relationship is in the books of sorrow. their power does come from the ahamkara, Xol, Yul, Akka, etc are ahamkara, etc the vex are always such a wild card, since we don't know much of anything about them. i think they'll ultimately be our true and most powerful foe. i really hope the vex dlc comes next after the cabal, and that we can finally put some of our conspiracy theories to rest (and come up with new ones!! lol)

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von SirLyre: 9/26/2015 4:27:34 AMI'm sure there's something on this already, but Uldren is confirmed to have survived after the opening scene of TTK in the grimoire cards. It's also stated that he's not sure if Mara Sov (the queen) is truly dead or not, and he's going to go looking for her. I'm sure that this will at least be a sub-plot in the next dlc! ( http://db.destinytracker.com/grimoire/allies/the-queen/the-aftermath ) Also, at the end of the narration of the TTK opening cutscene, Mara Sov mentions a "hidden friend." Maybe I just missed something, but I don't think it was ever revealed who she meant... Could've been Eris, but like I said, I'm not sure.

Fear the taken queen (mara) And the architects.
-
I think the grimoire card that has a vision of different guardian craft from the different factions all shot to hell and flying away with remains of the city should be a hint at what is to come.

17 AntwortenThe real questions are, What power and Deal did Oryx really strike? Why do the Cabal, Hive, Vex, and Fallen fight against eachother if they all utilize the darkness. Where is the Devils Kell, the spire is uhm... abandoned. Who was the third person on Kabrs Fire Team? Yeah...

4 AntwortenThe vex cannot manipulate time. Just dimensions
-
You forgot about global warming
-
What about Nokris? It's a scannable statue next to a statue for crota an another for oryx. The ghost says it's has no records of that name and there's nothing in the worlds grave about him/her, but they must be important if they are next to oryx and crota
-
3 AntwortenI forget the word but when Oryx gives the death clap, the word for it means something like giving praise to a higher God.
-
1 AntwortenWell I highly doubt that variks will do anything to betray us so the fallen are Allsweet since we've wiped out all major houses. As for the hive, outside oryxs throne room in the recicide mission there are 2 statues. One is Crota & the other is another hive prince. The vex are infinite, kill one and there are thousands more. Atheon, Nexus Mind, Templar & Restorative Mind were big losses for them though. I have a feeling there is somthing hidden on Mercury that the vex protect since that was the world they first inhabited. (If you didn't know, Crota bought the vex into our universe and when they went back to their own its belived the darkness followed and tainted their race.) Cabal on the other hand are intresting. What you said brings up a great point, we've only faced the tip of the spear which is absolutely true. The cabal have an entire empire way way way off past our solar system & the fact that guardians have started to mess with their plans (Mars takeover, black garden infiltration, drednaught, ect.) it's bound to piss the cabal command off. The taken however will dye out eventually without oryx being able to take anymore but they will still haunt our system.

With the Queen gone something is definitely happening with the house of judgement soon.

Well oryx served akka and he became more powerful then Akka. And the deep is most likely what hit us during the collapse, the same thing that rasputin fought. So we won't see much of the actual darkness for a little

What if the end of destiny is us becoming so powerful we defeat the vex and they are no more and we master their technology. Then a couple of guardians go back to prevent the collapse and save the traveler, and in doing so, actually cause the collapse. And that brings us back to square 1

Awesome post.

1 AntwortenI want to see more Hive dlcs. I hope TTK is not the end of the Hive.
-
2 AntwortenBump for later. This post and the comments are too good.
-
Never say that about Variks!
-
Don't forget the next two dlcs are supposedly gonna be vex and cabal so we may only have to wait a few months for the answer to some of these questions.
-
Nothing should have us worried, we are all of us, Man, Woman and Child.. Guardians of Light and we will defeat the Darkness, it's servants and any one else who oppose us.
-
2 AntwortenThe nine is who we should be worried about

Scrub scrub
not really was very interested in where you went with that.
4 AntwortenI haven't read much of the grimoire, but I have a crazy theory. The Queen is dead, but her memories were preserved, saved, and transferred to an exo. She then came back in time to get our guardians on the right track, and even donates her favorite gun.

Great post, some great brain food
